    How do you know what to make a cashiers check out for if you don’t know what the final bid is going to be?

      Usually we bring denominations of $1,000. Then they'll send you a refund cheque. Or sometimes you'll just put a deposit down and pay the rest later. Depends on the county.

      Fair enough! You should check out states close to washington as well :) It's best to start in or close to your own background. Even smaller counties in washington would be a great place to look!

    how do you bring cashiers checks if its a bidding amount? do you just bring a bunch of different amounts??

    • @DustinHahnREI
      @DustinHahnREI  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup! exactly. We usually bring some big checks and then smaller denominations so we get close. They'll give you the extra back, but it can take a week or more depending on the county.

    Hi. In a tax deed situation, if there is a mortgage, does the mortgage only get wiped away if the the house goes to auction or is the mortgage also wiped away if you catch the owner before that property goes to auction?

      Its funny ive seen this question before and i waiting with you for the answer.

    • @DustinHahnREI
      @DustinHahnREI  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Judah, sorry for the late reply, but if you buy it before the auction, it DOES NOT get wiped out. So if you are going to buy it before, make sure you know how the total liens on the property and then determine if it's worth buying!
