Dark hair is a dominant gene. If I remember my haplogroups correct a blonde parent and a dark haired parent have a 25% chance to have a blond baby, 75% would be dark haired. You need two blonde parents to nearly ensure to have a child with blonde hair. They hinted soooo many times that Jon was a Targaryen throughout the series. The editing was superb.
Yes, dark hair is more dominant than the platinum color of the Targaryens, an example of this is the Baratheon house who were always mixed with Targaryan but almost everyone was born with dark hair, only with violet eyes, but the eyes were not adapted for the show.
I honestly dont get how sooo many struggle to process this (i've probably seen 50 different reactions of this moment, and at least half are completely clueless). We are told multiple times what happened to Lyanna Stark (what the history says happened to her anyway).. She was abducted, graped and killed by Rhaegar Targaryen. This is what sets off Roberts Rebellion. Well.. we find out that this is not accurate, as Lyanna is alive. We know that she was betrothed to Robert, so the child is obviously not Robert's, as she says he'll have the baby killed if he "finds out". And what other man was in her life at that time ? Just venting a bit of frustration :D
Don’t forget, prior to Season 6, we had Oberyn Martell tell Tyrion that Rhaegar left his first wife, Elia, for another woman, implying that he remarried after divorcing his first wife. Then Ser Bariston told Daenerys how so many people loved Rhaegar and that he’d sing in the streets and give money away to people, presenting us with an overall great guy and contradicts the image Robert gave us in Season 1. And we get Littlefinger telling Sansa about how he publicly showed affection to Lyanna during a tournament. All of this should’ve been enough for people to connect the dots by the time of this reveal. I’m surprised there were people who didn’t get the memo, but kudos for those who did.

I don't blame them for not having figured out Jon's parentage from the hints we got, but failing to figure out that the kidnapped lady was probably impregnated by the kidnapper is pretty goddamn embarrassing.
It's amazing how there were people who needed to see Jon's face to understand that he is Lyanna's baby Targaryen, and yet the majority of people, even seeing the transition from the baby's face to Jon's face, didn't understand that...
Forget about not getting the Targ connection. My favorites are those who say: "So he is a Stark?!" As if him being Lyanna's son and not Neds' makes him more of a Stark? lol If anything, it would be the other way around.
It blows my mind how people first think "omg he's Robert's son!?". They can't seem to deduce it from the obvious dialogue. "If Robert finds out he'll kill him". Like what more do you need? 🤷♂
It's amazing how many people didn't realize who Jon's dad was when she said "protect him, if Robert finds out, he'll kill him". Some people are saying "but Jon had brown hair so he could have been a Barratheon" well WHY WOULD ROBERT WANT TO KILL HIM IF HE'S A BARRATHEON😂 at this point in the series we knew Lyanna was with Rhagear and we knew Robert wanted all Targaryens DEAD. There's NO reason to think this baby was anything other than Rhagear's if you were paying any attention at all
Rhaegar was a moron who caused a civil war when anyone with half a brain would have taken the throne from his obviously deranged daddy and THEN focused on fulfilling the damn prophecy.
The "history" and story as told by characters in the story, is the Rhaegar kidnapped and raped Lyanna. We know that isn't true, but that is the information that person was operating off of at the time. That's part of what makes it such a big twist!
@@KennethKaniff999 Shame most of these reactors apparently forgot all about the kidnapping and rape, since they couldn't figure out Rhaegar must have been the father...
The burden Ned took upon himself to take Jon in and tell everyone he's the offspring of him being unloyal to his wife. For a man like Ned this must've been so damn hard to do but he did it. An amazing character.
Nevermind surprised, they didn't even understand the scene when it happened? 90% of these reactors thought this scene meant that Ned or Robert were Jon's father! 😄
It's pretty interesting to see people's reaction to this, the whole mystery of who Jon's really parents are, has been itching book readers for ages. If you track all their conversation and the broken "stories" from different POV. All hints line that Rhaegar was the father and Lyanna was the mother all the time.
Or remembered that Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna, or that she's been missing for so long that it's mathematically impossible for Robert(or Ned seriously wtf???) to be the father.
The best reaction video from this series! Great work! Realistic reactions and thought processes, even if they went off the mark a little. Enjoyable to watch!
A little? Pretty much every person in this video somehow failed to realise that the kidnapped girl who got kidnapped by a kidnapper was impregnated by said kidnapper! It genuinely boggles my mind how they all could be so clueless.
