    thank you for this video and for opening up. Everyone has struggled in life and usually it's easy to just give up. For me, I've been through a lot and what keeps me strong is the realization that all these shall pass and I have God who is there for me no matter what.

    Oh my so sorry about your journey. It's so sensitive and important for everyone to take care of their mental health. There is definitely a stigma, but I always feel that regardless we should really be fully aware of how we feel at all times. Taking breaks definitely help as well 😊💕

    I wanna thank you for being so brave & transparent babe. I know putting yourself out there is super scary not knowing what people are gonna say (& if anyone gets outta line you send them my way 🤜🏾😉). I can only imagine taking care of little humans all day most be tough. Especially more then one lol. I bet it’s hard as heck for a kid to kinda be stuck in the house for the most part of the day. And I’m sure you have to deal with that frustrated super energized kid. I totally agree asking for help when needed. I know it’s hard for some people.

    Thank you Andrea for opening up. In April I was struggling and it was a dark time in my life. I wish there was no stigma on getting help. Counseling for me has been amazing. I hope I could go back to counseling in the future.

    My dad was a Psych major and he still has anxiety and depression issues too! Just because you know the signs doesn't mean you are immune to it! Its good that you recognize that!

    I agree, there’s never going to be a cure for mental illness. Only ways to manage it and cope with it

    I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and bipolar 2 when I was 17...but I remember having my first panic attack at 12. I just didn’t have words for what I was going through then. You’re definitely not alone. 💕

  • @XOXOJulianne

    Yeah same, about having time for therapy or counseling. I don’t have time for that. Especially if i’ll have to drive 30-40+ minutes there as well.

    That’s so scary, when you have an anxiety attack but don’t know what’s going on

  • @RobHaley
    @RobHaley 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think that happens to so many people with therapy, the first therapist people see isn’t the right fit for them so they just give up

  • @MommaFriendly
    @MommaFriendly 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had similar anxieties as a child. I had an uncle die of prostate cancer when I was 6 and I remember realizing we were all going to die and how sad it made everyone when HE died, so I constantly worried whenever my parents were out of sight because I just KNEW I was never going to see them again

  • @MommaFriendly

    I had a miscarriage in April 2018, and another in November 2019. I talked about it A LOT on FB and to irl friends because I needed to get it out, and I was shocked how many women around me had gone through similar issues.

    I couldn't agree with you more. I had anxiety attacks when I was younger and I was put on Paxil. I didn't like it so I got off. When I was pregnant with my son 3 years ago and was anxious my doctor put me on Zoloft and I've been on it ever since and I love it! I also think everyone should have a therapist lol!

    Miscarriage is such a complicated thing. Its so hard to understand what is happening and why. And being an anxious person creates so many issues.

  • @XOXOJulianne

    There is a stigma. It’s crazy and it took me a wile to finally open up with my doctor. He listened but told me to go counseling. :/
    thanks doc! Hopefully my anxiety will allow me to do this soon, it’s already been 8 months since then.

    My anxiety got so much worse after having kids!! I would check if they were breathing non stop like you said I didn’t want anyone else to watch them because I was afraid something would happen to them. I always imagined the worst.

  • @MommaFriendly
    @MommaFriendly 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    They put me on Xanax for the anxiety and I think Zoloft for the bipolar? It was almost 20 years ago. I hated it. I switched to a cognitive behavioral therapist and she showed me so many techniques (breathing exercises, self care, etc) that helped me learn to cope with things better so I could get off the meds

    My son has nonverbal autism, and will likely never live independently. I feel like I spend a lot of life dissociating and trying to keep my mind busy because thinking of the realities of our lives is just too much for me to handle
