Can yall please educate me on the CVT issues? My mom has a 2019 Nissan Rogue SL ... does that car have a CVT? What's the controversy with the CVT engine? I know nothing lol, but i like the car a lot. I still have my 2005 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SE
@@Jenn_80 CVT is a type of transmission. Its main advantage is that its smooth and very efficient on gas. On the first iterations of the CVT (2007-2012) they were not reliable (like most new technology). However now the went a long way and are as reliable as other transmissions but still are way more efficient on gas. The 2019 Rogue has the newer CVT transmission, so don’t worry about it, just try to change transmission oil every 40k miles. The 2005 Maxima does not have a CVT transmission. It has a conventional transmission, so no worries there as well.

Most cars now have CVTs. Include Toyota and Honda. Why everyone is hating the CVTs? They are pretty reliable now
