The show was moved to a different night of the week during its run, but I don't remember what day. I think it was Thursday. Also, you have to remember even back then Fox programming went off an hour earlier than the other networks. The time parameter thing doesn't apply to them. You also have to realize Fox was the new kid on the block and they were trying new types of programming and content the other networks wouldn't touch. They did it for viewers to tune in.
The Fox "news" division and the entertainment division are totally separate from one another. They are owned, but not ran by the same people. But it is the same Fox strategy. When the "big three" went right, Fox (the entertainment division) went left. When they started cable "news", when the others went left, they went right. They just went for an audience which wasn't catered to before. Granted, I don't agree with 95% of what Fox "news" does, but you have to admit, it is a brilliant business move.
The brilliance of the satire in these skits ! As a gay man that lived through that era I loved it. I knew several people that would fit these two stereotypes. No, they were not the standard of all gay men. But there is some truth to their portrayals . I was rarely offended and even then, since it was not meant to be offensive but some writer's conception based on gay men he had known.

The thing that makes the 90’s so wild and free was the concept that after prime time or on cable what you could get away with was very different than what was considered normal programming.
Damon left after the third season to do movies, but would come back for special appearances like men on cooking and homie the clown. The men on skits were spread out over the episodes enough to were you always watching so you don’t miss the next installment.

I also remember the "Men on whatever, because it was a New Topic each week and sometimes you would catch Damon Wayans and David Grier holding in the laughter as they were doing The Skits. The show was a Melting Pot of Talent , meaning Wayans Brothers would hie you No Matter what Color You were. I think it's a shame the way some parts of this world has Become . This Show brings back GOOD Memories and alot of People Owe The Wayans Brothers a debt of gratitude for helping them get theirs careers started. What you are missing is that skits like these may have innuendos to things but if you notice there was no cussing or slurs or using the N word which is so popular today . They managed to be hilarious without cussing or using MF every 4th word in a sentence not unlike today . A sign of a true comedian is they do not have to resort to using cuss words , slurs or derogatory language to be funny , something that is lost today .

What you are missing is that skits like these may have innuendos to things but if you notice there was no cussing or slurs or using the N word which is so popular today . They managed to be hilarious without cussing or using MF every 4th word in a sentence not unlike today . A sign of a true comedian is they do not have to resort to using cuss words , slurs or derogatory language to be funny , something that is lost today .
