High Pro Glow was a commercial years ago about dog food. Once the dog ate the high pro dog food, it was so nutritious, it gave the dog a shinny coat, in other words, the High Pro Glow. Get it.
The real show was called "The Dating Game" and the set looked exactly like that. The audience could see all the participants the whole time, but the people on either side of the partition couldn't see each other until the end. The winner of the date didn't see who they were going with until after they were chosen. That's why this skit is funny.
Geraldine Jones (portrayed by Flip Wilson) came two decades before Wanda and Sheneneh. She was the OG! She put catchphrases like "When you're hot, you're hot, and when you're not, you're not" and "What you see is what you get" into everyday vernacular.
You asked about the "Miss Hi Pro Glow" part. The dog food brand Alpo ran commercials back then claiming their line of dog food called Hi-Pro gave dogs a shiny healthy coat they termed the "Hi-Pro Glow".
The Dating Game was a game show where one subject was divided from three contestants vying for a date by a partition- as the subject asked the contestants questions. As contestants were eliminated one by one they came to the subjects side and met them then left the stage. Serial Killer Rodney Alkalon was a contestant( bachelor #1) on the show
In Living Color is one of the best shows ever. The incredible performers were given a lot of leeway for improvisation. Led to some of the funniest sketches ever shown on TV
Wanda actually came first literally months before Sheneneh first appeared (Sept. 3, 1992). In Living Color started in 1990 but Wanda first appeared early/mid '92, so Wanda was first.
Ok Britt I’m was diagnosed with severe depression at age 11… I’m nearly 60, girl this reaction video did to me what DECADES of therapy couldn’t achieve. I just watched you watch Paul Anka Having My Baby… they I saw this and decided to watch ONG I’m so glad I did. I’m sitting here in South Florida in a tiki hut in the back yard having my morning coffee. GURL… I cannot even recall the last time I laughed like this. I’ve seen this episode so I really wanted to see your perspective, there’s a conversation there but that’s not what my comment is about. That was an amazing experience. Watching YOUR reaction was funnier than the skit itself. So thank you you lifted my spirits and I will carry it with me throughout my productive day ahead!!! Stay blessed, and congratulations on the baby 🎉❤ Keep spreading the joy, your smile is like a beacon of light bringing all walks of life together in these crazy times… you’re a breath of fresh air!!
My 9th-month pregnant wife went into false labor when we were watching Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura - Pet Detective for the first time. After we checked her into the maternity ward, things calmed down, and we returned home. A couple weeks later, a healthy 10-pound baby boy.
The oldest portrayal of this l know of is Flip Wilson as Geraldine back in the mid 60's early 70's l believe. He was awesome, l loved watching him and Carol Bernett, as well as Laugh In. Great skits and comedy.
The funniest Wanda skit to me is the one where she is a masseuse. Especially the unaired blooper version. Also, the " Men On" skits are hilarious. Especially "Men On Fitness".
You need to react to the skit when it comes out that Wanda was originally in En Vogue. All four beautiful ladies appear in the skit and when they do "it's time for a breakdown" from "(My Lovin') You're Never Going To Get It" is off the chart. Wanda came first as Jamie Foxx joined "In Living Color" in 1991 and Wanda's first appearance was on Season 3 Episode 18 "Ugly Wanda: Masseuse" that aired on February 9th, 1992. "Martin" started on August 27th, 1992. Sheneneh first appeared in season 1 episode 6 "Forever Sheneneh" that aired on October 1st, 1992.
During the 1960's and 1970's there was a real show called The Dating Game. The format as shown in the skit was the same as on the show where the three bachelors were hidden on stage from the female contestant. The two not chosen were introduced first and then the winning bachelor met his date for the first time. This show was considered risque for this time period due to the questions asked by the contestant and responses given by the three potential winners.
The Dating Game ran from 1965 - 1986 and according to IMDB, Jim Carrey, Tom Selleck, Arnold Schwarzenegger, among other stars was a contestant on the show. Chuck Berris (The Gong Show) was a co-creator of the show. Loved watching In Living Color when it was on. 👍👍
My recently deceased wife made me research this once TH-cam became a thing. I watched the show, but missed this one. The hug between David Alan Grier and Jim Carrey never fails to make me laugh harder than anything in this A grade piece of American art.
Your laugh is so contagious and natural, that’s how we use to laugh when we watched In Living Color. Glad you got to watch it. Just heard you’re expecting, I want to wish you, your husband, and your baby all Gods blessing. 🙏
rumor has it that none of the guys had seen Jamie in his "Wanda" get up before they actually came over and met her - hence the genuine reactions from them all !!!
