#splatoon3 #positioning #decision - บันเทิง
I stand in solidarity with my fellow splatling players. If you see a heavily armed squid child with a minigun, please do not stand in front of the bullets, they are not for you, they are for the person shooting you.
In other words, don’t touch Sasha.
@@1ogic948 WHO TOUCHED MY GUN
Please. Yes. I've been stating this since Splatoon 2 :)
YES
The shots feel good on my back tho, like a massage
There is nothing more frustrating for me as a splatling player than getting all my shots blocked by my teammate in front of me, him failing to splat the other guy and then both of us get splatted in quick succession by the other guy because I'm having to get charged again.
I try to enter squid form if I for some stupid reason go in front of others, or try to move to the side. I got allies for a reason in my team, might as well allow them to actually be useful.
How do you know your teammate is a "him"?

Squid School is my favorite life advice channel
It’s the only one I watch
Mine is the Rogue English Teacher
This video should be internationally broadcasted 24/7 in the minds of every single Splatoon player.
The struggle of being an hydra and having all of my shots blocked by a teammate is terrible, happened multiple times. I don't know how there's still people out there that don't know this and most of the time they just stand there instead of moving out of the way 😭😭😭
There will always be people like this. I've been stating this exact thing since Splatoon 2.
I wish they would fix it a little bit, like how Charger can shoot through teammates sometimes
@@lorettabes4553They can get a colateral (shoot through people) only on a full charge, at the exception of Bamboo who cannot colat at all.
Just one more lane bro I swear it will fix splatoon
One lesson to be learned is that sometimes, when your long and mid range teammates don't secure splats, you may be the culprit. Check your spatial awareness ✨
Can’t wait for the cooking classes
I personally can't wait for weight lifting classes.
Cooking classes would probably be on how to use bombs like Curling and Torpedo defensively, or to roll Splat bombs, etc.
Edit: One thing I loved to do in 2 when the weapon I was using had them was to fully cook a curling bomb and drop it on an enemy from above. Who expects that when fighting someone else or trying to invade base on Wahoo World?
The hydra main video has finally come
As someone who sometimes plays splatlings, part of the reason why I don't play them more often is because way too much of the time, my god damn teammates don't realise that I have higher dps than them and can take down opponent players faster and decide, hey, I'm the "frontliner" so therefore I have to engage this enemy and then both my teammate and I end up going down
oh my god, tell me about it. A splattershot staying behind me while playing hydra is just some dumb shit.
Right tbh like get out of the way and find something else to do. Paint around them or smth
After playing the weapon for three years, I found myself asking: how can I help my team now? What is our bottleneck?
And sometimes... it really is because someone is not doing their role, so us backlines get rushed and we can't stay alive because our teammates aren't helping.
Like: as a splatling, in certain situations I need someone to keep the enemy busy so I can finish them off. But if that isn't happening, I swear to god I can't fight 4 people at once.
Squid school i know you’re not gonna read this but I want to thank you anyways for getting me into S rank today. I’ve been playing since splatoon 1 yet the highest I got to was A. In only a month, your videos have helped me skim through B- to S, thank you!!
Oh yeah, if anyone is wondering, my gear has been literal shit the whole time. I love building gear but remember, skill is really what takes you to the high ranks.
I can't tell you how many times I've been shot blocked when using a splatling. there have been many situations where i would have dealt with the over extend and instead end up 2 down because my teammate simply stood in front of ALL of my shots
I really feel what you're saying about how difficult it is to stay out of teammate's lanes on cramped maps. As a squeezer/jet enjoyer I often feel like I'm battling with the real anchor player on our team for the one decent long range position on the map, and usually I give it to them but it feels like there's not many good places for me to be
It’s frontline squeezer time baby
@@TheEggoEffect yeah I really gotta work on my close quarters combat
Hey Gem, could you do a lesson on escape routes? I'm not sure how I'm supposed to be thinking about them and I don't have any triggers for mental red flags going up when I don't have an escape route, you know?
