i have a mixed feeling about the Seirra Blue. Sometimes it looks amazing and sometimes it looks meh. it depends on the lighting, i supposed. IMO, it looks the best outdoors. the graphite is starting to grow on me.
I got the graphite model and I plan to use the dBrand skins and trust me, the customization that you can have with the dBrand skins is far better than rocking the Sierra Blue model with or without a case. Sadly the skins from dBrand don’t look good with the Sierra Blue model.

I bought sierra blue and I love it. It's very close to my iPad Air's sky blue color. Gives silver-ish look at some angles so I like it. I'm kind of disappointed how you said it's pale dull etc... later I took it as YOUR opinion, not what me or everyone else might feel like. So, If anyone here likes light blue colors, go for it. You wouldn't regret it :)

I love the graphite and silver can't decide between the two. Both are simplistic and beautiful. But the silver has somewhat aggressive metallic sides, I prefer the darker sides on the graphite but the white back would match with more bright cases. Tough choice!
Gold hands down! The White/Silver certainly is clinically clean and does look nice, however it has too much of a cold bleakness to it and lacks any hint of colour to add some warmth and life to those destitute, post-apocalyptic bleak grey wintery days. Again it's a really clean colour option, but I can't help thinking of bathrooms/toilets with their clean white ceramic basins and shiny silver chrome taps (not an ideal association). The Space-Grey is certainly a true classic and the one to go for if your unsure and/or want it to blend with anything else - for those wanting black, then it's the closest (only choice) you get, however myself and no doubt many other techies often have way too many gadgets and tech in black already which leaves you with an urge and a feeling to break away from that repetition in order to have something different, but not too extreme. The Sierra-Blue is a nice shade of blue this time around and quite unique, however as refreshing as the yearly special colour options are, they tend to become a novelty that very soon goes out of date and out of fashion. I even liked the green that came out on the iPhone 11 at the time, but that was only briefly at the time as I couldn't imagine nor bare having that colour now. The sierra blue is probably the best out of the special colour options so far though. But, I think it's likely going to be Gold for me (again). I already have a 12 pro max in gold and will be upgrading very soon. I've always had black iPhones and then space grey before finally having gold for my last two iPhones. I have been torn between getting gold again, or space grey, or white/silver in which white/silver would be the fist time for me; I must admit, very very tempted on white/silver. However for the reasons above, I think it will be gold again. Incidentally, I have my gold iPhone 12 Pro Max in the rather impressive UAG Midnight Camo case and with the iPhone's black screen (when off) and black case sides with very dark Midnight Camo back pattern, you would think it's a black iPhone except for the camera cut-out that gives it away - basically I get more choice this way with dark look when in the case or that warm gold accent look when phone is bare. (you can see the dilemma I've had choosing!)
I had the 11 and 12 pro max in Silver and went with the Gold 13 pro max this time and absolutely love it! I just needed a change and wanted something different. Very happy with my choice 😊

Yes, the white looks very cheap to me. It’s too bright! Too much contrast with the black camera so I got the Gold Pro Max. It looks straight up money! It’s like a piece of jewelry & works with lots of case colors somehow, especially maroon red or burgundy case.
I am struggling to choose between gold and graphite... I think that although the silver and sierra blue are both very clean, the gold and graphite bring something more. Gold seems very luxurious while graphite is incredibly sleek.. Such a difficult decision! My gut says gold...
I’ve had the Sierra Blue for a few months and sold it for 90% of what I paid and picked up the Graphite Color instead, definitely don’t regret it, the Sierra Blue looked too silver a lot of times for me and having the Graphite it definitely looks better for me.
yes, this time they really made a super high-end color 👌 but there is a risk that it may quickly become boring, so I will probably choose silver, although it is difficult to resist the new blue

Thanks for making this video, as someone said earlier, please do one like this every year. Sierra Blue looks great, but I think to take advantage of this color, you need to use a clear case. Graphite was my first choice, but I was tossing up between blue and graphite. I plan to get a few cases so I think the Graphite is probably the color I'm gonna go for. Clear case, UAG, leather case, that dark camera look just works all around. And I know after a few months, if I get the blue, I'll end up wrapping it for a different look. I didn't care what color my Pro Max was. Told the clerk surprise me. Color is a complete non issue for me. Ended up with Sierra Blue. Put a screen protector, back protector on and tossed it in a Spigen Tough Armor case.