Saw it in real time back in the day and this show was a group watch with my friends. These actors were absolutely hilarious. This show could not be made today without being protested.
This was HILARIOUS 😂😂...And Bachelor #2 Was Tommy Davidson (you need to see his stand up. He's Very Funny)..And All Of It Was Add-Libbed. If You Noticed,The Whole Cast Became Huge 🌟 Stars. So They Were Already Talented To Add-Libbs. Great Reaction Britt😁👍🏾
Nice reaction girl! Both this episode and Martin came around the same time...... So i think it's a coincidence that Shenehneh and Wanda both were in drag lol.
One of my favorites.. The show was legendary.. This was a must watch tv ,,, in the day.. And it's always talked about the next day.... You have to do ( home boy shopping club.) . It's a classic..
I remember Wanda but I didn't remember this skit. Oh my goodness my sides hurt! I'm like "Ooooh Britt don't pop the baby out!" 🤣 I'm guessing the guys didn't see Jamie in costume before they filmed because those reactions are genuine! So... I was like maybe 11 or 12 when this aired. Is this where "Ret ta go!" came from? Man this show was classic in so many ways!
5:37 I've remembered & repeated to others that line for 30 years (suck til your forehead caved the hell in) 😅 God they had such original lines ...(not since the LL Cool J concert)....David Alan Grier & Tommy Ds reactions at the end were priceless. She wants to fight David 'cause he's laughing at her.
Tommy Davidson was the unlucky winner of this episode. This show was insanely funny! Many great comedic minds. Vericosa mistress of pain was one of my favorites.
🤣 We watched this regularly from the time it first aired. First time we met any of the cast and we loved the show immediately. So, so funny! (and I'm with you - I like Jim Carey too!) 😄
Britt, I alway loved this show, what a great cast, all funny as heck. David Allen Grier is so underrated the guy is hilarious. Great reaction. When Tommy Davidson jumped into Jim Carey's arms I could breath I was laughing so hard, keep these comin!
Tommy Davidson. One of the funniest actors ever. Actually, you had 5 of the best comedians. Davidson, Marlon, Jim, Jamie, and my favorite, David Allen Grier. Such a funny show with so much talent. And, T'Keyah Crystal, I had the biggest crush on her.
You're somehow pretending that no one ever got offended back then? Really? Cuz I was definitely alive and aware then, and a LOT of people got offended. Especially a particular religious group who began the entire satanic panic because they demanded the entire nation needed to hate rock music, Dungeons and Dragons, any movie involving any witch/vampire/werewolf/sorcery/magic/religion other than theirs in a good light/any people not straight/anyone wearing clothing they didnt deem appropriate and much much more.
This episode was in May 1992. Martin started airing in August 1992. Martin Lawrence said that Shenene and Wanda were supposed to make a movie together but it never ended up happening.
I immediately remember my time in the USA in exchange year in the 90s and also all the years after and what I had seen there on TV shows and movies .... And here came to me immediately: Jamie as Bunz, Tommy Davidson as Rushon in the Movie Booty Call !!! 🤣🤭🙃 Greetings from 🇨🇭 Switzerland
I'm a 45 year old white Canadian. I grew up watching Detroit channels. In Living Colour(Canada) and Martin were the best. I think UPN had Friends back then too.
Wanda is the greatest character of all time. Check out the one with Wanda in the massage parlor. I legit think Jamie Foxx might be the most talented man out there.
I loved watching In Living Color and would record every episode. Then me and my friend would watch them over & over again. You should check out the blooper episodes
We in Gen X had THE BEST comedy. The show was INSANE, it was so hilarious. They weren't afraid to skewer everything and everyone. Life was so good back then.
Gotta be one of the best reactions out there lmao.
Thank you so much!!
"High Pro" was a 90's dog food, that promoted 'the High Pro Glow' for dogs fur.😂@@brittreacts
But majority of the reactions out there Don't stop it every 2 seconds, they just let the comedy flow.
This is probably the funniest skit that has ever been on tv. Hurts my face everytime I watch it.
High Pro Glow was a commercial years ago about dog food. Once the dog ate the high pro dog food, it was so nutritious, it gave the dog a shinny coat, in other words, the High Pro Glow. Get it.
This show should never have been canceled.
This!!!
I feel ya, but season 5 was a little flat
The story is nobody in the skit saw Jamie in costume yet so all their reactions are real. David Alan Grier always kills me in this one.
Girl!😂 You're killing me!🤣🥰
In Living Color was such a great show! "I'm going to Europe." LOL
The real show was called "The Dating Game" and the set looked exactly like that. In Living Color and Married With Children were the best shows on broadcast tv. We need these kinds of shows back!!!!!!
