Im still using mine and it’s one of the older ones. I did get an updated crucible and the guys at extractcraft did maintenance on it once for me. Actually using it right now but I always use regular and not turbo and I forgot how to start the turbo. I was trying to click it twice, forgot you had to hold it down. These machines have great value. Mine has had hundreds of uses!
Always great to hear! For turbo mode, press and hold the button for 4 seconds, then let go. It will flash back twice, then start up. That will be turbo mode. Generally it should take between 2-3 hours to finish a full crucible on turbo mode. There will still be the safety cutoff after 2 hours, so you'll need to start it again after that and monitor it as it gets low.
The pump turns on very little, and the process is only about 2.5 hours. The vacuum runs for about 1minute or so in the beginning then only kicks on periodically for 10 seconds or so every 10-20 minutes.

I am curious about switching modes. If I wanted to start a crucible in one mode, and finish it with the other, is it recommended that I let the machine cool down and remove alcohol between modes? Is it okay to switch modes when you would normally reset the 120 min safety mode?
This will allow you to extract concentrate (oil/wax) from plant matter with an alcohol wash. It will also allow you to winterize existing concentrates (EG: BHO, this removes fats and lipids) if you dilute your concentrate into 200 proof alcohol, freeze, then pass through a filter (double coffee etc.) Once the lipids are removed via frozen filtering you can then use this machine to boil off the alcohol and reclaim leaving you with winterized/absolute shatter. For each gram of winterized output add a couple drops of terpens and heat then add peg400 (or 300/400/600 mix) a few drops at the time while stirring until the desired consistency.

OMG. DOES IT MAKE THAT SOUND THE WHOLE TIME? My Rottie runs from the vacuum!! She'd lose her mind.
Once it hits the 100% vacuum, it will stop, however, every now and then,it will kick on to keep the 100 % vacuum.

as long as you don't remove the vacuum it should be ok.
