I just got this car yesterday without doing prior research. Just wanted something cheap and ready to go. Was looking up reviews for this car and was pleasantly surprised by your content. Very informative but still very light hearted and humorous. I get bored easily with other TH-camrs but I like your delivery and humor. For sure a fan of the tall boy test. Keep it up!
I’m driving one of these as a rental while my 2016 civic ex-t is in the bodyshop and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and pleasant to drive this car is back and forth to work
For anyone watching this review on 1/1/22 we bought our 15 soon to be 16 year old daughter a new 2022 Sentra SV. Why new, because used vehicles today are more expensive. Originally she wanted a Honda Civic of the 2019 body style because she doesn’t like the new body style but then she changed to the Sentra. I drive a 2020 Chevy Silverado Z-71 RST with a 5.3 8 liter engine which I love and my wife drives a 2022 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige 2.5t. I say all that to say this. When we went to drive the Sentra I did not expect much but man was I surprised. Surprised with the drive and features. It is a fun car to drive for what it is. Only thing don’t like is it came with all these features and no driver power seat. I disagree with the reviewer I think looks great inside and out. It should give her a lot of years of reliability and fun. Oh and for what the engine is it has very good pick up and go. It is not the Silverado, although it has some more features than my Silverado, nor is it the GV70 which has a LOT of features but it also cost way less than either of those and like I said I have a blast driving it. I am glad she decided on the Sentra instead of the Civic.

Nissan deserves to make a great comeback if they can also bring back their pre 2000 reputation for reliability and durability. Those days their cars were bullet proof in terns of longevity.
Hey brother! I’m not interested in the car but I’m always going to watch whatever content you create because you reply to messages and I like what you have to say. You are entertaining, cool, smart and I like you! Thanks for taking the time to bring this Sentra to us man! Nissan is heading in a good direction for the most part!!! I thought I heard you mention a city out there once. I live in Texas. Take care and see you on the next ride!
I have to recognize and applaud Nissan for trying with this ride. Imo Nissan did try and put effort into making this economy centric small car appealing visually and practical and it has some personality. If I was a really young dude like 17 or 18 and working part time and struggling with cash I would not be miserable in life if I had to drive one of these. The thing that kills the vibe is that is so painfully slow as you mentioned. Maybe Nissan will give some better engine option but I won’t hold my breathe as it’s mission is to be affordable and hit 40 mpg or so. If someone wants speed then get a maxima or Beamer. This car would cost another $6000 if it had a faster engine.
This was my loaner when my car was in the shop earlier this week and I did not want to give it back. It was way too much fun to drive 🙏🏻 but to be fair my daily commute roundtrip is 40 miles so I’m in my car longer than some people. I own a 2014 cruze so this was quite an upgrade for not a ton of money. Will definitely be my next car!
Picking up my 21 sentra sv in a few days. Got it in gun metallic and some standard options. I'll throw more at it overtime, but Going from the 2020 versa to the 2021 sentra is a major difference. Yes, versa is the entry level car for nissan, but even the sr lacks that little bit of extra that the sentra comes with even in the base trim. For just a couple thousand more, you get the same fuel economy, better standard options, more room, more power, the list goes on and on. I was debating on moving up to the sentra, finally test drove one and immediately decided to get one. I'm really excited to move up from the versa, as much as a great little car it's been.
Happy to hear that brotha! Nissan is great at making economy vehicles, that's forsure, but the Sentra is a sizable upgrade from the Versa as you mentioned - and for not a whole lot more money! Enjoy 😎👍
I just picked one up 7 weeks ago.. SR trim is the way to go with Premium package. Mine was $25,600 Gunmetal with 18" black alloy wheels... it's gorgeous
I get lots of compliments on the wheels and color. Sadly, yes I have a big big issue. At 2,400 miles the car began leaking fluid on the driveway.. I got it over to service and I was informed it was transmission fluid. They had to get into the transmission to find the problem which ended up being a seal on the torque converter that wasn't seated properly during JATCO assembly. With the heat and humidity in my part of the states it stretched which was causing the fluid seepage making my level low. The next step was removing removing the trans from the car to replace the seal. The tech comes to find a crack in the transmission case! So now after just making my second payment, the car has been at the dealership awaiting ETA for the new trans to come in. Since the current is out and the new has to go in.. should only take a day. They put me in a loaner car through Enterprise and keeping my cool. It's a rare one off and it's JATCOs fault since the engine, powertrain and Trans already come married to the chassis and sealed when the cars arrive at Nissan for assembly. Just praying its not a lemon car 🙏.
@@dddes2328 the premium by far is so enjoyable. The zero gravity seats, the bose, sunroof are the best parts. The SR gives you a more aggressive look, black wheels and different head lights. If your willing to spend an extra 3k I would recommend it. Get the extended warranty. Too many bells, whistles, cameras and sensors to go wrong after 3 yrs or 36,000 miles.
@@Marty2978b Hopefully the transmission fluid issue is the only issue you have. I mean you shouldn't be having an issue like that especially in a new car. Good thing you are still under warranty. I have been debating on getting the Versa SR or the Sentra SR Premium. In my opinion, both seem like good cars, have good gas mileage, and seem to look very nice overall. Used to have an 09 Altima SL. It was great car, as it never gave me any major issues, only your typical wear and tear or maintenance. However, even though gas in a Altima tends to last you a while, it's still a bit high when you fill up, especially with the current and higher gas prices. Don't have the Altima anymore, due to other unrelated reasons, but was debating on if I should another one again, but I don't think so with these gas prices. I think I will probably settle with a Versa SR or a Sentra SR premium instead, unless I read any more major issues on it such as CVT (which Nissan seems to have finally corrected). I will probably end of choosing the Sentra SR premium instead of the Versa SR, since its more similar to the Altima in many aspects and also more cheaper price and gas use wise.
If I do get a Sentra, I am debating on if I should get the the SV with the premium package or the SR with the premium package. Are there any differences among the two (e.g. price, options, and etc), and which would be a better buy?
If you can swing the $1k-ish difference in price I'd opt for the SR just for the blacked out chrome, 2" larger wheels, and most notably the LED headlights... all of that will help make the car look and feel more premium for not a whole lot more money!
This car look so nice for the money...I looked at a cadillac last year that only had blind spot monitoring as a safety feature. I had to pay $60,000 on an XT5 to get adaptive cruise control...I didn't buy. 🤔
