Fantastic narration to go along with a great looking battlefield and a hard fought victory (for who I'm not so sure). Oh yes, and some awesome video work.
I'm still in shock that Kevin (Col. Handsome) was a Mahdi and not in the fort with the Highlanders. But you did need all 3 of the Chuckleheads banded together in the fight. sure were a lot of Imperial troops.
Another spectacular production from Chucklehead Studios (TM) filmed on location in the Sudan! Because the film (entitled "Sudanese Dawn") was funded by a local oligarch, all the actors were required to speak their lines in Sudanese, hence the overdubbed but hilarious narration in English. Of note is that one important scene in the movie was cut. In it, the Mahdi rides up on a white horse and tells the assembled British Army that his people will take London in one hundred years. The British respond with uproarious laughter. Thanks much to Walt, Kevin, Mike, Jim and Film auteur Bill Molyneaux for running the very fun event. Great to meet Bret, Nick, Dennis (and his stand-in, Jim) and see wargame stalwarts Roxanne and Neal again. Doug PS There are no current plans for any of the actors to set up an autograph booth at next Historicon.
glad to see another great battle put on by the Chuckleheads!
