Great to see you back. I picked up the 58 degree wide sole in the Fall, & was very impressed. ood feel, and best of all I can keep the flight down as needed.
I fully agree! I built a pair of these wedges (52* narrower sole, bent to 53* loft, and 58* with the wider sole). I play these wedges along with my Maltby TS1IM irons as well as a TS3 48* gap wedge and they have performed well for me in all conditions over the past 9+ months. I still slightly prefer my Edison 2.0 wedges, but the differences in performance are generally very slight, and the Maltby wedges do everything well to very well, and are very versatile.
Nice review. I am currently trying to decide if I want to replace my old 56° Maltby wedge with a 54° and 58° for this year. And these are on my short list.
On the black ones they wouldn't bend them upright at all because of the finish. I need my clubs bent 4 degrees upright so they looked great but i couldn't buy them.
They were ridiculously hard to bend for sure. I managed a degree on those black ones but was afraid to push it past that. These are more friendly, but still hard to bend.
Best wedges I've ever used. Stuck some KBS 610 125gr shafts in them. They flight, bite, and have fantastic turf interaction.

Always appreciate your reviews! I just picked up a 54 wide sole. I can’t wait to build it and test it out!! Thank you for the reviews!!

They look good. Great to see you getting healthy again.

Have been waiting for this! Thank you
Cleaner looking design
Thanks for this
Interesting that in both trials you launched the 54* wedge higher than the 58*.
I would attribute that to user error!
Hi there, I am interested in getting a set of irons made , I know my specs. Would you be able to build and ship oversees to New Zealnd ?
Sorry, I'm not building clubs right now. The Golfworks will build clubs, and they are reasonable. I would consider contacting them
Golfworks show these as forged 8620 Carbon steel fyi
Thanks for pointing that out Rick. Perhaps being Form forged causes them to feel a bit harder than the TSW, which go through the 5 step process.

Are you also gonna test the ts3 thats just arrived?
I hope to, but I'm not sure when. I have the KE4 Max to do next.
