Missed this one. As much as an early warm spring day ride is awesome, nothing beats a day like this one. Fall IS the best with that golden relaxed look and feel of the late season. Your narration is always interesting. Love your music too. Thanks much!
Great video. Just the kind of uplifting viewing I need. Here in Arizona the riding is really getting good. It will be 80 next Tuesday. The surrounding mountains have a dusting of snow, but the roads are still clear, and dry. The deserts are warm, and inviting for a ride. Fall, and winter riding is my favorite time of the year here.
That's what I understand. I know several retirees who live in Idaho during the summer and head south to Arizona for the winter. Glad you enjoyed the video. Ride safe.
Thanks for taking me along. I am enjoying my R1150R also. No brake problems here. The only brake issues is with my 2002 K1200LTE where I have alternating red lights on the dash of the ABS and another red light. Brakes work fine, but don't know how exactly to reset those lights. I might just have to put a piece of black electrical tape over them!!! Russell D.
Not sure what might be story with your lights on the K1200. You might give the electricals a reboot by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and see what happens when you reconnect. I do enjoy my R1150R. Went for a ride a week ago and started a new video. Now I just need to sit down and get it finished. Thanks for watching.
Hi Wheels, Your ride today was a whimsical and therapeutic journey through Idaho. All of us somewhat cautious motorcyclists have been taking similar rides in our own neighborhoods as we recognize the new rules governing our behavior. Like you, I'm looking forward to more wide ranging rides when we breakout of winter's hold and the pandemic's lockdown on us. Stay safe.
Yep. We've already seen several snow storms where I live so I am just about done riding for the year. I need to sneak down to the gas station for fill ups and some fuel treatment to winterize the bikes soon. Thanks for watching.
Hi, I’m in Adelaide, South Australia and ride an R1200RTP (ex police). 12/2006. I look up you tube touring bike videos to revisit places I have been when I lived in the USA and Canada. I miss it pretty bad, covered about 25k on the western half of the USA and managed to drive across Canada from Vancouver to Toronto. North America has wonderful scenery throughout. Some Sunday mornings I ride through the Adelaide hills which have lots of twisties to my favourite place to have breakfast with my friends. Thanks for the video, Marty.
Much to see in North America. Wish I had more time to visit places in the US and Canada that I've never been to. Someday. Good to hear from a rider in Australia. Ride safe and thanks for watching.
I love riding the R1150R and enjoy making the videos. 5K. That's a big trip. I can't wait to do another big journey on my motorcycle. It's been a while. This coming summer. That's the plan. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the valuable feed back on your ABS removal .My bike is still fitted with ABS brakes if it does give trouble I will remove it, same model and year as yours. Regards Red.
Best of luck with the ABS. I'm sure you stand a good shot of not having any problems if you routinely bleed the lines according to BMW's recommendations. The stopping power with the ABS system is super strong. Thanks for watching and posting the comment.
Looks like your section of the world doesn't get quite the leaf problem we get here in PA. I know I always have to put the kickstand down earlier than I'd like because the leaves cover the roads and it's too slick to ride safely. Thanks for sharing!
I hadn't thought of that. I imagine that's an issue up and down the east coast where there are many large leafy trees. Thanks for watching and posting the comment.
Sure do appreciate your videos......😏like my riding....on occasions....thanks...03 r1150r.....barndominiums sound perfect ....had those ideas....but already in a box...😏
Like your 2020 riding season, mine was for the same reasons, lack-luster to say the least. Do you plan to attend the BMWMOA in Great Falls, MT next summer? (your videos are about to convince me to find an 'R' bike, instead of my F GS twin)
I will look into the BMWMOA event. The ride from Boise to Great Falls would be great. Maybe a big a loop over to the Beartooth highway then Glacier Park on the home.
Been on and off my Roadster. Always struck by how responsive and soulful it is after trying something else. Hey, how come you don't even have the "thumbnail"-screen on the bike? I find it does a decent job of reducing wind blast whilst hardly being visible.
To be honest, I removed my windscreen for a better view through the handlebars with my chest mounted GoPro. So for the videos. I put the windscreen back on for longer and faster rides for the wind protection. But around town and for short rides going without the windscreen is nice. Thanks for watching.
My older BMW has over 50K miles on the odometer. I found the newer R1150R on Craigslist at a very low price. I think the owner wasn't riding it and wanted it out of his garage so I snapped it up. It came with my favorite custom seat, Sargent, and all of the touring goodies that I would have added. My initial thought was to do short rides on the older bike and go on long distance tours with the newer, lower mileage BMW. So that was my thinking. Eventually the bikes may be combined into one as parts wear out and break. We'll see. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for taking us around Emmett. It’s still on my radar as far as places to retire go. Feels like going back in time 50 years or so...
I enjoy riding in the rural areas around Boise. Emmett included. Thanks for watching and posting the comment.

Couldn't agree more! Fall is my favorite time of year. Then spring.

Thanks for the beautiful ride through farm country, I’ll check out barndominiums, sounds like a blast! See you next time!👍
You bet. Hoping to post another video soon. Need to make time to edit.
I love watching your videos.I have a 2003 R1150R. Awesome machine. Did a 5k mile trip in August on that bike.Your bike sounds amazing!

Thanks. You have some of the best photography. Also, whomever hasn't riden a boxer engineer won't get it.😁👍
Thanks 👍. That is the truth.
I don't think I've ever posted a comment here on TH-cam.
These are the best and most wholesome videos I've seen. Keep up the good work (;
Thanks, will do! Thanks for the positive feedback.

That was a nice little ride out, your roads are so quiet.
Yes they are. I think most of the traffic on these roads is comprised of the people who live in the area. The road is tucked away against the hills.
nice country, nice colors from the threes
Thanks for watching.

great video
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the visit to Wheel Stories.

Sometimes no music and just the sound of the engine is good too.
True. My bikes are rather quiet but I should do an entire video without music sometime. Just give it a shot. Thanks for the comment.
Great video, what fuel mileage do you tend to average on rides on this R1150R?
I think the bike tends to get around 45 to 48 miles per gallon on average,
Did the same brake mod on my 03....😏...great riding bike fer sure....bought with 27k...39+k so far.....clutch upgrade when the slave cyl went south...
I haven't had clutch problems yet but will eventually I'm sure. That's to be expected once you reach some high miles. Thanks for watching.

@@WheelStories I see. Of course the view is less restricted that way. Your narrative is the best part so no need to shut up at any point :D
Thanks
Why do you have two R1150R bikes?

First comment. Yesss
Excellent. Thanks for watching Wheel Stories.
