Getting a ton of suggestions basically saying use Daredevil instead of Wolverine so I’ll mention it here. Priority is the concern for Galactus with wolverine. I’m not a galactus player so hopefully it makes more sense for those that do play him.
Update: Shuri into Goblin, then Galactus, no longer works because of the Shuri nerf. I understand this video was made before the nerf, of course. This was a great video!
19:13 : both of them make sense. Sunspot is soaked power to feed a later Knull. Lizard is a tool to fight for priority and win over a Cosmo or an Aero.
Great video as always man. I've been using a Galactus ramp deck but with Leech instead of Dr Octopus, Knull and Death since the last weeks of the last season and the results have been great: I reached Galactic for the first time since I started playing in January; I could have gone all the way up to Infinite but sadly I didn't have enough time the last two days to do a final push.
Just got the 6k for Galactus yesterday as a F2P player (already owned Knull and most of the other Pool 3s). So the timing on this video is perfect! Thank you
I find that I win a lot of games with Galactus but the cube return rate is much lower than most other competitive decks because your big play is always before the last turn and people leave before you win big cubes.
Very helpful, thanks! I didn't even think about using green and hob goblin, but that's actually a really smart idea. Btw, I use Galactus with Nimrod and I can only recommend :D
I use Cloak in my Turn 6 Galactus deck. Another benefit of him, even when you don't need it to move trash out of a lane, is that sometimes your opponent will use him to move cards out of the Galactus lane. Reducing their power there.
I've been playing a deck with Negative, Knull, Galactus and Jane Foster. It's actually pretty consistent because you can draw Negative as late as turn 4 and as long as you have Jane in hand, you usually have enough power to swing a turn 6 win.
Been playing Galactus a lot and it’s a great card. I completely agree that it’s okay to just leave the games you don’t have Galactus or you don’t have a big enough Knull. While powerful, I have found you have to be pretty patient playing this deck because locations, players that counter you, not getting the draws, etc. can all disrupt your WR quite a bit.
@@rojinraj I’m probably a conservative Galactus player. Imo the idea SNAP opportunity is when you play Electro T3, Doc Oc T4, then SNAP prior to playing finishing your Galactus play on T5 (assuming they have more than 2 power) already in that Lane AND if you ideally have KNULL (if you also have Death that’s a bonus). You want to reveal last on T6 and out power them. Alternative is if you have Shang Chi and Maximus/Death in hand an you think they are going to drop big cards. In my experience, it’s hard/rare to win without Galactus, he’s the win condition. And this deck is very telegraphed and I start running into issues with it around ranks 60-70+. I’m thrilled with 2 cubes, occasional 4 cubes and pretty rare for 8. Very fun deck to play though - hope this helps!
@@MattGoesSplat man I am stuck between snapping before electro or after octopus. If I snap before electro my stupid octopus would pull their debri, and if I snap after octopus they retreat for one cube. Am I too greedy to ask for 2 cubes each game?
@@rojinraj In some cases maybe. Electro often screams Galactus. Snapping before Doc could work. While you get bad beats (Debrii pull) from time to time, Snapping is probably correct if you T5 Galactus and strong finish potential T6. I’ve actually swapped off of Galactus for now, with the current meta, Galactus, Sandman, etc. are really popular - at least that’s what I’m seeing. Good luck out there.
@@MattGoesSplat yeah after the last ota update I am facing more Galactus games than Shuri. It’s crazy how Shuri kept Galactus in check when leader lost his job. Now that Shuri also lost her job. Galactus is free to reign the meta again.
