I had no idea this setup could retrofit. I was going to get the whole kit, but you only need the filter and the front plate? I think I know what setup I'll be swapping too.
No, I’m asking you because I can’t figure it out and I’m about to lose my mind in doing so. Lol I want to clean my K&N filter but can’t find the correct socket. I’m assuming a 12-point or spline socket. What did you use to loosen them?
I havent bothered yet until i start riding again once it warms up, you shouldnt need to because even the stock filter is a mass air flow this one is just better against the elements
All intake on bikes are "cold air intake" 😅😂 and why harp on torque specs if you're going to overtorque them one click means you hit 60 inch pounds 5 clicks of over torqued it
When u say it is normal that filter fins to bend once you tighten the front cover. No it is not normal and it is due wrong thickness of the K&N filter which doesn't have same thickness all around. When you know the price of the filter alone. This is something that shouldn't happen at all and filter should have same thickness all around evenly.

How does this compare to the Screaming Eagle elite air cleaner?
You should get a rain sock for it. I got one for mine, it does help.
Also I used black oil on mine
Are you selling your stock air cleaner?
Great help, on mine 8mm does not fit too small and 11/32 too big. Ideas?
Found the socket. Subscribed and Liked Video
What socket fits?
@@rphd07 Thanks, figured it out.

Not sure if you’re still looking for the right socket. But it is an 8 mm. Just needs to be 12 sided socket or a wrench.
Did you need to retune the bike?

Yes you would have to because of the increase of airflow. Just use the screaming eagle tuner, very easy to do yourself
Thankyou

Going until a solid click 🥹😂
