#splatoon3 #callouts #shotcaller - บันเทิง
this is what i love about competitive splatoon and is why im trying to get into it. the strategy and coordination involved is incredible.
This is why we need more robust callouts than just "This way!" and "Booyah!" on the D-Pad, Booyah is just a general encouragment/praise button, and This Way could mean 10 different things depending on the context, I don't know why we can't add like a "Help!" or "Push!" button or something, anything to make soloQ communication easier.
adding both would make solo q infinitely better
Are you in my team's walls...? We decide to dedicate a practice session to movement, swimming and being evasive and then you put out the movement video THE DAY AFTER, we have an intervention about the negative self talk and the very next day BOOM THE SELF TALK VIDEO, and last night we were focusing entirely on figuring out how to shot call and take fights together... and wow convenient new squid school video! GET OUT OF OUR WALLS I KNOW YOURE IN THERE /lh (real talk this is so extremely helpful thank you)
its always interesting how theres a balance to be had between team fighting 3v3s, solo fighting 1v1s, and like "multiple solo fight" 1+1v3s, where all have their moments they should be taken and moments you should very much avoid them

AXOLOTL REPRESENT!!!!!!!!!
Are you Axolotl?
this was a really detailed and well made analysis that shows that even though it was only about 20-30 seconds long of an engagement, what you do in that time can really strongly affect the games scenario and how the rest of the match will play out
Im with you! I always play a support role since I play with randoms, but this is why Splatoon is the best and funnest shooer 💪🏻🙌🏻
what an excellent lesson. gem when you break down concepts like this with such strong examples, this is really squid school at its best. i dont even play splatoon all that much anymore but i still consistently watch your content because i just love seeing how you explain esport concepts (and how you relate them to the wider world beyond the hobby!!!!)
i wish my team lived by this, they always ignore all my calls, i die, then they tell me that it was unwinnable because some 1v1 meta matchup on the weapon mains involved alone or that "no one was there to help" when everyone else was within 3 feet of me at the time of engagement, then we lose and i get blamed for dying, forcing me to change up gear or strat bettter suited for playing solo queues alone while in VC on the same match with them. it infuriates me to no end
It's great hearing your thought process.
Phenomenal, gonna keep this in mind
There's audio of someone talking vv quietly in the background,,
Subliminal messaging?? O.o
Really helpful video! Keep the situational awareness and strategic thinking videos coming, I need to work on these skills
P.S., your voiceover has been extra quiet the last few videos, I would be grateful if you would bump the volume a little bit! ♥
Hey gem, thank you for the informative videos! I wanted to ask if you could maybe explain on how to find out what your weakest link is. In other games I usually don't struggle with figuring out a weak link you need to train on but in Splatoon I do, thank you!
You should link or embed the video on team coordination that you mentioned so that viewers don't have to search your channel for it.
Is it not showing up in the upper right hand corner right at that moment in the video?
Sorry, I did not notice that until you pointed it out here because I was focussing on the action and that thing is really tiny on a large 4k monitor when the video is watched on web TH-cam. Ironically, it is larger on a phone screen, but making that a bit bigger next time might make it more obvious, or alternatively explicitely referring to its position on the screen in your voiceover would be helpful.
Also thanks for putting it in the video descripition along with the link to the document. I checked the video description first expecting it to be there before making my initial comment.
Where is the video on team coordination?
There should have been a link in the upper right, but you're not the first person who's asked so I also just linked it in the description
Omg that oak player must be terrible. Embarassing!!!
(I'm sorry oak ily don't kill me

i'll use my shot calling skills on a game that doesn't use mics
That's what Discord is for
this is literally a channel about co-ordinated competitive splatoon, not solo queue
first
Nice, I'm rather envious of you. I have always wanted to be the first to view a video first and comment "first" immediately because that is honestly the coolest thing in the world. Hold your position with awe and appreciation, my friend. You're going places.