I run Cosmo (in case I end up having priority) to protect Death on turn 6, Shang Chi in case I don't have priority to kill their big dudes (+ Death to win the lane)
I run Adam Warlock to draw Galactus. Works wonders with Yellowjacket (0/2) & Hood (-2 in another lane, then drop the 1/6 demon to the Adam Warlock lane) in the early game. Also really like Cloak to free up a lane for Galactus, e.g., after your opponent plays Debrii or any of the Goblins, or when locations screw you (there are many that adds cards automatically: Central Park, Eternity Range, Monster Island, Savage Land, Shadowland, X-Mansion)
Unless I missed something scanning through; there's no mention of the Valkyrie variant. Essentially giving up Prio and using Sabertooth (played and destroyed beforehand), Death, and Valkyrie on the last turn. Love the amount of work you've put into this and the deep analysis though. Awesome stuff!
Thanos is a great way to use Galactus, because you have an extra ramp element, and secondary win conditions. Not to mention the Space Stone allowing you to move a card. Another deck I used to use looked like a Shuri/Zero deck right up until you played Galactus. Zero -> Lizard -> Electro -> Shuri -> Galactus. You can usually find a lane where a 4-Power Gala isn't going to give you prio.
Yeah the space stone nerf is actually a buff in a Thanos Galactus deck, because it's a neat way to remove something like a squirrel or a rock without the opponent suspecting.
The sunspot and lizard versions are for holding priority to beat a disruptive card and as a second win condition by turning into a weird/bad electro ramp deck. It's easier to win with a soaking sunspot, lizard, ebony maw and then doing Doc Oc into shang or something similar when galactus isnt drawn.
I imagine sunspot and lizard are there so you can have priority when playing galactus? To get around Cosmo/Debrii/Goblin. Maybe something like Ebony Maw as well could be included.
Excellent guide, can we get one for thanos after the nerfs. Haven't found to many guides on the deck, which is understandable as not everyone has thanos. But I feel like I'm not playing the deck as well as I can

Genuine question, are Galactus decks good against bots? I would imagine so if playing into a lane where they're just ahead, then making the big plays But against human opponents wouldn't it just be gaining 2 cube from opp leaving or that 4/8 cube coin toss if opponent has some counterplay
One thing you didn't mention is to play on only one lane, leaving 2 lanes open so at least it is harder to snipe Galactus, having cloak is important to clear out squirrel from central park or debrii. While saving for Knull, one variant of Galactus deck I really like is Valk cos it rely less on early game play or betting on your opponent playing something big to buff Knull. After Galactus, your win con is to have priority and win with something like sabertooth or antman since your opponent is likely to fill up the lane too. and ofc your opponent can win with an ongoing card... Death isn't necessary cos most of the time she wont be free. She is mostly a 2-3 cost with my experience. Also don't expect my opponent to play a lot of cards to feed to Death and Knull.
Agree that Death is just optional, but I really like the backdoor DeathWave angles you can present. A big turn 6 point slam like Destroyer + Death can win without Galactus, especially if Wave disrupts your opponent's plan

If you're not series3 completed, Galactus might be easier to build a deck rather than Thanos, however its up to you. You should choose the one you want to play. However, if you are trying to climb up the ladder with Galactus deck, I really don't recommend to purchase him. I hit infinite with 4 different types of Galactus deck (all of them is my original) for 4 seasons, however it's quite difficult to get 8 cubes from the opponent, when the opponent knows you're running a Galactus deck. Traditional Galactus ramp decks are sooo much predictable, and can't give you much cubes. You sometime get 8 cubes win, however most people retreats when they don't have a counter. In my experience, Galactus decks which the opponent can easily sence Galactus is super weak. It's important to build a deck could hide Galactus and bait out the opponents snap. DareDevil, Wolverine, Cloak are the examples of cards helps the opponent to know that you're Galactus. To gain cubes, it's important to build a hybrid deck. Personally I’m waiting for Knull to drop. I’m having fun with the Nimrod version instead. I can definitely feel that it is weaker, but can’t justify spending 3k on a card when I know it is dropping soon.
I got Galactus and Knull a week or two ago, and was thinking it was gonna be a very good deck. Honestly. It's not. Everyone and their mom knows what to look out for at this point, so the element of surprise is loooong gone. At this point it basically requires perfect draws, and your opponent to be an idiot.
