Custom cape swap for Batman Arkham Asylum figure by Mcfarlane Toys.
Cape purchased on eBay, easy cape mod makes the figure look so much more dramatic.
Careful not cut the prongs in back or front of the cowl.
Use E6000 gel glue - it’s made for cloth but works well on other materials. It will not expand or change color.

Ahh! I felt the same way.... I really like the replacement-- took me a while to find a good one - I tried making it but was never happy with my own .... this one was just right -
Cool. The one thing that I would've did different is how you cut the cowl. It looks like it's hovering over the cape just a lil bit. I would've left some of the sculpted cape around the shoulders and cowl, then just cut it and have it taper down into a v shape midway down the back of the figure. You still did a pretty good job 👍
I'm thinking of seeing if the arms from the flashpoint batman will fit on this figure. It would give him double jointed elbows. A head swap of dark knights death metal Batman would look pretty cool on this figure.
I’m redoing the cowl set for the same reason... looks like the glue didn’t take properly .. I will have to clamp it down.. the cape is designed for Mezco figures - but I really like the way it falls in the back .. lots of stuff you can do... this was just to show the cape install .... have fun working your figure

Nice but I don't know if I would be so brave to cut off the cape the figure came with but it does look much cooler when you're positioning it as if it's being blown in the wind.
It’s not for everyone - but cutting the cape makes the figure lighter and makes space for the fabric ... it’s a who,et lot of fun ...
I hve the same figure & I haven't started to get the cape off bcuz I'd rather hve a cloth goods cape. Looks better too. Thanks for this info video of how to go abt it removing the molded cape off 👍

I've been buying capes from that seller for a long time. They did make a cape just for that figure. I bought one for my figure.

@@InkDropCustoms I frequently check his listings and the listings of one other seller who has capes. They have made a cape for most of the Mcfarlane figures and the quality is always top notch.

This is probably the most out there thing but, I have a childhood Batman figure (a basic one) that I would like to install a cape like this one to to make it look better, would you guys recommend doing so?
Any cape can be an improvement…. Each figure is different so each cape installs differently..all comes down to personal choice
