Angus could fall down a flight of stairs while playing the guitar and not miss a single note!
Absolutely fuckin love it 😅
It's not hard to understand him, falling down a flight of stairs when he runs around and cavorts around about the stage like that will have been looking at where is going, or what he's doing well, shaking his head so fast.
In Detroit in the late 70s we were 4th or 5th row. Angus guitar strap came of. He backed up and to the side for a guy to reattach it. Angus kept bobbing up and down. As he bobbed up and down the guitar kept going up and down…which meant the guy trying to reattach it had to Bob up and down trying to reattach the strap. It was hilarious. The look on the guys face as he couldn’t do it. Finally he did and Angus bolted back up to the front
i have seen them both with bon and brian while brian is good bon will always be my fav even made a small pilgrimage to the place he was born this summer in scotland kirrimure i think the village is called there is a statue there of bon and a few plaques that make good reading .
But Mal's rythm would keep the song going.....
RIP Bon. Brian is great but Bon will always be my favorite and this is still my favorite AC/DC song! Wish I could’ve seen Bon but ‘82 was my 1st concert
Bon Scott was one of the most charismatic frontmen EVER.,
Some of us old timers like the earlier stuff, because of Bon Scott.Great Showman👍😜
This is AC/DC at their best! One of the greatest concerts of all time is Live in Paris with Bon Scott
No other frontman puts a smile on my face like Bon Scott does. I reckon he was born with a microphone in his hand, and that voice????? Always reminds me of alley cats fighting...absolute gold!
"alley cats fighting", that's a good one.... and so true!
46 years ago and still the best oh to see Bonn doin it on the big stage
This is AC/DC. RIP Bon Scott. Saw them in concert in 1978. They opened for Aerosmith.
Angus Young is the same guitarist you have seen before. But as good as Brian Johnson is as a vocalist, Bon Scott had tons more charisma and the band seemed to rock harder in those days! This was AC/DC at their best!
Bon was fantastic but don't knock Brian too much as he continued the band all those years. This isn't a pissing match but one thing we might agree on is how Angus really was the show stopper 100%. If it were Angus that passed away all those years, could the band go on?
Bon Scott was great and I am very grateful we can still listen to him. They have also produced a tremendous amount of really hard rocking music with Brian Johnson. Every song on the Back in Black album rocks at least as hard in my opinion. They also continue to put on an amazing live show nearly fifty years later. Angus Young is still amazing.
@@davidolivier3652 100% agreed 👍
The original line up of ac/DC would they still be around I love Brian Johnson but bon is my teen years
Sure, the same guitarist. He would have been 21 or 22 years old here -- a little old to be wearing a school uniform, but not as much as now 45 years later. In the early days when he first joined his big brother's band he was literally going to rehearsals after school.
How Angus is able to never miss a chop is amazing!
I saw this tour!! It was their first American appearance in Austin Texas at The Armadillo World Headquarters. March 1977. The stage was 3 feet high and there was no barrier. I stood 4 feet from Bon and Angus while they played this song. They opened for a Canadian band called Moxy, which is who I went to see. AC/DC blew them out of the water.
I saw them in Detroit first 10 rows 4 yrs in a row, Scott's last two and Johnsons first two and Youngs guitar strap came undone and he backed off to the side and back for a guy to put the strap back on. Angus was still bobbing up and down...and the guy had to move up and down with Angus and couldn't get the strap back on. Finally he did and Angus shot back up to the front of the stage. We were so close we saw it and it was awesome.
And the first yr they were the warmup band for Aerosmith and they were better than Aerosmith
I never knew ACDC played the Armadillo. That was a good music venue.I went there a couple of times when I was in Austin.Another place I liked was, I think it was called the Boondocks, an old warehouse, off the main drag.
Here in Australia, before ACDC went international and were still a Melbourne pub band, Angus would be off the stage and playing on the patrons tables. They were wild times. We had a lot of good acts back in those days.Take a listen to Rose Tattoo with Billy Thorpe playing Goin' Down.
They blew a lot of bands out of the water when they opened for them and the rest is history.
I saw them in concert that year. I was 16. From about 5 minutes into the show the sweat was dripping off of Angus and he kept up that level of energy the whole show. We thought the school boy outfit a joke. Until he started playing. It was one of the few concerts where I didn’t sit down once.
Unparalleled for skill and energy.
The guitarist is Angus Young, his older brother Malcolm is the other guitarist. When this band started Angus was so young he was still in school, so when he got out of school he would rush to the rehearsal still in his school uniform with his school bag over his shoulder and start playing guitar in the band. Apparently some of the times they played were directly after he got out of school and he would rush to the performance still in uniform and start playing. This young teen kid in an adult hard rock band still in his school uniform, yeah the crowd loved it and that became his trademark. Oh the head banging and moves on the stage were too. Bon Scott is an amazing singer and his charisma is out of this world. The song 'Ride On' is his autobiography. His playful songs like 'Big Balls' 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' are just another level. Great work and thanks for sharing. Chris
Yes, that's Angus when he was a baby. Greatest rock band ever.
