- The motorcycle adventure continues in the Idaho desert. After climbing the volcanic butte Initial Point in part one of the adventure, Wheel Stories heads for the Snake River Canyon and rides the scenic backroads near the Owyhee mountains.

Yes, the roads were empty. Nice cool weather in late fall. Perfect day for a ride. I road the Sportster last weekend in 40 degree weather. I was very cold when I pulled into the garage. Hope to post some HD Roadster content soon.

Thanks for sharing WS, were in lock down over hear and its too bloody cold to go anywhere, or maybe i'm getting soft in my old age, what you call potato chips we call crisps, i find that if i pull my face mask up under my glasses they don't fog up as bad,when you rode down the hill and that car nearly pulled out i tried to dodge it sat on my couch,stay safe look forward to the next one.
Hopefully the lock downs will end soon with the coming spring riding weather. Crisps, biscuits, pudding. Different meanings from the US. I didn't have a good mask with me on the ride. I've had better luck with masks that hug the nose. As always, thanks for watching.

I ride an R1150R over here in Scotland where it looks a lot colder and wetter than you had in this video right now! Our mountains and moors looks just as bleak (and beautiful) as your deserts though. Thanks for the video.

Have you walked the Cleo's Ferry Nature Trail at Walters Ferry? Its worth the time. Swan Falls is a good ride. Owyhee dam is also a good scenic ride and almost always you see lots of wildlife. Thanks for the giving me winter time ride envy. ;-)
Not yet! I will be sure to check out the trail. I enjoy the ride to Owyhee dam. Reminds me of Arizona and Nevada. But it's only about 90 minutes from Boise.

Thank you for the video. A little over 2 years ago I had a family reunion in Boise and I explored the same roads I see here so that is nice to see them again. I spent a half day at the dam, got snacks at the same place and parked where you ended your video and have a Rock on my desk from likely within 50 feet of where you ended the video. Small world. I have my speed triple in the shop right now and it looks like it will be months before I see it again.... so I started to shop around and found a R850R in very good shape, and I thought WOW! I could put some adventure tires on that and just hit some dirt roads I always wanted to explore... nothing too hard core... I checked out a Stelvio a few years back and still look for them when I think about it. How did the R1150R do on just some gravel with rocks thrown in? Asking for a friend. - All the best!
The GS model is the way to go if you're looking to go off road into the gravel and dirt. The R1150R is best suited for pavement. I wouldn't try to cover many miles on a trail. Thanks for watching.

Could be the hair. Haven't cut it in long time. Not shaving much either. Working from home rather than the office due to COVID. Getting on the bike and heading into the desert is a good escape.
