Fun fact: Patroka's voice actress, Laila Pyne, also voices Herald and Agate. While I've seen criticism of her performance as Patroka, I rarely see anyone speaking ill of Herald and Agate's vocal performances, and more often see people who like them! Let it be known that her less-than-stellar performance as Patroka is not standard for Laila Pyne, and she voices other characters in XC2 very well! (Also, Patroka is perfecly fine in the heart-to-hearts in my opinion, and it's really just the main story cutscenes where she's not amazing. Which are, of course, the most prominent appearance of Patroka, but. Whatever. I personally think that there were just weird directing choices made for Patroka in the main story cutscenes, and that's the reason for her weird performance- especially since Laila Pyne also voices characters from other games that I love, like Xayah from League of Legends!)
Yeah, iirc they did a blazing fast run of the voice acting for the game to get it out on time and the whole game had pretty mediocre voice direction imo. I think they had more time to refine stuff for ng+ and torna though which is why the voice acting in that content seems better
Agate seems to be her best character.
Voice acting aside, I wish this game would let you view Heart-to-Hearts in Scenario Events like every other AV clip. 😕 They have some of the cutest and most touching moments, such a waste.

Honestly, one thing I don't like about Torna is that Mikhail, Akhos and Patroka (especially these two) spend the entire game being Team Rocket and when they finally explain their backstory they are about to die.
Let’s just appreciate the end of a great series
Patroka is a fantastic blade, bit what I want to know is why the heck her core chip is so much better than the other Torna blades. A lot of blades would kill for a core chip like that.
"Anything weak to Earth element will get absolutely destroyed by Patroka" This includes her brother by the way. In _both_ fights.
Illusory Bloom is her best Special because she slaps the opponent which actually does damage.
Well, here we are. The end of an era. And what a high note to end on. A word I've used to describe most of the Torna blades is reliable, and I feel that word describes Patroka more than any other. Her damage output is nuts with no bad skills and a great weapon type for damage. She's pretty much a better Adenine and that's absolutely beautiful. Character wise I think Emile best described how I feel about her. Not good.
Since we're at the end I feel like listing my three favourite and least favourite blades in descending order of how much I like them:
Favourites: Sever, Cressidus, Theory
Least favourites: Newt, Electra, Godfrey

I was so confused at the begining. I genuinely thought Chugga had made some kind of parody about your guides and had to double check which channel this video was uploaded to xD
I think the best thing about this series was that Enel can just easily turn any character into a sss tier blade
I like to imagine the thought process in conceptualising Patroka's character went something like this:
"Uh oh, looks like Nomura-san accidentally gave us some concept art of a scrapped costume variant for FFVII Remakes' Tifa."
"This again?! I can understand the guy's being pulled in all sorts of directions at the moment, but he already presented us with the Cloud x Sephiroth hybrid-clone concept that is Jin."
"Well, if this Patroka is gonna be another Square Enix reference, we might as well make her personality similar to a character from a different IP that Squeenie has published..."
"In that case, how about this Kainé chic from the niche title Nier?
We might have to tone down the profanities a bit, but **shrugs**"
One of the very few characters able to remove Dagas from the party and compensate for it. She really hits hard.

Awesome guides, man. More people are starting to play XC2 because of Smash, so I’m glad these guides are here to provide them with proper tutorials since the game didn’t really seem to get the memo to have them itself. These deserve more views!
I was one of those lol. I actually got Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna: The Golden Country and all other dlc's last summer for my birthday, but didn't touch it till Pyra/Mythra got announced for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I finished the story before Monster Hunter: Rise came out, and plan to 100% when I'm done with Monster Hunter: Rise. 😁

If anyone is in trouble with Elma: Redux, try Corvin on Mòrag and KOS-MOS on Zeke, with both ether modifier blades, and Rex with Mythra and Patroka, that equals victory assured.

Did not expect to see chuggaaconroy collab on this finale! That was a surprise. This series was excellent, you did a great job on these videos. I forget if you got asked, but are you planning on re-doing any Torna guides? I've noticed compared to the main game Torna seems not focused on as much.
idk why everyone saying this is the final Blade Guide, Enel hasn't even gotten to making guides on all the possible Common Blades in the game.