This is hard for most people to wrap their head around, but Angus has been doing this since he was a teenager, and he's nearly 70 now and yea they're still at it.
I am old enough to remember AC/DC from the beginning - they were always fun but also really talented. Everyone loved them in the 70s - and still do!!!
The backpack was for a particular purpose. You see, the first wireless remote set-up for guitar was developed by Ken Schaffer. And, guess who he first chose to try out his new Schaffer tower? That's right, Angus! The remote transmitter was a little too big to clip onto the back of his shorts. So, he used an old school satchel. In theme, & looked the part for sure.
I heard Riff Raff at a party in around 1978,instantly became a fan. They weren't that well known in US yet, until Highway to Hell album came out, they exploded here.Bon was a great front man, wish I could have seen a concert with the Bon Scott era.I did see them in Atlanta GA. in 1991 and it was hands down best concert I ever attended,22 song set,Brian has kept the guys going, they are just incredible live!
Bon was incredible! Funny you mentioned Riff Raff. I saw another reactor (DashyXD&DadReacts) react to Riff Raff a while back and they played the live version with Bon. It sounded so good and it's such a great song!
@@Ieeho98 Yes mam!Great song×!
@@Ieeho98Fun channel. Not seen that particular reaction though. I’ll have to check it out.
What an awesome performance!. First time seeing the video clip of "Rosie". Where have I been?😅😅
Love that it's Phil that did the "one, two, three, four" call :D
I love Brian's voice, but there is just something about Bon doing the vocals for the band that gives the band something extra. Bon was the best.
In 1977 December 12 Freedom Hall Louisville Kentucky I saw AC/DC open for KISS on this tour . I'm 63 now and still ROCKIN' PK
Malcolm was the heartbeat of AC/DC.
Aussie here from back in the day… absolutely loved them. National treasures even. Angus was unmissable and Bon is a legend. Together Angus and Bon brought so much humour to the band. Like a couple of kids playing around at being rockstars in the bathroom except they were consummate musicians. Angus really played the part of every school kid air guitar maestro. The most amazing thing is that Angus was able to keep that level of performance up through all the decades of his career. But Angus and Bon were the pin-up boys of the band. 🇦🇺🐨🦘
The school boy uniform is Angus' superhero outfit. Back stage they sip tea and smoke cigarettes, reading. As soon as the suit comes on, he is pumped until the end of the show. The first year, he tried dressing in drag, as a cowboy, even in a gorilla suit! Their sister said "why not just wear your old school uni? It was here sewing machine where the name of the band came from (the metal tag stating Alternative Current/Direct Current.....AC/DC)so he tried it in 1974 and it was a hit. It stuck and became his instant path to being 12 again.
_LIVEWIRE_ !
Bon Scott, the REAL AC/DC vocalist ,RIP.
That's grossly unfair. Bon was the original and a great vocalist, but Brian was equally as good.
@@jeffstevens4262Never ., no comparison.
@@CliveAdlam-yn8uzBoth are good... get over it. If you dont respect Brian you're a fair weather fan.
@@CliveAdlam-yn8uz Actually, you're right, Brian's a much better vocalist. Different class.
100 percent correct!
Seen them live 5 times, once with Bon. One of the best live bands ever.
This was Australia in the late 70's every pub on every corner had had a band bashing out covers of ACDC.
Now that's rock N roll! Bon is possessed and Angus is a machine. Love it!
Bon Scott was AC/DCs best lead vocal but not their first . Dave Evans was the original. He sang "Can i sit next to you girl " on its first release.
Angus is a force of nature. Energy for miles and miles. I've seen them four times, and his energy throughout the entire show is stunning every time.
That backpack is a tradtional leather "satchel" that kids used to carry to school. I had one myself when I started school (showing my age!) Angus had this gimmick of adopting the image of a schoolboy on stage (hence the shorts: boys traditionally wore short trousers at school up to the age of 11.) Sometimes you also even see him wearing a traditional school cap. I think he wanted to present a bizarre image that was totally counter-intuitive to the music, to add to its effect. It worked! BTW I am so glad that you chose a performance with the original vocalist and front-man, Bon Scott. He died too young, and he was truly a one-off; he was Scottish, and met the band after he moved to Australia. No disrespect to Brian Johnson who replaced him, and who is also a great vocalist, but there is only one Bon Scott, and his boots were too big for anyone to ever fill.
I saw AC/DC with Bon, twice in the 70's. By far, the best singer that they ever had.
The old ACDC with Bon Scott (RIP) had a lot of blues songs. It's worth checking out. Another real rock song from that early years is 'Let there be rock'.
