- As the sun sets, another set of Sandhi Prakash ragas come into the picture. These are the counterparts of the pre-dawn ragas. At this time, light meets darkness unlike dawn and this difference is reflected in the swaras used.The sunset ragas are once again somber and introspective. This volume begins with Pandit Jasraj's vocal rendition of raga Marwa. This is followed by raga Shree, sung by Shruti Sadolikar. The volume concludes with raga Hamsadhwani, rendered by Shahid Parvez on the sitar. The ragas are clearly for an early evening or the dusk.

Indian music appreciation: New subscriber to this channel. Exploring & still have much to learn about classical music & these particular ragas, but I do sense the peacefulness. For now it's the simple things ... quietly listening to this on a Friday night, while reading a book instead of watching TV ... a very relaxed world-music fan from the US. Thank you.
Yes the Peacefulness feeling is Original and Authentic. It transforms the State of Mind. Quiet listening on a Friday night is a Great Idea but Listening with Closed Eyes Instead of Reading a Book would have a Double Effect. Do Try.

That's the reality and beauty of the things, somethings are only meant for higher learning and understanding. Not everyone can understand the mystery of music, that's why in India we say music is divided in to two, one for the higher understanding that is Uchhangsangit ( Highest form of Music) whereas the other for the general understanding.
Yes it is Mesmerizing, Blissful and makes you feel at Calm and Peace. The Low number of Likes are because we are Living in a World Full of Distractions. People Really need Help.