Now that this is the end... I need to say something... The core chip from the titan superboss is actually the best core chip for every blade because it gives each blade their original weapon

Last episode? Sad to see this go. This is by far my favourite series on this channel! I hope you’ll do some walkthroughs on some challenges (if there aren’t any already???) and some basic “sets” you can use.

This was a fantastic series to watch! I learned a lot about the combat. Random thought that popped into my head watching this, but what if you could switch to your other party members mid battle? I think that’s be pretty awesome.

I can’t believe people actual dislike her voice acting. It’s literally PERFECT. I love that valley girl tsundere thing she’s got going on, and her interactions with Mikail crack me UP.
I like how xenoblade 1 and 2 both have such broken strategies that it’s not that hard to defeat some of the hardest enemies in both games at level 1.
sad to see this at an end, I guess the question is what awaits us now

I love Patrokas design, her concept as a character, her playstyle, her place in the the plot, but oof her english voice is so poorly directed its almost painful. Its not that her english VA isnt good, because her VA did other voices in this game that were GREAT, but every Patroka line in the main game sounds like the VA has no context whatsoever. I just wanna know what happened to make the random npc lines have more care put into them than the *major story cutscenes* . The angry tone she uses in contrast to the JPN VA is fine, and I even kinda like it, but with the poor directing job going on, it makes it just unimaginably grating sometimes to the point that its the weirdest bad voice direction choice in the whole game.
I really do like nonstandard VA jobs and weird tone is a part of it, but Patroka and Mikhail have the WORST VA work in the game on technicals alone and it goes beyond a interesting and unique voice quirk and into 'bad enough to break immersion' because its clearly not on purpose.
Its just... bad. Pretty much every part of the english dub is as good or better than the jpn imo, *except* for Obrona, Patroka, and Mikhail and it makes it hard to enjoy them because of how hard they drag down the english VA.
Shes fun and cool though. Stabby spear cool, big number good.

Now that the Blade Guides are complete, I wonder if there is going to be a revised blade tier list will be happening soon.
The process of making those videos seems to be quite a nice learning experience on how lesser-used blades fare in higher level settings. There was also a few (significant) things that were discovered in the making of those videos (Cressidus' lvl 4 topple stack shenanigans, Newt's mistranslated skill, etc.).
Either way, this video series was quite a fun ride. Keep it up!

Thank you so much for this series. I got this game when it first game out and never played it until recently. Your guides have been thoroughly watched and enjoyed and were very informative (Poor Nia. No blade is best on her)

Patroka is complicated. She has the same english voice as Agate and Herald, but her deliveries just seem off... Tsunderes are already a complicated personality, but I think of all the blades, she’s the only one who’s personality I’m not a fan of, but I still use in battle from time-to-time.
I think it’s more of a voice directing problem. Through out the game there’s bad deliveries, but I wouldn’t say any of the actors are bad. But that’s my take on it

She is the *last* blade I need. I have been working day and night to boost Nia’s compassion. I have used compassion boosters. I have used all of this, PLUS legendary core crystals. I hate her for this, but I know as soon as I get her, I will be jumping for joy.

Well I wasn’t expecting Emile here. That is great, been following him since like 2009. He lasted my whole school life from elementary through high school love him to death.
I think now that the blade guide series is done, it might be cool to see guides on each level in challenge mode. I think learning the speed strats or just general guides on how to beat each level in bringer of chaos would be super cool to see.
This has been a really great series to watch! I’m sure you’ve got ideas for where to go next, but one thing I think would be cool/useful as a “guide” would maybe be videos on optimal team setups for challenge mode missions or specific areas of combat?
This was not a cross-over I was expecting, but I absolutely love it!

I did not expect Chuggaaconroy to be in this video, I was pleasantly surprised by that. I did not find Patroka's character, though her toolset is great, especially Fatal Blow and Swallow's Flight. If I were to improve her in any way, Great Garland would gain an additional 2 hits to make it more useful.

I reckon using a team of Poppi QT Pi with the Light Element + Patroka + Adenine could kill Ophion on BoC really quickly.

What bothers me about Patroka’s voice acting is that her VA could have done so much better. She also plays Agate, and even if Agate’s voice acting isn’t excellent, it’s better than Patroka’s for sure. It’s a shame that the optional Blade has better voice acting than one of the main villains. oh and also hello Chuggaaconroy and congrats on finishing the Blade guides Enel!
Her japanese voice is really good IMO and a perfect fit for her. A shame she sounds so awkward in english.
