- I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some alcohol markers. BUT, not too thrilled with these bad boys by Tombow. Why? Well, watch and see exactly why.

I bought the 12 pack people palette when they launched the ABTs, paid $40 and hated them! I thought maybe I had gotten a defective set but it looks like no, they are really bad. I should have returned them. 🤦🏻♀️ I was so disappointed I never bought their products again, I have several watercolor markers I got before the ABTs that I like, but don’t love. I love the Fudenosuke Brush pens, thought, for lettering.
You did a great job at saving your drawing, despite those awful markers.

I like the grayscale and do see how the Tombow nib would be better as a brush tip (which is my preference) when doing this kind of coloring. I am not a fan of some Tombow and I think Copic is over rated. I do use Spectrum Noir and a few other types of brush markers though my favorite is Faber Castell Pitt Brush pens. They have some marvelous BIG brush pens. Thank you for sharing
Oh yes!! I have them all (the Big Brush Pitt Pens. Like ALL 🙈🙈🙈 it’s a problem). I like Spectrum Noir too! Although sadly I’ve had some inconsistent batches of those as well. Ohuhus ($1) and ArtBeeks (50 cents) are my top faves though if you ever wanted to experiment with a different brand, those are great alternatives! Thanks for your kind comments!! ❤️
@@KarenCampbellArtist I love brush pens because my preferred art is always a brush (acrylic, watercolor etc.) I will have to check out Ohuhus and Artbeeks (never heard of them) . Sometimes generics will surprise you.

I have a couple of the tombow alcohol markers and i didn't like them either. It's the nib... can't seem to get it to work for me😂. Thanks for the video. She's pretty

Karen, you probably got a dud set. I have most of the Tombow alcohol colors & they work much better than these. I will say that they do tend to become a bit dry mid-project, but I will shake them & let them sit a while & then they’re good to go.
I sure hope it was a dud set!!! I usually love Tombow!
