I made your crispy bites yesterday, and they were so good my visitors ate them all up….even though they don’t agree with me being Carnivore. Thank you your videos are soo helpful❤
A super-easy Spanish recipe basically has one extra step of mixing the fat and the juices rendered in cooking with some fresh lemon juice and bringing them all to a boil, and then pouring over the fried chunks. Hubby and I both LOVED it!
@@KetogenicWoman the lemon sauce also makes the dish taste lighter - and makes it easier for the body to break down the fat (for those of us not yet fully fat-adapted and/or lacking the pancreatic enzymes to break it down efficiently).
Oh my word!! I finally found pork belly today!! It was $1.99 a pound and it weighs 13 pounds! A whole side! I was afraid to buy it because I am on a tight budget and thought 'what if I don't like it?!' Well I just trusted you and took it home and I'm sooooo glad I did! This is fabulous! Thank you so much Anita for another wonderful recipe!❤🥳
I paid $4.99/pound recently and it felt like a bargain! But it actually is compared to ground beef, which has gone up to at least $6.99/lb. these days.
Since becoming a carnivore, my air fryer has become my preferred cooking appliance! I just found pork belly at a small local grocery store and I am so excited. Thank you for all your great recipes.
Hi Anita... at age 79, I finally bought some pork belly at Costco and today I am ready to cook it... I have never had pork belly in my long life... yet... but I really have wanted to try it. I think I need a lot more fat in my diet if I want to get this weight off... So Anita... now I have made and tasted the chunky pork belly as you showed and I have to say, I don't think I will ever buy bacon again as this is so much better! I cooked my chunks for 10 minutes at 390 in my Air fryer and carefully flipped each piece over and did another 10 minutes and they are perfect! So, thank you very much, I will definitely be buying Pork Belly again. I have always had joint pain after eating bacon, so this way I won't get whatever is in bacon that gives me problems.
I actually found sliced skin on pork belly for around $6 per lb (US). I cooked it in the air fryer yesterday with BBQ rub... GREAT flavor but the skin wasn't exactly crisp because I didn't dry it out with salt like I should have because I couldn't see the skin until I opened the package... Lesson learned.... they were fabulous even though they weren't all crispy.
Love pork belly! I've tried all kinds of seasonings on them and so far my favorite is Chinese 5 Spice. I don't put it on in the beginning tho ... I put it on about halfway through cooking. MMMMMMMM 😋
Thank you for this recipe! 🙂 I brought some pork rashers (I'm in Australia) and I had no idea what to do with them, as I have never cooked pork before. I did overcook them but they were still really good! I'll be trying it again very soon. Thanks again. Your utubes are great 🥰
You are my favorite chef for my carnivore diet! You have so many great recipes! I would buy your Keto Carnivore cookbook if you ever decide to make one! Thank you for all your hard work!
Congrats on your 9 lb weight loss for July. I love watching your videos. Janet Greta loves you and has mentioned you quite a lot. I love her videos, also. You both are very informative and inspiring and don’t gab a lot. You accomplish a lot on your videos without being too lengthy. Love you both!
I cooked pork belly for the first time about a week ago after watching this video. Now I am addicted! I will be coking them to have on hand foe when i am having leaner cuts, like pork tenderloin.
I’m so excited to try this! I recently pan fried the fat leftover from a pork shoulder that I had cooked in the crock pot and it was delicious but I am sure this will be much better. I’m carnivore now for a while and I love it and am looking for new food ideas. I love pork when it’s done right but I’m kinda over pork chops right now. Being carnivore is very expensive so I’m looking for the best values I can find. I do eat a lot of tri tip and ribeyes and burger patties currently but I need some salty, crispy pork! Also, I absolutely cannot eat ANY bacon because even the nitrate free ones actually contain celery salt or celery juice which are chock-full of naturally occurring nitrates or whatever and they are an absolutely horrible migraine trigger. I miss bacon so much but it’s absolutely not worth the 1-2 day migraine afterwards. You are a gem and I’m definitely subscribing! Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us!
You know the pork belly can be just as good as bacon when you make it crispy like this! Thanks so much for your comments! Here where I live brisket is one of the cheaper cuts of meat and it is also super tasty when you fry it up the next few days as leftovers. Fry with saved bacon grease until it's dark and crispy, it's like meat candy!
I've never heard of pork belly before this, but now I want some!!! Thanks for the awesome video! A first time viewer here but I'll be wataching many more videos in the future. :) :) :)
Thank you for this awesome recipe! I’ve never had pork belly in my life and cooking it in the air fryer made it so easy and tasty. Also, I appreciate you showing adjustments for thin vs thick. The frozen package I got from the supermarket butcher had both. Addictive!
What an awesome recipe, I'm gonna try it tonight I think I have all I need at home!! 😊 plus I absolutely love the presentation and I think you're doing a really good job and your explanation is great...
Delicious, quick and easy…my 3 favorite things in a recipe! First video I found had a 10 minute prep and 60 minute cook time! Yikes! Glad I found this one, thank you!!
