    Defense and limited offensive actions.
    Basically, you have to tank your Heavy on implants.
    Restoration Kits too. I do not use medical for defense holds. Since If you wait for the entire heal. You get more than 500. If you are going to be taking chip damage. Restoration Kits are what I prefer. If you are a heavy laying down suppression fire. The weapon has prove wonderful for that.
    Large magazine. A lot of bullets down range. That is all it really has going for it. I am not complaining.

    My experience with this gun has been the exact opposite. I used no barrel attachments, laser sight and soft point ammo, and on my nso char it became my second fastest auraxium, in about 6 hours of holding the weapon according to the PSArchives app. I don't know why, but naginata just felt good with its high, but consistent recoil

      Interesting.

    The gun is amazing, it just goes against the normal play style. Use attachments that real in the recoil, see a target, stand still and shoot. You can do very small micro strafes in between shots but for the most part stand perfectly still and you will body targets.

    • @yanlexi
      @yanlexi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, and then you get domed in the fucking head because standing still is a good way to get quadplinked.

      @@yanlexi Not in my experience. If you aim head first you’ll kill them well before they can kill you. Just sounds like more of a skill issue if you ask me.

      Could be.

      @@yanlexi Sorry if that cane off offensive btw, wasn’t trying to be, it really is one of those weapons that requires a different set of skills and play style. It is the exact opposite of every other weapons play style and that’s why I usually say it’s a skill issue when people play the weapon. I ran into the same issues when I first auraxed it and then came back and completely changed my mentality of how I use it. Once you get into the habit and standing still and finishing altercations quickly you realize just how absurd the gun can be. Even in the footage you were showing I watched you move way to much when using it. Try it again but with the philosophy I gave you in mind. You can also crouch spam between shots to throw off headshots. It’ll take some getting used to but the weapon really comes alive once you get the hang of it.

      No worries, I understand what you meant. I couldn't get it to work at all for me. Maybe when I come back for the Platinum one.

    I actually can't recommend Soft Point ammo on this in any circumstance. The maximum damage of 150 only changes the shots-to-kill against infiltrators in close quarters. Either ammunition choice gives it 143 damage at 29 meters, which is remarkable but not excellent. It really needs that extra speed from High Velocity ammunition to fill the niche role of "LMG that thinks it's a scout rifle."

    • @yanlexi

      Good to know.

  • @joti160
    @joti160 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nagi is great lol. Just ignore the gimmick. I think I put up a 3KD 2KPM auraxium on it but that was a while ago, could do even quicker now. On VS and NSO specifically it fills a much needed niche, the high mag capacity decent dmg model LMG. Polaris, Pulsar, SVA, are all just lacking comparatively.

    • @yanlexi
      @yanlexi  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's still subpar compared to all your starters, and the damage is really bad (15M levels without the control and .75). No reason to use it besides directives.

  • @aquapendulum

    I literally have never seen this gun on a kill report. Either no PlanetSide 2 player deploys with it or the few who do never got a kill on me. 😆

    • @yanlexi
      @yanlexi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Basically lmao. People only use the thing because it was A)free or they need it for a directive

      My PL was recommending the Naga to a new player over the faction LMG's, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing lol 💀

      like DUDE
      Orion is best in class, CARV is super easy to use, and GD22S is solid. XMG-100 is a great NSO learner too, like, what?!

    • @kiro-fo9qg
      @kiro-fo9qg ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yanlexi he probably only uses the Naga himself, because of the sustained fire it offers. But that's just teaching new players bad habits imho.

    Offense Use:
    It depends. When I am advancing and I am moving cover to cover. With a group. It is not the worst choice. I tend to harden my tank. When playing a supportive advancing tank. Opposed to a pushing forward tank. Where there is less cover. This is not a bad weapon.

    • @yanlexi
      @yanlexi  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, but why not play a more aggressive weapon with more DPS and no shitty bloom?

  • @talismanoce5303
    @talismanoce5303 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It requires a completely different playstyle from every other LMG which makes it hard to pick up, instead of ADAD strafing you need to just crouch and do it semi randomly. Its not great, but its not bad, its pretty middle of the road.

    • @yanlexi
      @yanlexi  ปีที่แล้ว

      No reason to use it over a 15M.

  • @M_R.b
    @M_R.b ปีที่แล้ว

    Personally it's really accurate and strong , needs 10 headshot to kill an other heavy assault which is a nice quality it have 163 DMG model weapons needs 5 headshots too
    In nason defiance naginata with flash supressor and extended magazine with resist shield and ammo pack with survivalist and implant increasing resist shield duration , I just shoot the entire day on them and get free kills

  • @rain8478
    @rain8478 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This isn't the hottest gun as usual with NSX guns but its often described as "inaccurate" which I find a little bizarre.
    Its a pretty accurate gun. Its just really low on RPM department. Which is like, baaad for any gun lol. DPS is king and nagi doesnt have it.

    • @yanlexi
      @yanlexi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, it's accurate, but you have to stand still and get headclicked to do so. And if you just ADAD it, it's worse than a 15M...

    • @rain8478
      @rain8478 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yanlexi I meant its accurate recoil wise. Mostly vertical with very little horizontal. So it has the potential to reward skill ceiling but shoots too slow to do so.
      Its the damage model imo thats the issue. It would be a lot more viable of a gun at 730 or even 698 RPM.
      This is kind of my issue with 150 damage model NSO guns too, they pay too much in RPM to be good.

  • @TheHuffur
    @TheHuffur ปีที่แล้ว

    I 100% agree but for some reason I cant even explain I WANT to like this gun.
    Luckily I am sort of close to getting auraxium on it on my NSO character, mainly due to a lot of missions where I have used it for example "LMG kills", when I get auraxium on it I will likely never ever use it again... except perhaps a meme Fortify implant loadout where I cosplay a Engineer turret.