I put two and two together early in the series...as Ned was too damn loyal to cheat on his wife. And the way Jon fought...it came so natural to him...like it was in his blood. There were too many signs to NOT see that coming. BUT...for a good bit...I thought Jon was a Baratheon because of his hair color. When Sam was reading the notes, scribes and books at the Citadel and decided it was IMPORTANT to get to Winterfell and find Jon....THAT'S when I REALLY knew...he was half Targaryen and the heir to the Iron Throne. I was a GOT GEEK from hell...I poured over everything without reading the books. It was the info we had ALL been waiting to hear!!
Can't believe at that point in the show people didn't put the pieces together. A)it's not Neds son, it's his sisters. B) it's not Roberts son otherwise Leanna would have begged Ned to protect him. C) which means Jon can only be Rhaegar. I remember watching this and immediately knowing he was half Stark/Targaryen and thus rightful heir. Is this how slow an American audience grasps plot lines??? Idk
People confuse me. The second I knew Jon was the baby(episodes before the reveal cause it was going to be obvious), I immediately said straight after he's the king, the stark childrens cousin and Danys nephew. How are most not getting this quickly o_O.
I don't remember if they have confirmed that rhaegar never r**ed her by this moment in the show. They both loved each other and married in secret. That literally made aegon a legitimate child
You don't need to be a super fan to understand this scene, you just need to have a halfway functioning brain. Absolutely mind-boggling how they could draw such outlandish conclusions to such a straightforward scene.
I don't get it how can their first interpretation is John is a Bratheon? And they HAVE to think as hard as they can to actually get it? are they dumb or something?
It's amazing people seem to forget that all Targaryen children were executed by Robert Baratheon except for the two that got away. That was a standing order from Robert even more than two decades later. Kill all Targaryens. Meaning if Jon Snow has to be protected from Robert he has to be Targaryen. As Robert probably would have forgiven any other reason under the sun for Jon's existence otherwise as he did love Ned's sister and would have wanted to preserve all that was left of her.
I don't get the few that thought Robert would be the father. Cause Robert loved (or was probably more just infatuated with) Lyanna. He planned on marrying her. He would have been overjoyed to have a son with the woman he wanted to marry. The only reason Jon would have needed to be protected from Robert was because he was fathered by one of Robert's enemies, the biggest among them Targaryens.
Even without that knowledge, surely that episode gave some kind of reminder of who brought Lyanna to that tower? They killed three of the Kingsguard ffs! Gee, who could the father be......
The amount of persons that added 1+1 and came up with "Applesauce" as the answer in those videos The baby can't be Robert's because then he wouldn't need Ned's protection from Robert The baby isn't Ned's because he and Leana never had an incestuous relationship 🤦🏽♀️
I am so frustrated with some of these reactors even showinh the obvious they still so slow to notice 😅😂. How can u guys concluded he is a Baratheon when Lyanna being kept away from King Baratheon and she specifically said he gonna kill the baby if he finds out 🤦🏻♀️. If the baby was his he would be celebrating
I used to scoff at the people who claim reactors are faking it, because why fake the easiest job in the world, literally just watching something you haven't seen before with a camera pointed at you? However, this compilation is pretty damning, because how the hell could you misunderstand this scene unless you don't give a single shit about the show you're reacting too, to the point where you don't retain any information about the characters in it?
Okay guys. Having a passion for storytelling that causes you to pay attention to detail is something you can be proud of and appreciate about yourself, without looking down on others or thinking them stupid because their passion for the story does not match your own. Rhegar and Lyanna are mentioned several times, sure. But we get like two short scenes in which we actually see them in the entire series, and those occasional mentions are fleeting compared to everything else going on in the show. It's "obvious" to you because you engage with storytelling in a way casual viewers don't. Good for you, don't be a jerk about it. Me, I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan, love the books and the show (final seasons notwithstanding). I even play the miniature wargame. But I'm not going to look down on more casual viewers for not getting it right away. Think about every time someone else does this to you. Maybe you aren't as in shape as you'd like to be, and other people look down on those who lack the "willpower" (aka have other priorities in their life). Maybe you aren't focusing on saving money to invest in your finances (again because becoming rich isn't your goal/priority), so people look down on you for that. Don't turn things you are good at/enjoy into a value judgement about others.