You asked about the "Miss Hi Pro Glow" part. The dog food brand Alpo ran commercials back then claiming their line of dog food called Hi-Pro gave dogs a shiny healthy coat they termed the "Hi-Pro Glow".
Jamie Fox made sure none of the other actors saw him prior to the taping so all their reactions are legit. Brilliant.
Jennifer Lopez got her start as a Fly Girl on In living color
The Dating Game was a game show where one subject was divided from three contestants vying for a date by a partition- as the subject asked the contestants questions. As contestants were eliminated one by one they came to the subjects side and met them then left the stage. Serial Killer Rodney Alkalon was a contestant( bachelor #1) on the show
Pee wee Herman and Andy Kaufman were on as contestents....in character.
In Living Color is one of the best shows ever. The incredible performers were given a lot of leeway for improvisation. Led to some of the funniest sketches ever shown on TV

In the 1970s, there was Geraldine Jones played by Flip Wilson. "The devil made me do it!"
Ok Britt I’m was diagnosed with severe depression at age 11… I’m nearly 60, girl this reaction video did to me what DECADES of therapy couldn’t achieve. I remember watching ILC religiously every Sunday night. Could not wait for the weekend!
My 9th-month pregnant wife went into false labor when we were watching Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura - Pet Detective for the first time. After we checked her into the maternity ward, things calmed down, and we returned home. A couple weeks later, a healthy 10-pound baby boy.
Real tears from those beautiful eyes
The oldest portrayal of this l know of is Flip Wilson as Geraldine back in the mid 60's early 70's l believe. He was awesome, l loved watching him and Carol Bernett, as well as Laugh In. Great skits and comedy.
In Livin Color was one of the best comedy tv shows ever. With a ton of talented artist .
The funniest Wanda skit to me is the one where she is a masseuse. Especially the unaired blooper version.
Also, the " Men On" skits are hilarious. Especially "Men On Fitness".
David Alan Griers reaction is total surprise. 😂. I know he didnt know Jamie was going to look like that. He lost it.
Liked your reaction I needed a good laugh this morning. Yes there was a show called the Dating Game. They show reruns of it from time to time.
Jim caught him like a boss lol
I LOVE Wanda --- every Wanda skit is a treasure -- My favorite one I think is when she meets Dracula --- And her one night stand lol
Wanda came before Shenehnah, but Flip Wilson was doing Geraldine in the '70s, which is the true genesis.
You need to react to the skit when it comes out that Wanda was originally in En Vogue. All four beautiful ladies appear in the skit and when they do "it's time for a breakdown" from "(My Lovin') You're Never Going To Get It" is off the chart.

Wanda is a real one. 😂😂 Every skit from this show is hilarious.
And the "love connection"
Bachelor #2 is Tommy Davidson
Another funny skit from In Living Color is Jim Carrey doing his impersonation of a female bodybuilder named "Vera De Milo". It's freakin' hilarious.
The ponytails killed me lol
+horse whinny+
I like Vera but my favorite is Fire Marshal Bill
Tears rolling. Been so long since I seen that. VCR record and rewind was the way. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.
This show was must watch television! I didn’t watch much primetime TV at this time, but I couldn’t miss in living color!
Her baby's going to be so happy & have such a good sense of humor with all those laughing hormones running through them.
Fun fact, Martin and Jaime, both brought those two characters together for a little short clip at the BET awards, called “skank, robbers“
haha thanks for letting me know!
Incidentally In Living Color was first. Started in 1990. Martin didn’t start until 92.
My recently deceased wife made me research this once TH-cam became a thing. I watched the show, but missed this one.
The hug between David Alan Grier and Jim Carrey never fails to make me laugh harder than anything in this A grade piece of American art.
Debuted in 1965. The Dating Game. It was hugely popular. Weekdays 4 pm. The set looked EXACTLY that. Music and all. Somebody did their homework.
When this show originally aired, it was probably my favorite show.
There are a few sketches with Wanda, and Tommy Davidson was always the one.
Your laugh is so contagious and natural, that’s how we use to laugh when we watched In Living Color. Glad you got to watch it. Just heard you’re expecting, I want to wish you, your husband, and your baby all Gods blessing. 🙏
In Living Colour was absolutely brilliant, and Wanda preceded Shanana (sp?)
I knew you would love it. Ugly Wanda skits are hilarious. And yes it's a takeoff on the Dating Game.
rumor has it that none of the guys had seen Jamie in his "Wanda" get up before they actually came over and met her - hence the genuine reactions from them all !!!
Saw it in real time back in the day and this show was a group watch with my friends. These actors were absolutely hilarious. This show could not be made today without being protested.
