Definitely subscribed! Thanks for sharing this with us. I remember that there was a "⛰Mountain🏔" type battle set. I vaguely remember in from the 70's JC Penny's Christmas Catalog and the Sears Wish Book. Those were some really iconic toys. I remember that I always wanted one of them, but I had already been bought so many of the Mego Superheroes action figures that the Mountain playset was not happening. Being able to see these playsets opened and set up is a real treat to see. Ironic how kids back then had these sets, and the later kids had the same Army Men except they were on a Playstation Game, while our Army Men were in our imaginations! I miss those days!
It's interesting to see what they kept through the years. About 1960, my Alamo set used the outside accessories. My Fort Apache set did not have the indoor accessories, and all the figures were different; as was the building. I wonder why they kept changing things? Both of my sets used hard plastic ladders (single pole). And I have no idea how I obtained them (this set came out the year I was born), but I think I have the crawling man with the raised knife, plus some others (brown figure with bow, etc.). And I think the buckboard!
I had a fort apache set in the 50s for Christmas did not have a lot of what is shown here. But did have two figures one was General George Custer the other was Sitting Bull. My brother got a wagon train set that Christmas
My brother and I had Fort Apache in the 60s, went with Johnny west doll. Made of cardboard. I think the date is about 2 decades off. You say this set is from the early 50s I don’t think plastic became common until the mid 60s. Thanks for the video.
I have some of these figs --- orginal's mostly dog chewed, but have found replacements at toy-soldiers shows and ebay. I got mine in ?? 1953 ?? when I was 6 or 7.
Wow! Just saw your vid on the Alamo set and I see this one too!! Yep,.. I had this set too as a kid!! Hahaha! So flipping cool!!! Just noticed a short clip of the Sears Heritage Set you have too. Did you collect everything I had as a kid?? How about the original G.I. Joe? Some of the outfits, chopper, jeep or tank?
I found a knock-off set like this for $10.oo at a Flea Market last year. The figures were bad, but the Fort and weapons sprue were worth it. The horses weren't able to stand. This game box was an import copy.
Check out the Roy Rogers Western Town playset that I got from the same childhood owner here….show Roy Rogers some love too! th-cam.com/video/1VRovsf-0V8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0uBv_SQ-D9iSDj6f

Very cool! Excellent looking set, thank you for sharing.
A choice example from the prodigious output of Toy King Louis Marx!
My dad must have owned this set because I remember playing with these as a kid in the late 90's/early 2000's, good memories
I too grew up in the 90s and very early 00s, oh the memories. After 2001 life went down hill unfortunately.

@@ronprillaman8580 Yes, many of these same poses would have been available up until 1955/56.
Just wicked Cool ! Just found your channel , was wondering if you've done one on the Guns of Navarone play set and the Battle of the Bulge play set. ?
Yes, I have several Navarone playset videos. Thanks for watching!