I don’t like Wolverine, getting priority with wolverine can be really bad after galactusing. Now, I’ve been using a deck list that replaces it with Daredevil and might I say that feels really good. Sure it’s “waisted” potential if I wave into galactus, but if I play Electro then daredevil gives quite a bit of info. Also Galactus+Destroyer (which destroys Galactus)+Death= 27 Power
what is a minions can you stop using that word lol, i think you should refer to them as cards not minions, like knull is to cool the be called a minion
I don’t know, I went from 70-96 in the last 2 weeks almost exclusively with a Galactus deck. The only reason I think I didn’t hit infinite last season was because I messed around with a couple of other decks and went from 86 down to 82. Only started climbing again once I went back to the Galactus deck.
it's actually really good in that it has a very straight forward snapping strategy. if you don't draw glactus + ramp, you lose one cube (unless you are against a turn 1 snap andy, in which case it might be 2. if you draw galactus and have ramp, you snap. and you almost invariably win at least 2 cubes. and a lot of times, more times than you think, you end up against people who are too proud to retreat after galactus goes off, or they think you don't have the power to beat them when your deck is literally designed around winning a single lane. If you are ever in an 8 cube situation, it will be in your favor. If you ever lose more than 2 cubes while playing galactus, you aren't good at piloting the deck. it is great for climbing consistently.
Getting a ton of suggestions basically saying use Daredevil instead of Wolverine so I’ll mention it here.
Priority is the concern for Galactus with wolverine. I’m not a galactus player so hopefully it makes more sense for those that do play him.

Yep, same here! I feel like you really need Knull to let Galactus shine, but I won't spend Tokens on a card that is going to drop soon
@@SalciinThis video inspired me to try another shot at it. Knull for Leech. Going to try it out.
@@MPerMinute Good luck with that! I might try out some other cards as well
I got Galactus and Knull a week or two ago, and was thinking it was gonna be a very good deck. Honestly. It's not. Everyone and their mom knows what to look out for at this point, so the element of surprise is loooong gone. At this point it basically requires perfect draws, and your opponent to be an idiot.
Love❤
I don’t like Wolverine, getting priority with wolverine can be really bad after galactusing.
Now, I’ve been using a deck list that replaces it with Daredevil and might I say that feels really good. Sure it’s “waisted” potential if I wave into galactus, but if I play Electro then daredevil gives quite a bit of info.
Also Galactus+Destroyer (which destroys Galactus)+Death= 27 Power
Yeah daredevil seems perfectly fine as well
These videos were due way much better. If you show a game play when you talking?
Wolverine gives you priority, which loses you the game. Never understood Wolverine in these decks. You just lose to Shang chi if you have priority.
I don't have galactus, so I guess I haven't really noticed that happening when I was researching, but yeah could happen
@@EducatedCollinsSnap dont have and yet make a guide lol
ur weird if u play galactus.
Health? Lol
what is a minions can you stop using that word lol, i think you should refer to them as cards not minions, like knull is to cool the be called a minion
Oh it comes from hearthstone time and other card games. It just transfer over. Sorry it’s been bothering you.
Galactus is pretty bad deck. It's fun but not consistent
@@TheTXSaint what deck did you use?

it's actually really good in that it has a very straight forward snapping strategy. if you don't draw glactus + ramp, you lose one cube (unless you are against a turn 1 snap andy, in which case it might be 2. if you draw galactus and have ramp, you snap. and you almost invariably win at least 2 cubes. and a lot of times, more times than you think, you end up against people who are too proud to retreat after galactus goes off, or they think you don't have the power to beat them when your deck is literally designed around winning a single lane. If you are ever in an 8 cube situation, it will be in your favor. If you ever lose more than 2 cubes while playing galactus, you aren't good at piloting the deck. it is great for climbing consistently.