Bro, the show has made it pretty clear that Lyanna was kidnapped by Rhaegar Targaryan, the crown prince. They rebell against the Targaryans, defeat them and install Robert as king, then Ned goes off and finds his sister, guarded by three of the Kingsguard, then finds out she has given birth to a baby. Anyone who watches that and doesn't even suspect that Rhaegar is the father should be embarrassad. At least guessing one of the Kingsguard would be physically possible, if unlikely, but guessing Robert or Ned is bonkers. I've seen reactors missing important details because they were talking over the movie/show, but none of these people were doing that.

I don't think genetics work like that in GOT tbh
My kids are the 25%. Both my husband and I have brown hair and all our daughters have dirty blonde to redush blonde hair.
That and Targaryens slept with each other to keep the bloodline pure, resulting in white/blonde hair.
This also hinted about Cersei and Jaime relationship. That's why their children 100% blonde, because they're not Robert's children.
Find it even more crazy how some reactors come to the conclusion that Ned slept with his sister lmao
@@Thebiggestpapi2097Was just about to comment the same! 😂
@@Thebiggestpapi2097 I was sitting there watching Spartan and Pudgey going "come on, you're my last hope", and they veer off into incest, then stumble upon the actual answer but dismiss it in favor of incest! 😄
@@AJSai3007 Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this :)
Does everyone not remember how the entire world was waiting to have R + L = J confirmed and how much everyone freaked out at this moment? Saying it’s soooo obvious is weird because all the reactors are living the same journey we did haha. And they haven’t even had the benefit of reading massively popular fan theories over years and years!
I don't blame them for not having figured out Jon's parentage from the hints we got, but failing to figure out that the kidnapped lady was probably impregnated by the kidnapper is pretty goddamn embarrassing.
The "pure bred Stark " comment had me cracking up.
fr
Can't get no purer than your parents being siblings! 😄
There is a reason it is called "A song of ice and fire"
It's amazing how there were people who needed to see Jon's face to understand that he is Lyanna's baby Targaryen, and yet the majority of people, even seeing the transition from the baby's face to Jon's face, didn't understand that...
So n many people not paying attention and on their phones. GOT is a series that requires full attention
Miya Elizabeth is like my best girl friend, her face reaction, her processing time all match lmao
This scene really was the litmus test to see if reactors were paying attention. Unsurprisingly the vast majority were not
Forget about not getting the Targ connection.
Majority of them lack common sense but thankfully some people are smart
It's amazing how many people didn't realize who Jon's dad was when she said "protect him, if Robert finds out, he'll kill him".
Some people are saying "but Jon had brown hair so he could have been a Barratheon" well WHY WOULD ROBERT WANT TO KILL HIM IF HE'S A BARRATHEON😂 at this point in the series we knew Lyanna was with Rhagear and we knew Robert wanted all Targaryens DEAD.
There's NO reason to think this baby was anything other than Rhagear's if you were paying any attention at all
Immediately went to dont trust hannahhs channel and subscribed, i loved the couple minutes we saw here
That makes Dany his aunt. 😂😂😂😂
Perfeito! One of the best scenes in the show! Bittersweet reveled.
@2:55 she had consensual sex, not r word. Rhaegar would have been a good king
iirc, the rumor was that he'd forced her, that's what was 'known', but it wasn't actually true and it was consensual.
You are speaking from hindsight. Nobody knew then
A Baratheon?? No, Nikki, he's not a Baratheon! 🤣🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure she's knows now, lol. I have no idea how she came to that conclusion though, lol.
Yes she got teased for saying it so much after that, she laughed about it.
In a show that had a lot pf missteps in the last couple seasons this was genuinely a great reveal
The way I was screaming every time they said “Jon’s a Baratheon” 😩😩 How are they watching it and not get it that he’s Rhaegar’s son???
The burden Ned took upon himself to take Jon in and tell everyone he's the offspring of him being unloyal to his wife. For a man like Ned this must've been so damn hard to do but he did it. An amazing character.
Oh boy.....its funny how these guys are processing the revel of Jon's identity lol.
Pure bred stark got me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Watching these sometimes makes me realize how clueless so many people are.
I can’t believe how many people were surprised by this.
Why wouldn't they be?
Nevermind surprised, they didn't even understand the scene when it happened? 90% of these reactors thought this scene meant that Ned or Robert were Jon's father! 😄
I'm surprised that so many people were confused by this. This isn't complicated.
10:38 tubelight 😂
It's pretty interesting to see people's reaction to this, the whole mystery of who Jon's really parents are, has been itching book readers for ages. If you track all their conversation and the broken "stories" from different POV. All hints line that Rhaegar was the father and Lyanna was the mother all the time.