This is honestly the best iPhone comparison video I have ever watched. It was so helpful seeing all the different colours in each type of lighting. I have been torn between the Gold and Sierra Blue. I think the Gold is super classy, but I had the 12 Pro in that color. The Sierra Blue is just so gorgeous and finally a color that isn't masculine like the previous 2 were. First sight the blue is quite standing out beautifully...however it turns into an 'old' and not so clean color if looking at it more. Graphite looks classic and expensive as always

I went for the gold one because although I wasn't a fan of the colour in Apple's marketing, in video reviews it's much more of a light gold and I took a bit of a gamble on that, it's supposed to arrive in a week and I am super excited!

I honestly don’t like the look of the 3 cameras sticking out on the side when I’m on the phone. Graphite looks subtle and classy. I like the gold sides cos they look like gold bars.

The Gold and Silver are so clean. Defo the best 2. The edges on the gold and silver are so clean but I think gold wins that. Everyone is gonna have the blue and while I do often love the colorful options more its not that different from silver in a way. I got the gold because its kind of sleek and flashy but also subtle and you can rock it careless as well. it also happened to be the only one in the store 😂 Ive always loved the Gold iPhones and wanted to get one and this is my first one.
I respect your personal preference but I think the Sierra Blue is absolutely STUNNING. It literally looks so expensive and fashionable. They all look very elegant and premium tbh, but the blue is my fave because it's subtle yet has personality.
I feel the same way. I understand going with timeless colors is a safe choice but as a designer, sierra blue has its own class if you’re creative with it. I think apple did a really good job on choosing an exclusive color this year! Thus me getting a Sierra Blue, and not regretting it in one bit!

@@ajladriano They’re actually more durable to scratches than the aluminium on the standard 13’…Check out Jerryrigeverything’ video on the 13 Pro and the 13 and you can see the difference… However , before my 13 Pro I had a space grey iPhone X which for one year straight,I used caseless…Countless drops later,and not a single crack,but there are a considerable amount of scratches on the front and back glass,and the anodised stainless steel sides were dinged up so bad(the scratches on the silver iPhone X SS sides were removable but there was a coating on the space grey which made scratches permanent.)
I bought the silver and definitely don’t regret it! My reason: my mom got the blue and I didn’t want to match, I’ve had gold before and wanted a change, and the graphite is a just too dark for me.

I ordered the Pro Max in silver. Clean look, draws less sunlight when outside or if it’s in my windshield being used for navigation. Plus it’s easier to find in the dark. I can never find a black phone. I also think the silver will look great with cases with bold colors. Great color review! It helped me confirm that I made the right choice for me! 👍💯
@@sammymagele5738 This seems to vary based on each user. For me, I don’t have any issues at all with the silver scratching. I always use a clear case. From what I hear, if the silver model does get scratches, they can be buffed out pretty easily.
I absolutely love the blue, but I chose the silver for the exact reason that you said. Fun colors & transparent colored cases look best on the white/silver combo. & I love changing cases to fit my mood. My last phone, the Xs max was also silver, when everyone else was going crazy over the gold. I didn’t pick it because my phone before it (6S+) was gold & I used it for 3 years & was ready for a change & didn’t always like the way it looked in certain color cases.
The Sierra Blue has really grown on me. I loved the blue and green the past two years but this one didn’t stand out at first. It does remind me of the blue on the Ipad Air that sometimes looks silver and not blue.