I’m cooking these today. I found pork belly at 4.99 so I grabbed it. I have learned so much from you the last couple years. Also, I ordered eLMNT under your link. 😅
Well, after being on carnivore for 6 weeks and watching this video, I just ordered an air fryer through your link. Everyone seems to love them, and I’m thinking it’ll help keep my Florida kitchen cooler this swarmy summer, as well as cutting down on kitchen grease.
Oh it does both those things! During heat waves it's too hot to cook outside and too hot to use the stove, this thing is a lifesaver! And yes, way less grease as well.
We buy our pork belly in a slab from our butcher . We slice one half of the pork belly in thick slices and one half into chunks for burnt ends. The burnt ends I make in the Ninja air fryer. The slices we cook outdoors on an open fire (weather permitting). Either way we just season with salt and pepper. Very yummy.
I just love these! So happy to have found this video... Thank you so much for sharing! I subscribed and will be watching all your post. Thank you again! I am new to Keto and this is a big help....... take care
I’m new to cooking pork belly so I appreciate this good video! I’m on a treatment plan of beef and butter to heal my illness. I hope I can incorporate this pork in a few weeks. My WF store has no antibiotic no gmo fed pork. Been keto almost 5yrs but Lion style carnivore now for the foreseeable future to heal. No black pepper for me either. : ) ok thank you 🙏🏼
I just tried this with some thicker, but probably still thin(if that makes sense). Addictive! I got mine for $4.99/pound at Costco. There’s a lot of grease at the bottom. Has anyone ever used this for anything? Thanks Anita! Hopefully the move process is going well
We bought a huge whole pork belly side at Cosco. I tried to cut in score it like your great first recipe but for some reason, maybe it was just too big and fatty, It didn't work well. I just ended up cutting it into slices about 3/8 thick and 5" long, and then making strips long way out of that. I call it belly jellies because they look like jelly worms. It worked great though and so I take a package and grill on my Ninja Foodi grill for 12 minutes......can't beat well cooked pork belly!!!!!!
I was certain the answer would be yes but surprisingly no I don't have one, yet this is a staple! My very next 'What I eat in a day video' is going to have a darned Ninja steak!
Just made close to 2 lbs of these in the same machine. Came out great! Thanks for the great recipe. Could have done it for a little less time (I think I did close to 25 minutes). I had those Costco size pieces.
I just watched this video awhile back, and finally got some pork belly from the store. It wasn’t in slices, so I sliced it into chip slices the best I could. All I can say is it was a BIG mistake. 😒 I could barely stop myself from scarfing down the finished product. 😂 One question, how do you store the leftovers (yes, there were actually some leftovers)?
I used to have a heck of a time finding and suddenly the last year or so my local grocery stores are carrying it now. Costco always has it and same with any butcher. Just keep asking for it at your local store's butcher counter and maybe they will start selling it. The only other name I've seen is side pork.
Hi, I love your videos and planning to buy that ninja air fryer. One issue is, I can't find it anywhere if I can save the grease. I use it for cooking. Second, here in the USA too many complains about Amazon sending refurbished, when the buyers asking for brand new one and stop working after a year. Can you please tell me your experience and how long do you have it ? Thank you
I've had mine for 2 years now and use it almost daily. I wonder if those buyers didn't read carefully because in my experience Amazon says they are refurbished right in the title. Or maybe they bought from a 3rd party seller, so many sellers on Amazon besides Amazon. Anyways, I'm super happy with mine, if it ever breaks down I'll buy it again. Here's my review on it just in case you want more info! th-cam.com/video/i8bNM64IDBU/w-d-xo.html
I have a question. Is pork belly "naturally" salty?? like bacon? or not. I noticed you added salt and pepper, so I was just wondering, because most people wouldn't add salt to bacon since it's already very salty.
@@KetogenicWoman Thanks so much. I am truly enjoying your video's and I too will be starting the carnivore way of life soon. I'm just now finishing up a few veggies I already have in my fridge, but I really want to give this a go and see how I do.
does the fat collect in a different tray at the bottom? is it easy to remove and clean? I have the stainless cuisinart and looking to see if I need to change/ upgrade- thanks
Yes, I cook my pork belly chunks or other meat in the air fryer basket while the fat collects in the main pan underneath. Then it's easy to pour it off after wards into a jar. Here is my Ninja 5 in 1 review: th-cam.com/video/i8bNM64IDBU/w-d-xo.html
So the plugin one is the hot water kettle. The other 2 are thermal carafes. At the time of this video my Mom was still alive and living here in an inlaw suite and so I would fill one carafe for her and another for the upstairs people! I think at least 2 of the teens were still here as well, we went through a lot of coffee!
Yes, pretty much the same thing. I like the big chunks so I generally cut my own and also it is way cheaper to cut your own. They charge a lot for those strips!
Keep your eye on Amazon. Especially with black Friday around the corner. You could probably get a great deal on a reasonably priced model. The one in this video is quite expensive and I would probably not pay that much. I have a very small one by a company called Farberware. I have had it for years and it does the job just fine. It is not a grill combo, but I do my grilling outside. I hope you can find a way to get an air fryer sometime soon.