Yeah, that is one of the best!
AC⚡DC, is Rock N Roll at it's finest! I hope you explore more of their songs, because I know you will enjoy their hard driving beat! And I always suggest listening to the studio version first, before watching the live performance. Their 1979 Paris show is phenomenal! I saw Bon and AC DC, 6/29/79, The Rainbow Music Hall, Denver CO. Looking forward to more reactions, Rock On!! 🤘🤘
This singer was their second singer, and yes, that is the same guitarist Angus Young. Most of the songs they do live were actually written with Bon Scott
Angus came on stage wearing a school uniform including the backpack. Its been his thing ever since. During some songs he may strip down to just the shorts. He plays and moves like this during every song. Even now, he does it and has to be pushing 70.
He only has drink coffee, tea, chocolate bars! He’s never taken a drugs ever!👍😁
Voted No.1 R&R "Frontman/ Lyricist Of All-time!!( Several Actual Votes/ Elimination Contests..Just Sayin'.. 🎤🎶🎵🎶😎👍
The backpack is actually a book bag that goes along with his school suit and hat. He dropped off the book bag a long time ago but the school suit and hat stay- at least for part of the show.
When I was in high school, everybody could do an Angus air guitar 🙂 AC/DC were just a hook factory - every song had a catchy melody that you'd remember immediately
Singer Bon Scott absolute legend.
Died just round the corner from where I live in London in 1980
As always great reaction!!!
Top man Bon Scott, had the privilege to see them in their Powerage tour of 78. So spoilt in the 70s, check out up to my neck in you, kicks ass.
It still surprises me to this day that Angus does not have CTE with all that head banging over5 decades ....Total champion.
You are correct about the guitarists school boy outfit. I had a couple albums and my buddy did as well and even though we looked at the album covers we never really noticed his outfit. Then we saw them live and it was a shock and to be honest and he didn't look very cool. Now it's accepted but we were initially confused. I saw them twice and both times with this singer, Bon Scott. Unfortunately, Bon Scott passed away which is why they changed singers.
Yes the guitarists have always been the young brothers. Angus on lead and Malcolm on rythmn.
RIP Malcolm 🤘
i love you Inna. Please keep pouring your loving vibes into this world.
Angus used to come home to practice, right after school. Thus the uniform and back pack.
I'm going to their contert this summer, I'm so excited!
The best headbanging song ever 🤘
Angus is dressed as schoolboy and the bag is an old fashioned school satchel, used to carry books etc to and from school.
The music is the energy for them they always kick ass it's allot of fun keep rocking
From the moment I heared the song (waaaaaay back in the 70s) for the first time I have been an AC/DC fan. The Bon Scott days were fantastic and when he passed away I thought it would be the end of the band, but then there was Bryan who, with his own distinct voice, made sure AC/DC would be forever.
Angus always wore a schoolboy’s uniform, including the backpack as a bit of a gimmick, I once read it that it was because of something his sister suggested but not sure if that was accurate tbh.
I also read that his inspiration for how me moved, whilst playing was Chuck Berry but again not sure if that was a direct quote.
The young family comprised of 7 siblings, one sister and 6 brothers.
Angus, lead guitar, Malcolm, rhythm guitar, George was the producer and was originally in a band called the Easybeats with Malcolm.
There is a lot more information available but would take forever to list it all.
Bon Scott was something else and definitely taken too early, his raw bluesy style was very different from Brian Johnston who replaced him after his sad death.
I was lucky enough to see both lineups and loved them both for different reasons and understand that Bon and Brian have totally different styles and that’s actually worked well for the longevity of the band.
Love it when younger generations check out bands like ac/dc i can’t think of many current entertainers that will have the longevity of bands prior to the millennium 🤔
2:50 AC/DC Live at Rivendell 😅😅😅
Nice reaction video 👍
Bon Scott started in a pop band called, the Valentines. They did songs like, "build me up buttercup"...
I miss Bon Scott's rockin Bagpipes. Angus's sister talked him into wearing a schoolboy uniform when they started out, he normally has the cap on, the school bag must have been just part of the prop for the show
Glad the og AC/DC is gettingg some love
NOW THAT WAS AC/DC !!!!!!
I remember seeing Angus using an oxygen tank on stage as he was so exhausted. He would go off into the wings and have a top up to keep him going 😂
yep thats in the acdc film....forgot what thats called.
its the let there be rock live video still have the tape but nothing to play it on now sadly@@briandoornink7597
Bon Scott was their 2nd singer (1974-1979) and the one who took them from Aussie bars to worldwide fame. He took over for Dave Evans who was the lead singer the first year 1973. Brian Johnson, their 3rd singer, took over after we lost Bon in 1980.
