I just received this in the mail. Mine came with the k and n cover. Not gonna use it cause I don’t like how it looks but it’s weird that others that received the intake didn’t get the cover
Thank you for the install video. I am a bit confused about the breather bolts. I want to use the DK Customs external breather system on my bike. I also and wanting to possibly use this air cleaner to add the extra air. In the video it never showed how the new air cleaner works with the breather system. Or how you addressed it. Any mods you did or anything would be appreciated. And the backing plate doesn’t look like the stock one. The stock one appears to lay the filter system back deeper and more flush with engine. The Fuel Moto version seems like it flush mounts the backing plate. Thus making it stick further out away from engine. I’m ok with that because I want to add external breather and the extra clearance would help with my plans to locate the catch can behind the plate the best that I can.
Great looking intake. But like someone else has mentioned there is no hook up for the breather bolts when you’re done. I noticed on the backing plate there are two ports but nothing hooked to them

I am seeing one on arlenness website - "BIG SUCKER® UPGRADE AIR FILTER, M8 FACTORY OVAL" .Seems like it can replace my stock oval 114 air cleaner and this one kind of matches the one shown in this video
they eliminate the poor fitting & non-sealing rubber velocity stack as well as the spacers. The finished product uses a proper gasket and we provide correct hardware for use with the factory Ventilator® cover for a stealthy appearanc

is the outside diameter of the filters identical? if so why not just add 2 holes to the thicker filter and use stock backing plate?
Long did you ride before you tune the bike after you put the new air filter on ????
Have a question. Did you also put on slip-ons for your exhaust? If so did you get a Dyno tune after you put on your new high flow Air filter?

Do you get more valve noise now? I put the Screaming Eagle Ventilator Extreme on my 2017 Tri Glide. When I get on it I can hear the valves.

Im not sure did i miss you putting in yhe vent hoses...where does all the oil that us suppose to come out and go back in the breather

Anymore leaking after you put the stock breather bolts back in?
I ended up ordering longer breather bolts, no leaks from air filter anymore. And new rubber gaskets.

I'm not sure, but this filter sucks in alot more air than previously.

I just took the whole setup off

I ended up ordering so aftermarket breather bolts, I never called them. I'll be doing a follow video shortly.

Yeah its channeled through the backing plate. I don't think I'd run different breather bolts unless you have a plan for an external breather system.