It isn’t just the blue that is “dull”, they ALL are and always have been on the Pro. Didn’t like the new blue at first but now compared to the Pacific it looks better to me :) … and the graphite (aka space grey) has been around since the dawn of time and is cool but super boring.

it is a grower. I find the pacific blue too mainstream, a lot of people went for it but for me it is more interesting to have a look at the Sierra Blue and see different colours each time and with different lighting. It’s not for everyone 💁🏻♂️
Well most people wear cases anyway. I am not sure if I want gold or silver… so I’ll take the first one that they will have(looks like a month of waiting…). I have 11 Pro Max in Gold. It looks amazing… but I don’t have any clear cases anymore(they turn a bit yeľow after some time.. most of them). But I get it, some people like to show off the colour of whatever. That was just my opinion.
I chose the gold 13 pro. Since I have the space grey iPad pro, previously had the silver 11 pro max, and the sierra blue was beautiful on the commercials but this video showed me that they oversold it on the color which made me choose gold.
Blue is just hype. All psychological marketing thats why people are hyping about it. Still would be my third choice but not out of this world. Gold for me. Like holding a bar of gold. Very luxurious and elegant. They nailed the gold last year. They perfected this year.
Glad you found your colour. I actually got the Pro Max in Sierra blue. It has a hue of grey in it, which looks real nice in person. The colour will change slightly in different lighting conditions, though.
The Gold is too blingy for me.If I was upgrading I would go for Graphite.I have the Graphite 12 Pro Max and love it.I do like the Silver but the stainless steel frame is prone to scratching just by putting on and removing cases.The coloured ones are more durable due to the coating.Not a fan of the Sierra Blue at all.
An excellent demonstration of the different colours available, which can't even be seen in some (carrier's) stores; either because they only have one colour on display or they have the phones stuck down so that you can't see the back. I particularly appreciated the amount of time spent showing comparisons of the phones' edges. Personally I wouid have preferred for Apple to have given the Pro edges a satin finish this year, as the shiny metal doesn't really look all that premium and it can only be a negative in my view i.e. a fingerprint and scratch magnet. Anyway, thanks Daniel. BTW, I was half-tempted by the blue but I think the graphite is probably the safest bet in the long term. Gimme Space Grey any day though!
I am mixed between the Sierra Blue and the Graphite. I think the Gold is too bland for me this year - I really like the idea of bright gold on phones such as the stuff that Samsung does. The Silver to me is just too bright, I think the white colour this year is making the phone shine a little too much; but it is a REALLY clean colour still. And now this is where I am stuck... the Sierra Blue looks so clean but the problem for me is that it won't match a lot of cases. The Graphite reminds me of something nice and clean that just fits so many different styles that I could transition between with my phone so I am more drifting towards the Graphite as my favourite because I love the Matte look on the back of the phone and how it will fit so many different colour palettes on cases. Graphite is the one for me this year.

Blue is the best. It’s way better than last years Blue. It reminds me of the Pixel 2 “kinda blue” in that it has a grey hue every now and then. Graphite is just sleek. It’s the most safe choice. Silver is also really nice but the sides look tacky to me. It looks like that shitty chrome you see on shitty vehicle mods. Gold is the worst to me. I’ve never liked Gold on phones. The back of the phone + the shiny sides, it looks so luxurious & clean! The blue also looks fine to me, but it's more like a business-casual color rather than an everyday-color to me... Also, someone told me that when you put the gold one under the sunshine, the back side will reflect and give out a very gradient gold color (and yessss, it looks even better!!!) The blue is different enough to look new , and mild enough to work in a professional environment, that’s probably why they made it that way , not too flashy .
Silver is underrated! I feel it's going to go well with most cases and looks cleaner when you have a clear case. I'm sad that stores in my country doesnt carry a lot of silver so I need to wait longer

I especially appreciate your showing and commenting on the colors of the sides (the stanless steel part) of the phones! I decided to get the Silver because its stanless steel part is not shaded or darkened to the color of the phone. I think that would best serve my needs for the side buttons. Thank you!
I think ultimately the graphite is the most timeless. I would’ve picked the gold for my own preference, but I ended up choosing the Sierra blue because it was available sooner. I like all the colours though. They’re all fine to my eye. I’d be happy with any of em.

I’ve always been a graphite/space grey person. All 4 of the phones I’ve owned so far have been that color. For this iPhone model my mom and sister own the Sierra blue that I helped pick for them at the Verizon store because I, myself, loved the color the most. I still think it’s the most stunning color for iPhones I’ve seen, yet I don’t want to match with my two family members. Then again it doesn’t matter because we’re all gonna have cases on it anyways. I’m also tempted to get the gold one which is interesting because in prior years I’ve hated how bold and too “gold” looking that color was. Now I think it’s so nice and almost like a beige or cream color as opposed to a gold. Def stuck between that and Sierra blue

The sierra blue looks really good, got the sierra blue, the color shifts depending on lighting, it shifts from grey to baby blue to silver depending on lighting, instead of the flat color on the silver, gold and graphite.

