It’s funny because the the famous covert art in the back of the package, he’s of relative size to the figure but Batman isn’t wearing the colors of his suit from that set and band doesn’t have a muscle shirt, but in the ACTUAL INFAMOUS PAGE WHERE BANE BREAKS Bats, Bats is wearing the same suit in the figures color but Bane is much smaller, love the 2 pack tho, never knew the OG McFarlane Bane was the rebirth version since they didn’t brand from which comic he came from kind of like what they did with Mr freeze
Too bad the rips in the outfit weren’t sculpted. Todd definitely would get some cool reuse out of a mold like that. Maybe even other characters besides Batman. Can Bane fit in the Tumbler? 😂 I know he definitely doesn’t
My pre order finally came in. I wasnt too impressed seeing it online. But The set looks way better in person. The price dont bother me and the bats looks good to me. Its great.
The grey of this color really brings out the sculpt, however i wish the used the blue from the first one with the scupted logo. Im doing a custom with mine
I would've preferred a smaller Bane like in interior art, but I'm not sure if they'd still charge it as megafig. Either way, I'm liking this set a lot.
@@dHuntersReviews I bought this on eBay and I feel a little guilty because it wasn’t cheap but it’s on its way. 75 with free shipping. The guy gave me a discount. I like this set.
@@dHuntersReviews I have seen more eBay sellers scalping it for up to as much as 150. It’s a shame McFarlane would stop over producing some lines driving actual values down.
Glad you think so highly of this set. I would not be nearly that generous. From what I can tell, many are so enamored with the concept of this set and simply having something that depicts "that scene" that they are really giving a pass to things that would take much more heat, if this was simply, for example, a generic "Battle-Damaged Batman".
That scene is fantastic Love that Bane Want one without the blue shading Battle damaged Batman is awesome Cloth wired cape is great Wish you he battle damaged was sculpted Face a little weird but cool
@@dHuntersReviews In my book, we'd have "awesome" if a) the shading around the eyes weren't so heavy and illogical (name a condition under which you have such heavy, symmetrical shadows around a person's eyes and the rest of their head with zero shadow/shading); b) the torn areas cast shadows both inside and outside the tears in the fabric (same light source issue as the eyes); c) there was some hint of injury in the torn areas - at least a scratch or something. As it is, it's like a clean, amateur custom from someone who didn't think it through fully - not professional artists who had all the source materials to reference and considerable time to do better. Same with the incredibly lazy and nonsensical application of the blue on Bane. That said, I saw a customizer take these two, address some of those very things and truly produce "awesome", like these truly could have been. But that's McFarlane 90% of the time or more.
Ugh, I’m still waiting on mine. I ordered it literally the second it dropped on MTS and I still have no update on it. I feel like pretty much everyone has got theirs from elsewhere by now.
I was late to the pre orders and had to pre order thru GameStop. Probably gonna have to wait until the actual retail release date to get it which is July 10😑. Glad to see people getting these so early
I wish that Todd had stuck with one blue/grey color combo for all of his Knightfall Batman figures. The blue on the first release is more true to the comics than tis one, which is more 70'2. But, the grey on the first release is too light compared to the comics, this darker grey is more in line with it, imo. Maybe it's this face that is throwing me off- the black around the eyes. Still a great set. I have mine pre-ordered. Once again, a great review.
Yea I agree, not sure how to feel about the Batman figure . I feel like it’s not classic knightfall something is off about it and I think it’s the blue color.
Id like them to release this exact bane with a green tube, no blue paint, and the original bane head. Hated the tanks on banes back with the original release. Kinda want a hybrid of the two banes combined.
The price on this was already questionable due to the reuse on both figures but that Batman looks awful. The joints aren't worth the update and the damaged parts should be sculpted rather than just painted.. And it should match the non-batgle damaged version.. And no alternate head? Poor.. Only useful part is the cloth wired cape.. The Bane is good (minus the blue streaks) but that's mostly because the original Bane had that tank in his back.. Nonetheless this Bane will look amazing with the Mafex classic Batman.. 👍
@fop2766 I don't think there's anything wrong with being picky when wanting to buy figures, considering the whole thing is if they appeal to your liking or not
Agree on many points. Need to see it for real, but the blue on Bane is non-sensical in its application, and the Batman has multiple issues (all of which you mentioned.) I especially can't figure out is why the colors don't match the non battle-damaged fig. Such a bizarre choice.
That blue paint on bane has to go and if I'm feeling adventurous enough I might try and remove the "battle damage" from Batman as well... cell shading seems to have become McFarlane's new side eye!

I'm still really disappointed with the regular Knightfall Batman release because of the super pale gray they chose to use, along with the too dark of a blue as well. Then they come out with a new version that has the perfect color scheme of darker gray and lighter blue, and it's only available in a 2-pack, and it's battle damaged to boot. Very irritating. I'd be a lot more stoked for this new 2-pack if the original KF Batman figure had the same coloring as this one. In fact the old KF figure would probably be my favorite Batman if they hadn't screwed his suit colors.

Mcfarlane probably changed the colors on Batman so collectors couldn’t do a head swap with the single Blue & Grey Batman figure.
They should be consistent
Supposed to be the same suit
Mcfarlane has to do at least one thing to keep something from being accurate, in scale, etc.
They could definitely improve here. I’m not very picky, but it’s noticeable.

Original head is inaccurate to that era
I’d want what you want with the new head. As a single Megafig
New head would be even better.
I’m just going to remove the blue lining and I think that will make a difference since your eyes tend to focus on them.
