The policeman's "thank you" at the end moved me... Just some proper equipment sent without much delay makes such a difference!💔 Thank you Harley for all you do🌟 Hope you feel better soon in your healing phase 🍀🤞Glory to the Heroes‼️🇺🇦🇬🇧
Stay positive mate. Nothing wrong with sorting your health out and making sure that you heal up well. A fully fit soldier is an effective soldier. Sappers clear the Way! Sappers in the Breach! Eyes up, & eyes down ginger beers 🇦🇺🫡🇬🇧
Many, many thanks for showing us these people doing the hard, dangerous, unglamorous and largely invisible work of mine-clearing! Just try to keep your head and health together - we'll keep supporting you in our small way too! Love from Canada.
It's great you are getting better. Having the patience to wait to heal is hard. A livestream would be great. There is no need to worry about editing. I'm glad we are helping others. I get the impression that police in rural areas of Ukraine need to have more abilities than just catching burglars. For all the gang in Ukraine..... Keep safe, be well. 💙💛 🇺🇦
Thanks for the update, Harley. I know it’s hard to wait for the bones to mend, but healing will come. Prayers. And I know you’re still working while at home. That field in Kherson has so many mines. What a huge job. Glad to send a bit more support.
Lots of great news ... i'm so pleased you're healing well Harley 🤞 I can see you're frustrated being away from your work, unwind , rest up, and i hope to see you on a Q&A stream soon. Thanks for all you do ❤
Good news on your recovery and a great update. I will be able to send a donation in a couple of days. Keep up the good work and I hope everyone who sees this can throw a little money your way. It’s a great way to help save Ukrainian lives. Slava Ukraini💙💛. Heroyam Slava 💪🏼🇺🇦🇺🇦💪🏼🇺🇦
Thank you for the updates Harley and good to see your ankle is healing well🎉. Also good to see the sappers in the north happy with the gear sent by you!! A live chat would be nice but only if you have time and energy to do one. Take care and Razom Do Peremohy 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇦🇬🇧
These people are so humble, Harley ❤ can see that you have still been busy with all the equipment you sent. it might not seem like it, but your body will be glad of the rest, especially since you didn't let up after your last scare won't be too long till you're up and running 😂 take care
Hi Harley. Pleased to hear your ankle is healing ok. You really must be missing everyone back in Ukraine but you're looking really well and the break also doing you good too. Keep up the good work Harley. You are very much appreciated by everyone. Really nice to see the videos. 💛💙🫶
Daytime tv is a type of modern day torture if you're forced to watch enough- I find your brain turns to mush 😁. Thanks for the update, the lads in Kherson aren't going to be retiring any time soon are they?. Keep well.
While waiting for a broken ankle to heal makes you feel anxious to get back to Ukraine i hope the stress you were feeling before your "break" is less. Maybe it is good you are not in Ukraine during the hot summer days with an ankle brace. Think zen thoughts. Ukraine and the mines will still be there. Take care of you. 🥰
I hope someone fixed you a Thomas splint, Harley. And I wish you a very speedy recovery any which way. Thank you for this update. Not just for bringing is up to speed; it’s always nice hearing from you. And I’d say things are a great deal brighter for Ukraine as of late. I hope you feel that too, and that it may help you get through these weeks of forced inactivity. 👍👍👍❤️🇺🇦🔱✌️
Take care of yourself… you will be back on site doing life saving work soon 👍👍 … how are the family of your friend who recently lost his life ? - I do hope they are being properly cared for and supported 😢
Go to a climbing\mountaineering shop and get yourself some proper hiking boots with good ankle support. They will cost you a couple of hundred quid but they will last forever and protect your ankles.
Yes, Mine from 1971 are still working fine. They look crappy, and the young people do not appreciate the way leather adjusts to you. I am unable to climb anymore but I still use them every winter for a couple of weeks snowshoe camping in thick woods next to Canada. The youngsters wonder why I do not get blisters or sore feet when I am a has been old couch potato,
thanks for update, harley. can you pls do a small vid, if the patches arrive? are the design different or same as i received 2-3 weeks ago? ❤ pls get well soon. slava ukraini ❤
Thanks for update. Glad you've had good news and are on the way to recovery, I know by personal experience bones need time to recover and it cannot be hurried. The field with mines is a terrible reminder of what Ukraine has to deal with.