My dad, brothers and I watched all of these when they originally came aired. We laughed until we couldn't breathe. Greatest comedy show ever.
Wanda was one of my favorite characters. I always looked forward to In Living Color!
That show was the best! Wish they made shows like this today!
Nice reaction girl! Both this episode and Martin came around the same time...... So i think it's a coincidence that Shenehneh and Wanda both were in drag lol.
Jim Carrey has some strength to catch the guy like that and swing him around like a mannequin.
This- was - the - show ! Lady😅😅😅😅😅 funny as hell. Was beating Saturday night live
A lot of big names came out of In Living Color. Wanda and fire Marshall Bill always had me in stitches.
Fire Marshall Bill is a must, Men On Film and, of course, Carey's Vanilla Ice parody.
omg! I watched 'In living Color' growing up and forgot about these clips.... a much needed laugh - all the way through.
ILC was one of the most hilariously shows on TV. Greer and Carey have always been some of my favorite comics.
Wanted to add that besides Wanda and Shanana going back to the 60s and 70s was Geraldine created by the late great Flip Wilson. Check him out! 😊
But Geraldine was Fine! 😊
In Living Color was my favorite comedy show growing up.🧡
This had her dying to the point of TEARS I love this sketch 😂
Come on Britt! You’ve only just begun😎 So glad to revisit this great show with you all. Thanks once again, Britt✌🏻
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I used to watch in living color as a kid. So many great characters and skits. The one where Wanda tries to give Tommy David a massage kills me.
Tommy Davidson was the unlucky winner of this episode. This show was insanely funny! Many great comedic minds. Vericosa mistress of pain was one of my favorites.
Jim, Jamie and others went onto awesome stardom due to this hilarious show. They earned it.
🤣 We watched this regularly from the time it first aired. First time we met any of the cast and we loved the show immediately. So, so funny! (and I'm with you - I like Jim Carey too!) 😄
The look on your face was priceless lol😂. Grown up watching In Living Color, awesome show!
Britt, I alway loved this show, what a great cast, all funny as heck. David Allen Grier is so underrated the guy is hilarious. Great reaction. When Tommy Davidson jumped into Jim Carey's arms I could breath I was laughing so hard, keep these comin!

The skit where Wanda is a masseuse is equally as funny! I so enjoyed watching this with you! I laughed like it was my first time too?
These were the good ole days when no one was offended!! This show was one of my favorites ❤
Untrue. There just wasn't social media to plaster everything over the Internet.
@@ingloriousbetch4302Yeah I wish people would stop saying “no one got offended” because that is not at all true. 😂
Yeah, it was a real show on for quite some time it also featured a serial killer on one of its episodes.
I so miss this, men on film ect. There were no real controversies. We all made fun of each other.
Love your reactions!!! This was that show that came on once a week and you had to be home to see it. One of the funniest shows 😂😂😂
I'm a 45 year old white Canadian.
Flip Wilson used to dress up as a female character named Geraldine in skits on his TV specials as far back as 1972.
More In living color skits I grew up on In living color Jim Carrey was still going by the name James Carrey if you watch the credits
This is one of my favorite reactions by you , along with Sweet Child 'O Mine . keep on hitting In Living Color
I appreciate that!
I loved watching In Living Color and would record every episode. Then me and my friend would watch them over & over again. You should check out the blooper episodes
Dating game was around in the 70s an 80s and they had basically an office divider between the 3 dates and the contestant. I
Wow! I'd forgotten just how good that show was! I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Damon was my favorite on the show. Homie the Clown was hilarious and Men on Film killed me. Two snaps up!
That's *Tommy Davidson* him & *Jamie Foxx* are also in the *Tupac's* skit when *Tupac* cones on *(In Living Color)*
I will keep that in mind, thanks!
Jimmy was maybe the best comedy act ever, i cant breath when i watch this
In Living Color aired 2 years before Martin
So funny I might have to go use my bathroom I'm lucky I'm at home today lmao looking as beautiful as ever darlin ❤️
Comedy, America...America, Comedy...nice to meet you again! Been a while 😁
David Alan Grier's reaction will always kill me with this lol
Miss this show, used to watch it every Sunday night on ch.5. Tommy Davidson
Yes it was The Dating Game started in the late 60’s
In Living Color was great. So was MadTV. You should see some of those, too!
I really miss this show, Thank You!!!
And Damon's eyes sparkle.
10:04 I told ya.......I told ya didn't I....you wasn't ready😂😂😂eyes all leakin😂😂😂cryin and laughing👏👏👏 thank you for taking a chance on this one.
We in Gen X had THE BEST comedy. The show was INSANE, it was so hilarious. They weren't afraid to skewer everything and everyone. Life was so good back then.
