    I and my wife switched a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 altitude package for this beauty!!!. We got it in gray metallic nightshade tho, we changed it cause that piece of crap of FCA SUV was giving us lots of problems and we bought it brand new, and the worst part is that it only had 20k miles and always took really good care of it. We put 20k miles in almost 3 years and it still gave us problems before that, good thing I convinced my wife to switched it for a Toyota!!!!. So far she loves this ride!!!!!.

      Two people I know who bought their Jeep Grand Cherokee's brand new ended up getting rid of them about 3 years later because they had issues with them.
      I use to want one but now I'm looking at the 4runner.

      Bought a Jeep Patriot 2016 brand new and put a whopping 6K miles on it per year. Starting feeling transmission problems at 30K miles. Traded it in and bought a new 2021 4runner limited. Never again will I buy an American car. Had a Ford and Mercury before. All had major problems.

    On the Limited Edition, that basic key fob DOES have Remote start... Press button 3 times and hold on third - 4Runner starts
    Just got mine last night, dealer showed me that feature... Many functions on that basic fob. Couple buttons with multiple combinations for functions.

      I just bought a 21' Limited, and it's the first thing I had the salesman show me to make sure it had it lol. I'm not spending well over 40k and not have that, because I have to get up early and deal with frosted windshields almost half of the year. If I'm running late that takes so much stress off. I pick it up in 2 days (bought late on a Saturday), can't wait!!

    So much to ♥️in our 2021 Toyota 4Runner Limited, full time 4x4. Over the decades, this is our 4th Toyota 4Runner. We have now owned generation 2, 3, 4 and now 5th.
    The Limited has the Cross-Linked Relative Absorber System, or X-REAS sport suspension system and we are very impressed with the excellent, crisp handling it provides at highway speeds, especially in cross winds and driving in our Colorado steep winding Rocky Mountain roads. It handles more like a sports car, not a heavy suv. The engine and transmission however, not so much.
    Compared to our 2005 4Runner 4x4 v8, the 4.0l v6 engine and 5 speed transmission is disappointing in our high altitude Colorado Rocky Mountains. 1st gear is fine, 2nd-5th is either too high or too low of a gear ratio for the less capable v6 achieving a disappointing 12 mpg City, 17mpg Highway. Our v8 4Runner 4x4 achieved a superior 19mpg City, 25 mpg Highway.
    The driver seat for some reason is very uncomfortable compared to the front passenger seat. It appears it is crooked and leaning. We are going to request a replacement from our local dealerships along with a new driver side headlight as it has dead LED spots.
    With the Limited’s ample well appointed upscale standard features that are only available from competitors starting in the $70,000+ price range and being just as home on the highway as it is going up steep 4x4 dirt Colorado mountain trails, the Toyota Limited 4x4 is simply the best value in its class.
    In all, with the 4Runnner’s legendary reliability we have been relying on for decades and superb value, we highly recommend the Toyota 4Runner.

      @mattb9664 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dreknotz1996 2020 Limited has the remote start, but not sure about earlier models. Don't worry, it's typical Toyota super conservative implementation... the engine shuts off as soon as the door is unlocked, and the engine needs restarted...this doesn't make any sense to me. You are allowed to move the car around and even drive it for a few minutes without the smart key present after a normal start, but I'm not sure why the smart key holder isn't allowed to get in a drive after a remote start. Akin to Toyota's random button placement across models. Still a great vehicle though.

    Anyone who likes value & a vehicle that is a quality ride after 10+ years doesn’t shit on a 5 speed transmission that has years of proven quality. I have an 8 year old Tacoma & a 10 year old 4Runner & I don’t regret either purchase. They’re still going strong and they’ve cost me almost nothing beyond basic maintenance. All cars should be reviewed after 5 years because talking about quality before that is complete bs.

    The legend gets LED headlights and absolutely nothing else other than a price raise.
    As much as I want one, the price on these has gone up by nearly 10 grand on the premium models in a few years.
    As a result, there are used ones still worth the same as when they were purchased 3 or 4 years ago, and new used ones selling for more than sticker.
    It makes no sense.

    Too bad Toyota continues with the old, tired 4.0L NA engine, and 5 spd transmission. Should have at least been updated to the 3.5L NA and an 8 spd eons ago. Former 4Runner owner, and won't be buying another one while this persists.

    • @iseeu2002
      @iseeu2002 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You really want a 3.5L that is meant for crossover as opposed to a 4L that is meant for a truck with more torque then hp which is important for a truck,suv. the 1gr-fe is a great engine as oppose to the 2gr-fks which the current tacoma has which is dog crap. They should have stuck with the 4.0. I can see you are not really into cars if you don't know the differences but I do agree the 5 speed is outdated. Doesn't need an 8 speed. 6 gears in more then enough. Still love my 4runner with the true and tried 4l v6.

    • @breaddrinker
      @breaddrinker 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There's some interesting reviews out there that explain how a 5 speed can work better than more due to gearing ratios and how they are designed and programmed to be utilized. In short. An 8 speed will change up and down more, which isn't ideal for anything other than highway economy.
      If you had a 100 gear transmission, you would see it changing continuously.
