It has been ages since I've touched this animation program. I remember struggling with trying to maintain a sense of depth through parallaxing by moving entire layers manually. Eventually I ended up relying on After Effects for camera stuff. So much has changed since the Flash days. Very useful tutorial. Makes me want to get back into this sometime.

You know, I just wanna point out that if you work in a lower canvas like 854x480, or even 640x360, your can get better smooth and faster performance in Adobe Animate CC like better smooth previews in swf files, better playback times, and maybe even reduce less file size in the FLA. And they can always be upscaled into whatever high quality like 1080p, 1440p, or even 4K (2160p).

    • @TipTut

Hi! Ive been binge-watching your videos its awesome! I was wondering about the camera depth, Is there anyway to create a bluring effect as the layer comes closer to the camera?

    • @TipTut

Yes, you can either apply a filter to the layer in the properties panel, or do the same on a movie clip.

HI! Maybe this is trivial, but I'm looking to a way to zoom a lot and dont get my project a mess, like I need to zoom into the eye and then animate stuff around, but everything now is so big and I cant zoom too much out with the normal zoom ( not camera ) is there a way to zoom with the camera but reset the program zoom?
I could create the animation into a symbol but after that it would be difficult to let the face matches with the other face I'm zooming in, what I'm missing? if someone can hep me

I know this is a bit old but whenever I try to export the animation as mp4 (with the program Swivel) and I'm using the camera tool, the animation fails to convert. I have done some searching and cant find much on this problem, so i was wondering if you had any advice. Thank you

    Hello, Mr. Tip.
I tried to use the camera tool on my animation, when I was done, I exported it to swf and converted it into mp4 using Swivel but it didn't work.
I double-checked to see if my file is corrupted but when I deleted the camera layer, it converted it to mp4 and it worked.
Swivel probably can't convert swfs with camera tools. Is there an another way I could convert my animation???

You can export direct to mp4 from animate. File > export video