On the other side of being a splatling player, this is also very important should you try to approach a splatling (or really any backliner). You talked about it, but I cannot exaggerate how many engagements have been trivialized by me being able to safely splat multiple players running at me from basically the same angle. (insert remark here about map design and how they have no other option than to rush and pray if they don't have a displacement special on hand)
that was a cool car bro, good job including it in your video
As I hydra main (yes I know) I agree, if me and a short/mid rang shooter are in the same place as me sombody is out of position
People get me killed so much becuase they body block me and the enemy team gets a double by killing us both
YES THIS
I follow the rule of thumb that I should spaced from friendlies by at least 1 explosive
Emperor Road taking this to the highest degree
Looks like I’m early to class
But if I’m in the left most lane how am I supposed to merge lanes without blinkers
As a relatively new splatling player, I didnt know shot blocking was in this game and this explains a few things
Same
Had a solo q match a few months back, I was splatlings, they were charger. Every time I would rotate to not be on them, they’d rotate with me. I think they thought they were sticking with 2 v 1 engagements, but the reality was we were just shot blocking each other and drawing bombs that blew our charges.
I had a similar experience as an e-liter having a tri stringer constantly change position with me. I wouldn't have minded as much because we stayed far enough that we weren't eating eachothers' shots at least, but every time someone attacked the ledge that meant we both got displaced instead of one of us having a sight line and being able to take a shot at them.
here i was thinking this would be an actual driving lesson but i suppose thats more content for the other channel
The title is also dating advice
This video helped me so much. 10/10 recommended
I run into a similar thing to this a lot as a tri-stringer player. A PSA to all midline/backline anchor/aggro flexes (splatlings, tri stringer, jet/squelchers, rapid pro, etc), if you queue into a game with a similar weapon in that pool and you see one positioning in a place you usually position in, DO NOT POSITION IN THE SAME PLACE AS THEM. It's always bad to position in the same place as another backliner, but it's especially bad when you're an anchor weapon that wants to play a bit closer up/more agressively.
This happens a lot to me in solo q because a ton of lower level players literally just know like one position on each map to stay and not move from the entire game, meaning even if I'm already there, they'll position there too and I just have to move to a different spot.
Finally someone talks about this thanks dude 😎
If you're on my team? Please don't get close to me unless absolutely necessary. If you're on the other team, please group up as much as possible and stand exactly in the sweet spot range for my blaster, I love singlehandedly getting 4 splats at the exact same time.
I hate it when my torpedo hits someone and my wiper shot doesn’t kill because someone was in the way
This video made me think that maybe they should enable friendly fire haha
@@romanawwYes! That'd make for a great and terrible challenge mode
@@bwappo I'd honestly love that haha

Hello Mr. Gem, I’d like to ask you for some advice. I recently five starred bloblobber and I’d like to try something new to gain some experience. I’ve realized that partially why I enjoy the bloblobber is because of the pace of the movement. When I play with a shooter on the front line the pace is so fast and crazy that I find myself getting too stressed out. I like the bloblobber much better. What other weapon(s) would you suggest I look at next? I can’t aim a charger AT ALL. I would really appreciate your input, hopefully that is enough info that I provided. ☺️
Not an expert, but which how you describe it, but I think you should try some of the other slosher classes or blasters!
My personal fav is Explo (4stars on it rn), it has a really interesting way it spaces itself from other weapons as a true anchor, lobbing well-aimed shots like a trebuchet is really satisying when you hear the double-hit sound of a direct.
For blasters, rapid blaster and normal blaster also has a similar if not larger range than blob, you trade off the angles and constant bounces with your AOEs and OHKOs, though it might feel a tad more ink-hungry and slower sometimes. These might be harder since aim is a really big deal for both of my suggestions, but they are not at all as ride-or-die as chargers.
Both bring really new change from blob and I hope you have fun picking new weapons :D
“Cool car bro” 😭😭😭
When you're fighting around a Splatling player and need to swap to the other side of them... Just go around their line of fire, not through. There's only two things a player can do to actually annoy me if they're on my team... Shot-blocking more than once, and playing the game wrong on purpose in ranked.
If you're just bad at the game? We cool. I'm bad at the game in a lot of ways too. My play is overly individualistic and I can get focused on splats over the objective. But stand in front of me? I want to redecorate the interior of your house with Burst Bombs.
I guess you're never going to address the complaints under your "Getting hit through walls is your mistake" short :)
Good morning.
Morning
How does this video interact with playing as a Brella? Sometimes I intentionally move this close to people in order to protect them from something.
Obviously sometimes that's the priority and sometimes staying out of their lane is, but which situation is which. (and how does that change with each variant?)
If I didn't know Gem used to play League of Legends, this video would have taught me 😹
If it were League I'd be recommending leaving your lane whenever you can get away with it
Hi
