Custom tailored cape for Batman figures by Mcfarlane.
Using pleather and adding wires. One technique is to use Pellon fabric glue to make a seam with out stitches . All scallops with wire have a 1/4 in seam. The more wires the better the dynamics. However the first scalop close the top never carries a wire. The pricess is the same for all the capes, they only vary in the amount of wires and cape attachment.
Cost of material if you already have the rotary cutter and sewing machine is about $25 dollars.
Sharing techniques to customize current action figures by painting or sculpting what is needed. Producing a figure the is either improved or just creating one from parts of other figures.

Great video. How are the wires held into the seam pockets? Are they folded at the bottom or do they just hold in?
All wires are anchored… before I anchored them into the next now i use one wire to encompass to splines - much more stable and less work. Now i taper off the seam close to end so as not to distort the scallop point…
This is an old video my new videos show a different technique
Thanks for watching
@@InkDropCustoms ah cool thank you, which of your videos shows this method? Thanks again :)

These capes look really beautiful. Fantastic job as always. Do you cut a hole for the head?
All depends on the figure …some don’t require it… only one in the video is cut out - the others are held by the head itself

Hi enjoy all your tutorial, keep up the good work. I have a question for you,can I buy 1 or 2 capes from you?
Hello
Yes , capes are up for sale made to order..
Let me know what style…
Hello, the Arkham Asylum Batman version but in a dark blue. Then three wire in black for Robert Patterson,The Batman version figure.
@@jeffreygarcia8669 for Arkham Batman I have a dark blue pleather….. it’s a large cape
For The Batman I have a textured pleather and a matte finish no texture…

Thanks,will do.

Nice work. Are you open to selling some? I really would like one for my Year Two and Death Metal Batman.
Yes, I can certainly sell a few. I have not found light blue pleather for Year 2 Batman… Death Metal Batman will look good in large cape--
Large cape - 10 wires is $40
Large cape - 6 wires is $30
$8 shipping

@@InkDropCustoms ok. where do I buy from?
Order direct from .. I don’t have a product page… PayPal only
I’ll send an invoice
This is my email Photobella@mac.com
How do you make the collar for the neck?
Depends on the figure
Some just go under the cowl
Other glue under the chest armor
The collar is a separate piece of material. It can be hand sewn or glued to the cape. Depending on the figure and cape style you may have to glue the collar to the neck.. i use stretch pleather… its very time consuming, various attempts before successfully getting the collar correct
@InkDropCustoms did you use the wire and sew it?
what kind of fabric it is?
This stretch pleather…. Cosplay material
I can't find pleatheeer
Joanne’s Fabrics….that where I get my materials
Good video but I feel like it would be helpful if you put timestamps for English and Spanish
Noted!
This is sn old format i no longer use
thanks for watching
I dropped that format…too many complaints no matter how i tried to modify it… so i simplified by producing it in one language
@InkDropCustoms would you ever consider remastering this video?
@@InkDropCustoms
Would you ever make English only version ?
Oh yes, i have a current video in cape making entirely in English…this video has flaws i correct in my new video
How much? Lol
Just sharing, I don’t sell capes
What A Joke..
> Thus you can $ave money, time, & are far better off just buying like A dozen - already made - capes on eBay or whatever. Good to know. SMH.
12x $25 adds up real fast … I made 6 for less than that
You didn't show to us how you make a more wider cape you fail the first one so I will hit the dislike button
It’s the same pattern just longer and wider…
I’ll make another … working another cape now …
I’ll do better next time
