Hello from San Diego California,
Thank you for your dedication.
I have a 2004 R1150 R and hoping to put many miles on it this year.
Good luck on your rides. Be safe and thanks for watching.
Now, when the weather does not spoil, each such movie is needed 👍
True story. Thanks.
What a beautiful day! Nice addition with the drone. Seeing Hidden Springs from above really showed the place. Thanks for the ride.
The drone is fun. Can't wait to take it on some long rides. The Sawtooths maybe for scenic shots from above.
Having been laid up for the last six months with a bad back injury my Roadster has been in the garage. I have been living vicariously through your videos. Just hearing the sound of that engine is therapeutic!
Having ridden many years in the winter I would suggest something like Gerbings heated gear. The Roadster has a huge alternator that just pumps out power.👍
Bummer. I have to be careful with my back. I had a disk removed many years ago, laminectomy, and the back nags at me when I stop swimming and doing my core exercises. I pay for my long Sunday rides with a stiff back on Monday. Sometimes my wife has to pull my boots off for me. Get well soon. Thanks for watching.
loving the R259 Mr. Wheel! Thanks for another crisp insight to your world.
My pleasure!
That first ride of the season is always magical. Thanks for taking us along.
My pleasure. Thanks for tuning in to Wheel Stories. More rides to come.
Nice drone footage! Thanks for another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Wheels, Good to see you out and about again especially since you have a couple new toys. Love your part of the world. Winter is also ebbing here in the Midwest. Ride well.
Thanks, you too!
I’ve been waiting for your latest video. Idaho is so gorgeous and I plan to return after over 20 years. Thanks from NW Louisiana.
Excellent. There is much to Idaho in terms geography and scenery. I love it here.
Another awesome story. Thanks.👍
Glad you enjoyed it
👍 What a pleasant ride, and beautiful landscapes, thank a lot for this video ! ( Greetings from Montpellier southern France ✌! )
Many thanks!
The drone was a good addition!
I'm liking the drone. Just hope I can avoid crashing it or losing it on upcoming rides.
Gorgeous scenery 👌 thank you for sharing. Don't miss the snow so much since I moved south, but I do love to look at the hills and valley views. Ride safe and enjoy your day 🌞. This gal heading out to some twisties, you got my day started off right. No drone, but memories are well worth the adventure 👍🏍😎
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and enjoy the twisties. Ride safe.
That black 1150 is the classiest looking bike. Mid-50's on my faired RT with a big windshield and heated grips isn't daunting. But out there riding with no wind protection? You're a much tougher guy than I am. Thanks for all of your videos. They're the best. Have fun with the drone.
Will do. Thanks for watching my videos. Glad you enjoy them.
Nice to see you again WS, the weather is still cold over hear, 6 degrees on this Sunday and snow forecast later in the week, Brrr, wouldn't mind a drone my self, look forward to the next video.
Nice weather will arrive soon, I imagine. Thanks for watching.
Cool video,, nice drone
Thanks 👍
Good drone work.
Thanks 👍
I was disappointed to not make it out in February this year. My wife and I got sick early in the month and I missed the warm stretch we had. I was finally able to make the first ride of the season in March. Not too far off pace, I guess. Thanks for sharing!!
Good riding weather is just about here. Thanks for watching.
Hey great stuff as always. Such great content for me to consider paths I’ve yet to ride!
Great to hear!
Am curious to know of you feel a bit of a wobble on the bike when changing gears.. especially high rev changes from 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th. Thank you.
Not much. Just the normal side to side rumble of the boxer twin engine. I don't really notice much though.
u need a GS or RT w/ some wind protection, heated seat and grips:) love your drone addition and looking forward to more videos...hope the reservoir fills up some this spring w/ snow melt...
Good call! One of these days.
The drone is a nice addition to the classic on-board videos, more of them are welcome.
More to come! Thanks for watching.
that was great footage from your DJ mini. I'd like to see more as you get more comfortable with it. It really looks great - cinematic actually. The resolution is super! Thanks for sharing...Oh btw, my 1150 got stolen while in STL last month after 16 yrs of being with me. Now I gotta find another to replace her.
Sorry to hear about the motorcycle. That is terrible. Keep your eyes peeled on the classifieds. Decent condition R1150Rs and Rocksters pop up from time to time. Thanks for watching.
Well, I took a chance with the R1150R headlight wiring. I place the yellow wire on the top tab, the brown wire on the starboard side, and the white wire on the port side. I did change out the bulb to an LED H4 which drops in perfectly. I also changed out the small parking light bulb to an LED too. I do have an H4 headlight socket on order so I don't have to plug in all 3 wires separately. I am just trying to get it back to stock. All works now just fine....the low beam, the high beam and then momentary headlight flash.....Thank you for your great videos.....>Russell D.
Excellent. Good to hear.
Im
Glad yr well. Its been while you had an upload.
Thanks. I have some videos to edit but been kind of lazy this winter. The drone got me excited and back at the computer. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video, wonderful scenery. I have the same bike as you and noticed that you have got handle bar risers. I’ve resisted adding these because of the potential strain it could put on hydraulic cables and electric wiring. May I ask what has been your experience of adding them?
The handle bar risers worked okay on my 2003 Black BMW. I don't know that they'd work on my other BMW, the silver model. The cabling is a bit tighter on that bike.
what are your gopro setting 30, 60hz? Also do you edit your timeline at 30hz when putting together your video?
Lately I've been shooting at 60 fps for better slo-mo footage but I've also done a lot of shooting at 30 fps. The 60 fps footage looks smooth when you slow it down to half speed. I normally edit all of my videos at 30 fps in the timeline.
All videos are better with drone shots!
The drone is a lot of fun. Doesn't take too much effort to stop and grab some shots. I wish it had an automated follow feature so I could ride and let the drone grab the shots independent of the controller. Thanks for watching.
Me to buddy . , 🇨🇦 I have a r . K . An f bike , finally rain here today .😇🛵🛵🛵
Good riding out on the bikes. Thanks for watching.
I need a bit of help.....on my newly acquired 2002 BMW R1150R, I noticed I had no high beam. When I removed the headlamp assembly, I noticed a previous owner had installed a modulator and took our the wires of the original plug. I want to remove the modulator and return it to stock. It has a brown wire which is obviously a ground, a white wire and a yellow wire. What I need to know is where each of those goes on the headlamp itself. I don't want to accidentally wire it up wrong. Can you help by telling me where they go? Thanks......Russell D.
I'm not sure about the wiring for the headlight. You might do a Google search for BMW R1150R Wiring Diagram. I wouldn't be surprised if you find the schematic.
@@WheelStories I’ve tried to search. Maybe if you could look inside your headlight plug an tell me which color wire is at the top and which color wire is on the port side (towards the shifter) and which color is on the starboard side (brakes). I dont want to accidentally place a power wire (yellow and white) on the ground (brown). Thanks. There are only those 3 wires that goes into the plug that goes in on the back of the main headlight bulb (H4). The wiring diagrams don’t show exactly where on the plug they go
Why are you riding around with your right blinker on?
Inattentive brain fart
You are carrying a lot more cornering speed these days.