1:03 major reacts babbling about nothing through that beautiful scene that took YEARS for the reveal is a crime
Its gonna be funnier when the react to jon nailing dany as bran tells sam hes a targaryen
Seeing their reaction and their conjectures just clarifies that they didn't pay attention to the show at all.
None of these reactors remembered that Robert wanted to kill all targaryns
Or remembered that Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna, or that she's been missing for so long that it's mathematically impossible for Robert(or Ned seriously wtf???) to be the father.
The best reaction video from this series! Great work! Realistic reactions and thought processes, even if they went off the mark a little. Enjoyable to watch!
Really? A little?! They were wayyy off.
Idk
Most of these people are clueless. That’s the nice word for it. Only the Australians seem to connect that Jon is a Targaryen.
lmao it's funny how many people did not put this together despite how obvious the made by this point.
I reacted like the first dude ngl when I first saw this😭😭
pure breed starks wtfridge 😂😂😂
People confuse me. The second I knew Jon was the baby(episodes before the reveal cause it was going to be obvious), I immediately said straight after he's the king, the stark childrens cousin and Danys nephew. How are most not getting this quickly o_O.
I have a feeling jon snow was a targaryen when drogon let him touch him and didnt kill him
I don't remember if they have confirmed that rhaegar never r**ed her by this moment in the show. They both loved each other and married in secret. That literally made aegon a legitimate child
Amazing how these "reactors" who claim to watch this series still dont understand that Jon is a Targareyon. Half of them think its Roberts baby lol.
You don't need to be a super fan to understand this scene, you just need to have a halfway functioning brain. Absolutely mind-boggling how they could draw such outlandish conclusions to such a straightforward scene.
Aegon Targareyn the Sixth of his name!!!
I miss Major Reacts. His GOT reactions were the best.
What happened to Major Reacts?
@@jrcarter9175I don’t know…he just kinda disappeared.
I don't get it how can their first interpretation is John is a Bratheon? And they HAVE to think as hard as they can to actually get it? are they dumb or something?
They were in love no r word John is a targgrean
They didn't know thay yet until later
"Promise me Ned" Jon Snow is the prince that was promised. Criminal how they ended this show.
Daemon Targaryen great-great-great-great-great grandson!
Really SAD how literally every reactor is too dumb to figure out what’s going on
Shout out to HANNAH and ASH!
It's not that hard people, the clues were right there all the time, came on! Also, the second reaction, you can not be this oblivious.
3:20 Ned was never dishonorable. He died because of this. You know this person never watched the show. It just sucked he never told his wife the truth
That would have been much easier for Catelyn.
Yeah but Ned was spoken about this was his one dishonourable act cheating on his wife but he never did it.
17:03 "Why would it not be Ned's son?" "Because he would have had to 'f' her." Meaning incest? Yea, Game of Thrones would NEVER go there! LOL
Another reason why i don't watch movies and tv with others. People talk during crucial times when they should be listening.
It just hit me that Tyrion and Jon's mothers both died at child-birth. little hidden reason for the bond between those two. cool
I understood many earlier Jon Snow
was a Targaryen... so many proofs!
The amount of persons that added 1+1 and came up with "Applesauce" as the answer in those videos
The baby can't be Robert's because then he wouldn't need Ned's protection from Robert
The baby isn't Ned's because he and Leana never had an incestuous relationship
🤦🏽♀️
It's shocking how so many people don't understand how family lineage works...
Ned should have told Kat the truth!!!! She hated Jon!!!
Don't trust ladies even she is your wife😆
I knew right away he Was a targarian the son of Reagar targarian..
Eu gritei Targaryen nessa hora!!!
Why were people so confused by this? 😂
im amazed theres people so dumb they dont get it when the show is literally telling you lmao
6:35 😂
I am so frustrated with some of these reactors even showinh the obvious they still so slow to notice 😅😂. How can u guys concluded he is a Baratheon when Lyanna being kept away from King Baratheon and she specifically said he gonna kill the baby if he finds out 🤦🏻♀️. If the baby was his he would be celebrating
My reaction was “OHHHH!!!! OHHHHH! HE’S A TARGARYEN!!! He’s…. Didn’t he just… with Khaleesi?? 😳”
The last, really good episode.
Needed this video so bad
Are some of these reactions fake?? It’s hard to believe it’s that complicated.
She was not raped that was propaganda they both loved each other
