MR Jawarhar lal Nehru ,Indira Gandhi ,Rajeev Gandhi & Nar Simha Rao all were non Hindi speaking Prime ministers with the difference that they knew Hindi well so there is no basis in the allegations of Kumar Swami. Also it conveys that the states which are opposing Hindi are actually enemy of their people as in absence of Knowledge their leaders will be handicapped for lodging their claims to the post.
Where is the question of Hindi domination.Sonia Gandhi knows English well ,then why she has to do communication in Hindi ?Because she wants to connect with maximum numbers of people .So any politician whosoever wishes to bid for prime ministe post ,will have to acquire proficiency in Hindi.Whereas we ,the lesser mortals all are after English as its proficiency is required in the jobs in India as well as abroad.

The Cultural difference which happened because South India was united by Vijayanagara (karnata) empire and halted Islamic invasion for 300 years. 300 years is a big time for any cultural change. This is the reason South Indian languages have more than 65% Sanskrit words while Hindi is 90% Urdu. If you read into the history of the Southern Karnataka Emperors you will understand we are all one race. For your information the first Indo Islamic war happened in the year 739 CE. The war took place between umayyad Caliphate (Arab Caliphate) and the Karnataka Chalukya Emperor Vikramaditya II in Gujarat. Chalukya emperors were so powerful that they surrounded the invading army and killed them mercilessly. Umayyad Caliphat was ruling from Morocco to Sindh region at that time. The defeat under the hands of Chalukya was so devastating that the Arabs were flushed out of Sindh region which eventually led to the fall of the Arab emperor. Islamic rulers never attempted to enter India for the next 200 years. When Alauddin Khalji attacked India, every kingdom fell. It was only the Hoysala Emperors who rebuilt the empire and declared independence again. Within few years, the empire was back. It was the only Hindu Kingdom left in the entire India. The last ruler of the Hoysala Kingdom Vishnuvardana died while fighting Madurai Sultanate and his son also met the same fate within an year. Immediately, in order to avaoid political instability, the Queen Krishna Taayi donated the Kingdom to the Generals of the Hoysala in front of the Sringeri Sage. From the ashes of the Hoysala came the Vijayanagara empire, which flushed out all the sultanates of the South and established a Hindu Empire. This was the time the Bhakti movement started. Kannada Bhakti movement saw the beginning of Karnataka Sangeeta (Carnatic Music). Tukaram in Maharastra was inspired by this Bhakti Movement and enegised Maratha people which led to the foundation of Maratha Empire. Similarly, Mira Bai, Krishna Chaitanya, Kabir etc energised the native people. Karnataka did not even allow the British to settle in the land. Just google why the Parliament Complex in Dehli has the brave Rani Channamma Statue. Just search for Vidurashwata Brahman massicare you will understand the resistance against british in the South. How is it possible a language called Hindi which did not even have a grammar until 1954 be a language of 45% Brahmans?. Hindi is a old wine (Urdu) in a new bottle (Script). Congress indulged in it in a sly and deceptive manner but the BJP seems to be swayed by an autocratic and authoritarian attitude. Those who insist upon one language as a sine qua non of nationality in a country of many languages are but fascists. Insulting people who do not speak Hindi is only too common. @@bhargavrao7159 First of all there is nothing called Aryan and Dravidian race, the entire India belongs to one race. British used the cultural difference in the North and the South to divide India in the name of Aryans and Dravidians (Dravidian can be a language classification but not a race).
You can not fool us to promote your regional language.
Before closing, the parliament promised that they will bring more Sanskrit words to Hindi. While pure Hindi Scholars are sleeping, the Urdu Scholars keep adding more Arabic and Persian words to Hindi. Stop the drama of making Hindi as national language instead educate the Hindi speaking belt. For your information, Kannada language has the distinction of highest collection of literature in India, it has won highest Sahitya academy awards and it was the language which was leading the Jnanpeet award with 8 awards until the awards were started to be given based on life time achievement. All these does not make Kannada is greater than Hindi. We are all equal.
Even during Gandhi was there we showed our opposition to Hindi that time itself.
If Gandhi was willing to make Hindi as a national language then why it was done that time itself.
He also tried and failed because that time itself South was not accepted. South accepted Gandhi leadership in getting freedom from Britisher and not to impose the unwanted Hindi language on us.
Yeah if that had happened, then the present india would be atleast split into 3 parts if not more. Lets not hypothetically do it. And they should know that 1% population of india is 1.38 crores.

He is a racist bigot who never respected non Aryans or muslims. He is drama king. He diverts attention by going for fasting. What he said or what he did should no longer be our concern.
If it is a norm that the PM should address the nation during Independence Day celebration only in Hindi for the reason that Hindi is the language of the majority of the people in India, then it is undoubtedly unconstitutional. Any citizen can become the PM of the nation. If a non-Hindi speaking citizen becomes the PM, it would be unjustified to compel him to address the country in Hindi as has happened in the case of Deva Gowda. The right procedure is that a PM shall address the nation in his mother tongue or in any other language in which he is fluent, and the translation of his speech should be made available immediately by the regional media in their respective local language.

ഭാരതമെന്നു കേട്ടാൽ അഭിമാനപുരിതമാകണം അന്തരംഗം. കേരളമെന്നു കേട്ടാൽ തിളക്കണം ചോര ഞരമ്പുകളിൽ.

English:
When you hear that it is India, you should be proud.
If you hear that it is Kerala, it should shine in the blood veins
we know hindi as a second language
When she says do not know hindi how he understood what cisf said
SHe is lying....she herself listens Hindi songs....this is what Tamil People dont understand ...they just get played away on the hands of this Dravidian Politicians
Just because we understand someone is speaking a particular language doesn't mean that we understand everything word by word.
I am marathi and hindi is harm all regional language.
Stop imposing hindi.
@17.05 Mrs. news reader, you are saying that the PM will talk in Hindi . Then why is he the Prime minister if he could not speak for the whole country is English. Also, I would like you to put a similar graph for the GDP made by the Hindi speaking states and the taxes paid by us non Hindi speaking states.
Better to say, why don't your PM speak for the well educated people in English language . We're as he speaks to his local people (illiterate ) in Hindi.
How, Tamil define Tamil Nadu, when other language speaking people are living in Tamil Nadu, the same way Hindi define Hindustan. I feel, Hindi( Sanskrit) and Tamil should be the National languages, as both the languages are oldest and Tamil is one of the national languages, in some of the Asian countries. sometimes, even Bengali.
Tamil are 85 % Tamil Nadu, whereas Hindi is not a language of more 35%. Hindi and Sanskrit are not synonyms. (Hindi is much younger language derived from Sansikrit). And there exists no country with the name of "Hindustant", except in fiction.
@@geetanjaliiyer3728 85% is Tamilians in Tamil Nadu, I agree. What is the condition of Tamil language, at present. In due course, English will be the medium of instruction, in most of the cases, for their livelihood. Then what would be the condition of Tamil fictitious,to say this total land as Hindustan. Most of the countries around us , even, known to that
hindi is not a national language is a other language
Dravid nadu
Pakistan got single language 😂 policy, why they are not developed like Singhpore. Language 😂 doesn't matters. Much , political will to develop the country. One Among us 😊 become politician and always think about making money 💰 depositing in Swiss Bank . Same happened both in Pakistan and India.
0:12 she herself concluding Hindi Is Nationalism identity ....dump...
First of all to call language spoken by 100,90, 80, 70, 60 million people, regional languages is a cruel joke. India is not a regular nation. It’s a country of continental proportions. We need to understand that and appreciate it.
