Finally somebody who knows what they’re doing with comparisons. This video is highly needed. Really goes to show that Apple just did software adjustments rather than mess with the camera hardware (aside from the extra zoom lens). Thank you man. Video came out perfecto! Saved many of us thousands!

There’s literally very little difference between the 13 and 15 pro max, except the 5x optical vs 3x optical and 2nd gen sensor shift stabilisation.

The 13 pro max is the best iPhone ever made. I hardly see any difference compared to the newer models. In addition, the battery of the 13 is much better than that of the 14 and 15. Unless you find dynamic island and the action button valuable, I see no reason to upgrade
I find the noch beeing not so in the screen as the dynamic island. Basically now that island is more intrusive in the screen than the noch. So no thank you

Great test. I have seen other tests and to me, I liked the 13pro pictures the best. A little more warm and natural pictures to me.

Thanks so much for comparing three gens side by side. Then I am settled to iphone 13 pro, just purchased a iphone 13 pro and wondering if any need to upgrade to newer gen. Seems 13 pro is excellent for me, no need for action mode or some fancy functions.

I was tempted to go 15 PM but as I am watching these comparisons, more and more I am wondering if it’s really worth it.
@@Tsepzwait until thermal and throttling issues are sorted by Apple on the 15PM before even thinking about one.
Upgraded to a 15PM but only because my 13PM starting failing out of warranty. Would have been more than happy keeping it going for a couple more years, we're at the zenith of a "law of diminishing returns" curve right now with iPhones, or most flagships for that matter.
9 times out of 10, I cannot see any notable difference in photo quality with the 15PM over the 13PM.
I will say that night mode is improved (but I believe that happened with the sensor upgrade in the 14PM) and the 5X zoom is fantastic for outdoor shots and capturing animals at a distance.

I just upgraded from an iPhone 8 Plus to a refurbished iPhone 13 Pro the other day. So I have been watching A LOT of tutorial videos... this one is the first I found that was helpful the entire way through! I have been trying to decide if the camera was messed up or not (since it isn't new)... this helped show me what the main cameras are supposed to look on the 13 Pro, thank you! I am wondering if you have anything that shows more examples of the 10x-15x zooms/how to utilize the 13Pro to get closer detail shots?

I shoot a lot of video reviews on computer and flight simulator hardware and pretty much stopped using my R7 camera, and started shooting with the iPhone 13 Pro when it first launched, now I have the iPhone 15 pro and love it. Very little setup is needed plus the camera has great video quality, with a good microphone and a little editing in post I have a video on TH-cam that I am satisfied with. Thank you for your content.

On portrait (1.21min mark), I felt the 13 pro did a better job. Whereas the 14 and the 15 especially, gives the impression as of you've suffered a sun burn. 😬 And yes, would love to see a comparison between the 15 pro and the Sony Xperia 1 V.

I know this video is a little old but thank you so much for being real with your review. Most reviewers talk about the smallest difference in hdr or grain in photos and make it sound like a 1 or 2 year old phone is just the worst but you really let people know that it’s really not that much difference. I will keep my iPhone 13 Pro for a little longer.

I picked myself up a 15 pro in the blue titanium and it’s amazing. Zoom is just unmatched, but probably not needed for everyday use

I found an issue with the iPhone 15 pros front camera on launch day compared to my 13. Pics after processing got darker and grainy nothing close to what you see is what you get like on the 13. seen Apple forums and Reddit people also saw this issue. have you? Has it been fixed?
Appreciate this comparison. Keeping my 13 Pro. I may switch to one of the new Android flagships for 2024 or hold to see if iPhone pro (non-max) gets the 5x zoom next year.
Thanks for this comparison video. Without shooting in Pro Res Log, the 15 Pro video looks identical to my 13 Pro. Guess I'll be keeping mine for another year.

Finally a unbiased and honest review. I am still very happy with my 13PM and feel no need to upgrade anytime soon. I am also a huge photography fan and since I am saving up for a proper supertele lens (used ~7k) for bird photography, I need to make sure not to waste my money on marginal upgrades in other places.

I’m keeping my 13 pro max for at least 2 more years. The slight differences in camera, ram, battery, and processing speeds aren’t worth upgrading. Plus the sierra blue is still my favorite color they’ve ever released.
Much rather have the 13 pro max. The new 5x lens means that when you are using anything less than that 5X lens, it is all cropped 1X! And the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a much better (warmer?) color profile. Why isn't the team at Apple pushing the envelope?

The lens flare is what is stopping me from upgrading they should have that figured out I never had that issue on my old iPhones.
Indeed. It is still too intrusive on the 15 Pro Max. The very first camera reviews of the device were shouting from the rooftops how this had been fixed at last. Anyone who ordered the device on the basis of these incorrect reviews was simply misled. As every other review since has shown.

the 15 pro max really shines compared to 15 pro when it's at 5x zoom, since the digital zoom is the same on both. So when you compare a shot on pro max in 5x vs pro in 3x and post zoom.

Im pretty sure they have already designed the iPhone 18. They give small but big enough updates to want to update but in reality there isn't much difference. I wanted to upgrade to 15 pro too but i see no much of a difference in 14 and 15 so Im gonna be sticking with my 13pro only perhaps i might consider to upgrade later 3-4 years when its gonna be lighter like the 10XS or10 cause this phone weigh a lot to hold when you’re watching video on your phone while laying on a bed

I'm from xs max it's still healthy 92% batt health for 4 yrs already. (Wanted upgrade for memory and camera improvements). I wanted 15 but maybe should I wait to 16 right? or should I get 14 instead but kind of behind? Thoughts?

Just upgraded my 12 to a 14 pro max. I got a good deal as compared to a 15 pro max. Nothing really wrong with the 12’s camera but I am enjoying both the raw 48mp and the portrait/telephoto. Very impressed with a night shot I took yesterday and this is from one who uses “real😅” cameras.

Apple is making a huge mistake by upping the rate if the pro and marketing it as the 5x for the new rate
1:01 came from the pixel. I hate how you need to manually switch cameras with 0.5x when using macro shot. Pixel switched flawlessly

I don't actually like the camera on any of them. All the images and videos suffer from an overload of A. I. processing with way too much sharpening, contrast and colour intensity. These phones will never replace dedicated cameras or even 4K camcorders from 8 years ago, and I wouldn't even pay £200 for such substandard performance! 😂
thats why im thinking to keep my 13 for as long as updates are rolled out and invest in a mirrorless