I am so glad you are healing as expected. The giant velcroed hospital sock is a great improvement on a cast! Keeping the break stable for an extended period is probably sensible. It is good to get brief catch ups with your team and the people you are supporting. Take care.
Thanks for the update mate! Glad everything goes well with your ankle. A livestream would be a great idea, gives people the opportunity to ask questions that sometimes get lost in the comments or on Instagram.
Harley I pulled ma account from Instagram. They removed a completely innocuous comment. 🙄😳 Dumped it after all I could 'connect' with was AI. 😖 Anywho support stays, I get older, SSDD. 'Same stuff different day. (Left cuss word out, so polite of me. 😂 Summer + leg cast = misery. At least the boot can be removed to clean and cool.
Time zones are not too important to your subscribers. We know some of us will live where it may not be convenient, but we can make it work. Sat or early Sunday maybe. unless someone is at work they can set their alarm or stop watching the races or whatever to watch you. The most important thing is to give several days advance notice so we have time to adjust our schedules if needed. If people will tell you what time zone they are in that might help you to get as many people involved as possible. I am in US Central Standard time but near the Mountain standard time zone. (its a pain when we vote because some vote 6am-6pm and some 7am-7pm so all the results come out at same time). As a former outdoor activities leader who is now 77 please do not rush your return to full activity level, it is terribly frustrating but I have seen too many rush and end up with a lifelong injury. (I am a graduate of the instructor training course, 5 months at the Briitish National Center for Mountaineering at the foot of Mt Snowdon) That was over 50 yrs ago so it may be called something different now. But because of that and 2 courses in US I appreciate how important good training is whenever you are doing something dangerous. So I know how important the work you are doing is, and how hard it is to train someone and then watch them go out on their own the first few times.
Harley I broke the left leg 🦵 twice, they left a stainless screw in my leg... I'll be sure to walk carefully to speed the healing process... Your friend the One Voodoo S.H.P. 88 Samuel Hedden Parker ❤ Say a Prayer for Peter RIP 🙏 // Happy birthday from New Orleans Louisiana USA 🇺🇸
Reminds me of when I had my ankle x-rayed. I asked the radiologist what generated the x-rays. "The machine," He said. "No, how are the rays generated?" He looked at me blankly. "I do not know," he said. 3 years of training and no idea how the thing actually works. Take it easy, and abide in patience.
Щиро дякую, Артеме... Низький уклін Вам до землі🙇♀ Yes, I could understand a fair bit of what was being said there, so that's a good sign. It really is *us* who thank you. This land there so needs to be cleared of what the russians left behind in their wake. Everything they do affects Ukraine, ergo Ukraine's future for the children. Thank you so much for this update, Harley. Your guys are amazing. They take such risks as most of us would not entertain taking, to make the land in Ukraine safe. People should never underestimate those risks. That thoughtful elderly gentleman, may his soul rest in peace. Eternal memory to him. Nice boot, Harley, maybe we can nickname you now, give you a form of call sign "Kinky Boots" 😂 Though it's not really kinky, but that was great news to hear that you have progressed to the more comfortable boot, and have better goals in mind; frustrating though it is. You're totally staying in the loop and doing all you can, considering. I'm so proud of you for that, as I'm sure your beautiful lady is. My best regards to her also.
So you broke the same bit as before. Do you think you could try some other bone next time? We have heaps to choose from 😄Now I was chatting to my brother in Germany about vans etc. His reply was go for small buses as they have to be maintained to a certain standard while passing a myriad of laws along the way. He is looking in to German temporary plates although I also need to have a look at the rules about exporting vehicles. Or you could do this to keep the grey matter ticking over? Anyway thinking of you mate get well soon those that know and understand consider you to be a diamond geezer.
Thanks Harley, I understand your feeling to want to get back outside. So this ankle doesn’t break again, I reckon you should talk to a physio and get some balancing exercises to work into your daily exercises. (I know, but if you want to keep working in the field…) Strengthen the muscles around the ankle and buy quality supportive boots. 🫡
Live stream would be great. For USA viewers 7 or 8pm cmCentral is usually best. 5pm 8pm seems to catch a lot of American and European viewers from what I can tell. Live streams get the best interactions imo. Thanks for the update, and get better soon. 🫡
