  • This is the fourth video in a series of five in which you will learn how to make an animated and interactive infographic with Adobe Animate and Adobe Illustrator CC.
    In the previous video’s, we’ve animated some of the rotating and moving objects.
    Now, we’ll animate arrows along a motion path. There’s a very easy, but quite hidden trick to do this.

    Best video! How animate more than one arrow on one path like in your video prieview? Thanks!

      @RobdeWinterCC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! You can copy the timeline layers inside the symbol where you animated along the path, and then offset them a bit (let them start later)

      @@RobdeWinterCC Thanks! I did as you said, at the same time it turns out the moment (the end of the animation) when there are completely no arrows on the way. Is it possible to run the same animation with a time delay, so that they overlap each other?

      @@skygidro2032 Ah yes, you're right. I did something similar, but a little different. Maybe you can best download the exercise files from this page:
      helpx.adobe.com/nl/animate/how-to/animated-infographic.html
      Unzip the file animated-infographic_video5.zip and open the file animated-infographic.fla. This is the end result with double arrows.
      You can double click the arrow (its almost entirely behind the electricity icon, but you can still double click on it there).
      No you see two timelines. I split them in two. So the first arrow is starting half way, the other one is starting at the beginning.
      This is one of the (quick) solutions, but I guess there are also a few other handy solutions when it becomes more complex (have to thing about that for a moment ;-)

      Hey Jess, is it possible that you didn’t have an internet connection? Because you need one to test the file (Animate loads some external JavaScripts)

    how did you create a line path for the motion tween in the arrow? thanks

    • @bjnslc
      @bjnslc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They mention that the path line comes from Illustrator, so presumably that line is a vector that they copied and pasted later to replace the automatic straight line path.

    Yes but you didn't show how you moved the arrows to the back of the flame and the plug icon. You only have two layers, the background and the objects that move. So do you have a third layer? Plus, what if you want to make this animation into an animated gif, can you do that?

    • @RobdeWinterCC
      @RobdeWinterCC 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Antonio, actually this works just like Adobe Illustrator (arrange objects within a layer). You can first select the object you want to arrange, then right click and select the option you like from the Arrange menu. I hope this works for you ;)

      @@RobdeWinterCC What about making the animation into an animated gif? Can you do that?

    • @RobdeWinterCC
      @RobdeWinterCC 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Antonio Robles hey Antonio, unfortunately it is not possible with this infographic, because all of the looping , independent animations within Movieclip symbols and the interactive buttons. You can make an animated gif of these kinds of animations, but you have to make an animation within the main timeline, or maybe use Graphic symbols. But the problem then is that it’s more difficult to Animate all objects with a slightly different speed (like the arrows, windmill and cloud).

    Hi There!
    It doesn't work for me, it doesn't follow the path, and when I copy the illustrator path and then replace it at the end it says it won't paste it because it isn't a symbol

    • @lazilyproductive6951
      @lazilyproductive6951 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has to be a symbol, press F8 to make it one. Choose Graphics symbol, name it and then tween it. You can use a Movie Clip, but it won’t animate on the stage.

    Hello, can you help me? No matter how many times I double click the 2nd arrow it won't go into its own symbol timeline. Is there a way to get to the 2nd arrow's symbol timeline from the menu bar above?

    • @beeweetea

      Double click your arrow and convert it to symbol first then Right click on first keyframe and click Motion Tween then drag the end of timeline to 6 seconds. Copy the path from your main timeline the double click into the arrow and paste it there and follow the rest of the video. I retried like 7 times till I got it lol

    I’m probably in the wrong place for this, but i’m working on a project in Animate where I need a circular motion (like the circulating arrows in the background), set at a tilted angle to represent depth. Think of like a wheel rotating, being viewed at an angle where the part of the spokes that are closer to the camera are thicker, and the ones further away are smaller. I’m in an actionscript 3.0 document and i’ve tried using the 3D tools on a standard circle to adjust the axis’ into the correct orientation, but when a motion tween is applied (which is the only type it will allow to be applied) it only rotates on the z axis (like a coin being spun). I spent upwards of 4 hours digging for solutions and tutorials but nothing has given me what I need. The ONLY way i’ve found to work around this is using the 3D tools to set it in place and then painstakingly moving it frame by frame, but I know there has to be a way of automating this.