Angus and Malcolm Young (guitars) are the only two who are original and full time members (until Malcolm died a few years ago) They were born in Scotland (as well as Bon Scott and Cliff Williams, bass) They all moved to Australia after a harsh Scottish winter in the mid 50s. Phil Rudd on drums is the only true Aussie in the band, and even he was replaced for a few years in the 90s. Brian Johnson, their singer on River Plate, is from Newcastle England.
It was the summer of 78, we were shoehorning a V8 into a little 71 Gremlin. All of a sudden my cousin slid into the driveway in his red 74 Vette, stood up and yelled, " Hey ! Zoro, you wanna go see AD/DC in concert , NOW ? I threw the wrench down hopped in , he lit a doobie and handed me a brew. Wow good times.. Bon was the bomb and the band was KILLER.. ! Angus always wore a schoolboy outfit on stage. In 79 I was 25 yrs old.Iwas a drummer in ahard rock band Stray Bullets", I played "Freebird" for 50 mins. Badass!
It was the whole school boy look , backpack & all. His sister's idea 😅
Highly Energetic, I ❤ it 😎
He fueled up on tea and chocolate bars before every show (no drugs or alcohol).
one of my fav songs and it's nice to see someone so cute enjoying it for the first time :). Angus Young same guitarist you see today. Bon Scott was ac dc 2nd singer that they took off with...after Bon passed on Brian Johnson took over. I'm more of a Bon guy myself but I like some of the stuff they did with Brian.
his name was Bob scotty i believe ...and the guitarist is called angel young ...they are from Austria i believe
checkin in ....ya all them albums with Bon all pure house party and bon fire {no pun } gold
Great song great live music
yes, its the same old Angus :P to this day he still plays with his schoolboy outfit , a cap and maybe his backpack (although i havent seen the backpack 2 years ago) :P
Yes Angus Young. The other guitarist is his brother Malcom Young.
The backpack is a wireless unit to transmit the signal from guitar to amplifier. No need for an instrument cable. That's how he runs free around the stage.
Thank you for doing an AC DC reaction with Bon Scott in it quite refreshing.
Pffff, the whole video I was like "is that a bike handle in frame?" Before I realized it was the microphone 😂
Yes, Angus Young and brother Malcolm Young formed the band.
Year I was born ..but I grew up with these guys 🔥🔥🔥
He drinks a special tea. Angus is amazing! Top 5 guitarist in the world IMHO.
Real live performance just as I saw them in 1976 as a 17 year in a small venue in my home town in the UK. Bon Scot was the original singer who died, hence the release of the album 'Back in Black' when the and decided to continue after recruiting Brian Johnson (only English bloke in the band - they were all Australian). Knew they would be huge. 47 years on from first seeing them, I am still a huge fan.
The back pack was actually a 1960's style school bag and was part of his "school boy" stage presence.
No sir. Wireless unit to transmit signal from guitar to amp. No instrument cable.
The backpack was part of his on-stage persona as "The Bad Schoolboy" along with the shorts socks etc
Angus is Angus , and has been since the seventies ! ❤
THAT IS JUST PURE FILTHY ROCK AND ROLL
When you are that good ! It's a part of you.
I was 11 when this song came out. Angus dressed like an Austrailian school boy, hence the over the shoulder schatel.
That was all the originals, saw them in dayton ohio, hara arena in 78, blew me away.
wow! you're so lucky to have seen them live!
Angus is dressed like proper school boy.
Great reaction to a legendary Rock n Roll band. Check out the song "it's a long wat to the top". Bon Scott sings and plays Bagpipes! It's awesome. Keep on rocking 🎸 🎸 yep, same guitarist Angus Young 🎸 🎉❤
For those who don’t know, or didn’t hear. 19 stone for Rosie.
Oh a stone is 14 pounds.
There was a whole lot of Rosie.
The great Angus Young, lead guiter!!!
Bon Scott was the driving force behind the band switching to a harder rock than when they had their original singer Dave Evans (Girl I Want To Sit Next To You was the biggest song). Bon actually went to a pub and saw Brian Johnson singing with his former band. He mentioned to the other members that if anything happened to him that Brian would be a great singer for the band. That's how they even looked at Brian instead of shutting down the band.
WoW memory lane god i feel old.
Angus Young is guitarist. Born March 1955. He was 22 here. Live at River Plate he was 54.
The man Mr Bon Scott🔥
Brian Is great no question But Bon is on another level
🔥🔥💪🏻bon scott legend
The lead guitarist is ANGUS YOUNG. HIS BROTHER, MALCOLM YOUNG, WITH HIS BROTHER BEGAN ACDC, IN THE 70S!!!
I was 17 in 1977
RIP the best ACDC singer Bon Scott RIP Malcom Young always missed The Bon Scott era better songs and Rocked harder not all songs sounded alike
Bon was known at the VD clinic on a first name basis, women were quite taken with him, like this young lady is.