@@KetogenicWoman I have never seen chicken skin. Oh, they sell beef bones for broth. The whole beef shank is $6.00 they cut it on the saw right in front of you! The sliced pork belly is only $1.00 More than the price per pound of the whole slab. Price is never more than $4.99/lb. and as low as $3.50/lb on sale, for the slab. But the bacon chips you made in 7 minutes was remarkable! I am going next Sunday. And I want more beef fingers. It made over 2 litres of broth! Chicken feet are $2.59/pound when drum sticks are $1.29/pound. Shows how prized the feet are. I feed them raw to Mariposa. My chi. She needs the natural glucosamine and chondroitin they provide plus collagen, fat, protein in perfect balance. And the Chinese markets a sell the thinly sliced beef that you oven dried into beef crisps. I will buy some, too. Lovely sharing, Glad
@@KetogenicWoman better than the $80.00 the holistic vet charged for 60 collagen capsules…again! This week, I am adding ox tail to her diet. And chia as a great source of omega-3 only 1/8 tsp due to her tiny size. And she loves🐖crispy pig skin! And pork belly. Today’s dinner air fried 🐂🥓bacon crumbles hamburger on BBBBE bread with mustard. Forget Mariposa, I CAN’T WAIT!
@@KetogenicWoman My Chinese store sells extra, extra lean ground pork for $2.29/pound. Great for making home made sausages.I am always on the lookout for new spice blends to keep the taste buds guessing!🐖 And 🐓🍗drum sticks are usually $1.29/pound🍗 always cheaper $$$ shopping there! At $1.29/pound the drums are cheaper than buying soup bones…🐓although 🐓soup carcasses are 2 🐓🐓or 3 🐓🐓🐓for $1.00
ooo when I find pork belly with skin I save it for a baked version with crispy skin! th-cam.com/video/qd7btMY-AR8/w-d-xo.html Or you could cut it off to make your own pork rinds. You could still do these pork belly bites but make much smaller pieces as the skin will be chewy.
I like the second one......looks much crisper and delish Hug 4 Teddy 💙🐶 P.s Glad it doesn't taste like bacon and happy yoi made this vid.....I have a new snack now -)

Curiosity. I need to know what you use all of those carafes for.
Hello im going to try your recipe also what is your salt pepper ratio thank you
1 tbsp white pepper to 3 tbsp salt.
@ thank you I tried the recipe it was delicious but I think I overcooked by a few minutes I'll try again
"SCHMOOSH"......a very under used cooking term used by home cooks to mean "to mix thoroughly in a loving way"! LOL!😂❤
Love it, you get me! 😍
Yum 😋 I am getting hungry just watching this 👍
Hope you enjoy😍
What model or size is your ninja foodie grill?
It is the Ninja 5 in one model. I use it daily and it's the easiest to clean of all the various air fryers/grills I've had.
@@KetogenicWoman thank you!
Is that the same as side pork that comes in strips?
Yes, pretty much the same thing. I like the big chunks so I generally cut my own and also it is way cheaper to cut your own. They charge a lot for those strips!
@ I don’t have an air fryer, they aren’t that good fried in a pan or baked in an oven.
We don't have an airfryer...😢
Keep your eye on Amazon. Especially with black Friday around the corner. You could probably get a great deal on a reasonably priced model. The one in this video is quite expensive and I would probably not pay that much. I have a very small one by a company called Farberware. I have had it for years and it does the job just fine. It is not a grill combo, but I do my grilling outside. I hope you can find a way to get an air fryer sometime soon.
What is the pork belly called at Costco?
At my Costco they call it pork belly!
Okay. Thank you!😊
Love it!
Just a word of caution... feeding that to your dog can cause pancreatitis. As a vet I don't recommend it.
This is an old video. I do now know that dogs should not have cooked fat. Thanks for educating people!
Chinese markets always sell pork belly with the skin on!🐖🐖🐖
And they sell pork skin separately…. About 5 pounds for $5.00🐖🐖🐖🥓🥓🥓
Stay safe😷

They know a good thing when they see it! I'd love to find a bag of pork skin! And chicken skin too!
Lovely sharing,
Glad
@@gladysobrien1055 ok I'm definitely heading over to T&T this week! I will see if my Chi's will eat the chicken feet, great idea!
At $1.29/pound the drums are cheaper than buying soup bones…🐓although 🐓soup carcasses are 2 🐓🐓or 3 🐓🐓🐓for $1.00
What do you do with the rendered fat?
You can save it in a jar and use it for cooking and frying
What if your pork belly has skin?
ooo when I find pork belly with skin I save it for a baked version with crispy skin! th-cam.com/video/qd7btMY-AR8/w-d-xo.html Or you could cut it off to make your own pork rinds. You could still do these pork belly bites but make much smaller pieces as the skin will be chewy.
@@KetogenicWoman Thanks. I did it in the airfryer, in one piece. Turned out really well!
I like the second one......looks much crisper and delish

Yes, they are super crispy! Enjoy!