Regarding your question to the end: I’m normally a fan of special colors (I have the midnight green currently) but Blue doesn’t really look too special to me so I’ll go with classic grey again.
I have the graphite 12 pro max and I quickly grew out of it. I'm a apple sheep but I gotta say that the black form the s21 ultra looks amazing!! The graphite is a bit too light for my taste.

Yeah, I reckon it should have had a nor grey hue or something but it look like frosty ice. And the cameras look alienated because of it.
Yes, the white looks very cheap to me. It’s too bright! Too much contrast with the black camera so I got the Gold Pro Max. It looks straight up money! It’s like a piece of jewelry & works with lots of case colors somehow, especially maroon red or burgundy case.
I am struggling to choose between gold and graphite... I think that although the silver and sierra blue are both very clean, the gold and graphite bring something more. Gold seems very luxurious while graphite is incredibly sleek.. Such a difficult decision! My gut says gold...

Worth mentioning that the gold is coated differently to the other colours. It is more scratch resistant. I can confirm this.
I’ve had the Sierra Blue for a few months and sold it for 90% of what I paid and picked up the Graphite Color instead, definitely don’t regret it, the Sierra Blue looked too silver a lot of times for me and having the Graphite it definitely looks better for me.
The blue looks cool, it changes from blue, grey, silver, white based on the light reflection. That's a good thing on my book atleast.

Thanks for making this video, as someone said earlier, please do one like this every year. Sierra Blue looks great, but I think to take advantage of this color, you need to use a clear case. Graphite was my first choice, but I was tossing up between blue and graphite. I plan to get a few cases so I think the Graphite is probably the color I'm gonna go for. Clear case, UAG, leather case, that dark camera look just works all around. And I know after a few months, if I get the blue, I'll end up wrapping it for a different look. I didn't care what color my Pro Max was. Told the clerk surprise me. Color is a complete non issue for me. Ended up with Sierra Blue. Put a screen protector, back protector on and tossed it in a Spigen Tough Armor case.
I care what the phone looks like, tossed it in the see through plastic case. Sierra blue is a really nice colour, looks great in person.

This is honestly the best iPhone comparison video I have ever watched. It was so helpful seeing all the different colours in each type of lighting. I have been torn between the Gold and Sierra Blue. I think the Gold is super classy, but I had the 12 Pro in that color. The Sierra Blue is just so gorgeous and finally a color that isn't masculine like the previous 2 were. I went for the gold one because although I wasn't a fan of the colour in Apple's marketing, in video reviews it's much more of a light gold and I took a bit of a gamble on that, it's supposed to arrive in a week and I am super excited!

The Gold and Silver are so clean. Defo the best 2. The edges on the gold and silver are so clean but I think gold wins that. Everyone is gonna have the blue and while I do often love the colorful options more its not that different from silver in a way. I got the gold because its kind of sleek and flashy but also subtle and you can rock it careless as well. it also happened to be the only one in the store 😂 Ive always loved the Gold iPhones and wanted to get one and this is my first one.

Stainless steel sides are very prone to scratches though.

However , before my 13 Pro I had a space grey iPhone X which for one year straight,I used caseless…Countless drops later,and not a single crack,but there are a considerable amount of scratches on the front and back glass,and the anodised stainless steel sides were dinged up so bad(the scratches on the silver iPhone X SS sides were removable but there was a coating on the space grey which made scratches permanent.)
Got the 13 pro in sierra blue! Even though I’m more of a gold person, the blue is very pastel looking, but more muted! Deffo recommend :)

I ordered the Pro Max in silver. Clean look, draws less sunlight when outside or if it’s in my windshield being used for navigation. Plus it’s easier to find in the dark. I can never find a black phone. I also think the silver will look great with cases with bold colors. Great color review! It helped me confirm that I made the right choice for me! 👍💯

From what I hear, if the silver model does get scratches, they can be buffed out pretty easily.
I absolutely love the blue, but I chose the silver for the exact reason that you said. Fun colors & transparent colored cases look best on the white/silver combo. & I love changing cases to fit my mood. My last phone, the Xs max was also silver, when everyone else was going crazy over the gold. I didn’t pick it because my phone before it (6S+) was gold & I used it for 3 years & was ready for a change & didn’t always like the way it looked in certain color cases.

The Sierra Blue has really grown on me. I loved the blue and green the past two years but this one didn’t stand out at first. It does remind me of the blue on the Ipad Air that sometimes looks silver and not blue.

It isn’t just the blue that is “dull”, they ALL are and always have been on the Pro. Didn’t like the new blue at first but now compared to the Pacific it looks better to me :) … and the graphite (aka space grey) has been around since the dawn of time and is cool but super boring.

it is a grower. I find the pacific blue too mainstream, a lot of people went for it but for me it is more interesting to have a look at the Sierra Blue and see different colours each time and with different lighting. It’s not for everyone 💁🏻♂️
Well most people wear cases anyway. I am not sure if I want gold or silver… so I’ll take the first one that they will have(looks like a month of waiting…). I have 11 Pro Max in Gold. It looks amazing… but I don’t have any clear cases anymore(they turn a bit yeľow after some time.. most of them).
But I get it, some people like to show off the colour of whatever. That was just my opinion.

Blue is just hype. All psychological marketing thats why people are hyping about it. Still would be my third choice but not out of this world. Gold for me. Like holding a bar of gold. Very luxurious and elegant. They nailed the gold last year. They perfected this year.

An excellent demonstration of the different colours available, which can't even be seen in some (carrier's) stores; either because they only have one colour on display or they have the phones stuck down so that you can't see the back. I particularly appreciated the amount of time spent showing comparisons of the phones' edges. Personally I wouid have preferred for Apple to have given the Pro edges a satin finish this year, as the shiny metal doesn't really look all that premium and it can only be a negative in my view i.e. a fingerprint and scratch magnet. Anyway, thanks Daniel. BTW, I was half-tempted by the blue but I think the graphite is probably the safest bet in the long term. Gimme Space Grey any day though!

I am mixed between the Sierra Blue and the Graphite. I think the Gold is too bland for me this year - I really like the idea of bright gold on phones such as the stuff that Samsung does. The Silver to me is just too bright, I think the white colour this year is making the phone shine a little too much; but it is a REALLY clean colour still.
And now this is where I am stuck... the Sierra Blue looks so clean but the problem for me is that it won't match a lot of cases. The Graphite reminds me of something nice and clean that just fits so many different styles that I could transition between with my phone so I am more drifting towards the Graphite as my favourite because I love the Matte look on the back of the phone and how it will fit so many different colour palettes on cases. Graphite is the one for me this year.

Went to an Apple store yesterday and really took some time to look at the blue and the gold, and that gold just keeps growing on me. The back of the phone + the shiny sides, it looks so luxurious & clean! The blue also looks fine to me, but it's more like a business-casual color rather than an everyday-color to me...
Also, someone told me that when you put the gold one under the sunshine, the back side will reflect and give out a very gradient gold color (and yessss, it looks even better!!!)

I think ultimately the graphite is the most timeless. I would’ve picked the gold for my own preference, but I ended up choosing the Sierra blue because it was available sooner. I like all the colours though. They’re all fine to my eye. I’d be happy with any of em.

I’ve always been a graphite/space grey person. All 4 of the phones I’ve owned so far have been that color. For this iPhone model my mom and sister own the Sierra blue that I helped pick for them at the Verizon store because I, myself, loved the color the most. I still think it’s the most stunning color for iPhones I’ve seen, yet I don’t want to match with my two family members. Then again it doesn’t matter because we’re all gonna have cases on it anyways. I’m also tempted to get the gold one which is interesting because in prior years I’ve hated how bold and too “gold” looking that color was. Now I think it’s so nice and almost like a beige or cream color as opposed to a gold. Def stuck between that and Sierra blue

The sierra blue looks really good, got the sierra blue, the color shifts depending on lighting, it shifts from grey to baby blue to silver depending on lighting, instead of the flat color on the silver, gold and graphite.
