Hi ! I'm from Jammu.I was lucky to visit Meenakshi Amma Temple in December 2022.I'm in love with Tamil Nadu and the way people are attached to their culture. I'll visit the state again next year.
Unfortunately anti hindu TN government is destroying temples of TN slowly and step by step..They use gundas to destroy Murtys and portray as it done by a mental patient ... we hindus are very disappointed about it..
I am from Tamil Nadu... As you said Tamil people are connected to culture and rooted... But sad thing is there is tremendous effort from every corner from school, to cinema to change that.. . People are not realising it
I am a millennial who grew up in Chennai, 100% agree with what Keerthi said about atheists are celebrated as intellectuals .Most political leaders in the past were atheists . The society conditions you from a young age in Tamil Nadu . Hate Hindi is a political ideology for most of the millennials who grew up in Tamilnadu in the late 90s. Taking risks to become an entrepreneur or to go against the normal is mostly discouraged by the family or society . Chasing wealth is frowned upon in Tamilnadu .
You truly are preserving the true culture and traditions of India even today, while the rest of India is deliberately forgetting them. In fact, this is the result of distorted history education that we suffer from. If Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had been the first Prime Minister of India, we would not have to see India in this condition !

As I am from Tamil Nadu, I am very happy to know that North Indians are also respecting south Indians in the same way we do... And It have to be, as we all are Indians!
Then you better know there is immense love for southern Indians in Northern India. It is only in Southern India, I realised there is some kind of hatred due to their politicians and the Aryan Invasion Theory used to pollute minds of even class 6 students.

@BeerBiceps - as a tamilian from Chennai Few things to mention if at all you get to this comment 1. Tamil people respect and promote modesty ,humility and humbleness that being said you’re not penalised for the contrary - most celebrities own materialistic things that indicate status and it’s not frowned upon 2. Parents are very involved in their children’s lives 3. Alcohol, smoking , partying , night life is generally societally frowned upon 4. Curfews are big thing - even as a 25 year old professional parents expect their children (yes the 25year old is still a child in their twisted mind ) to be home on time or be well informed if any delays 5.Hindi is hated as it’s forced upon us - given the choice people will take it up 6. Political awareness depends on the person and your upbringing - I personally like to think it’s a rationale choice 7. We don’t expect you to speak Tamil fluently - but the effort to attempt to understand our traditions , culture , language will not go unnoticed
Alcohol, smoking , partying , night life is generally societally frowned upon - This is actually progressive. Corporates want you to think otherwise because they can't influence you without this. Hindi is hated as it’s forced upon us - given the choice people will take it up - No, Hindi is not hated, it's only the imposition attempt which is hated.
I have been to Chennai for couple of days , few years ago and I was charged double only because don't wanted to waste food,& ate it in small portion .Iam not a rice person.
I'm not any party' s supporter . But as I visualised my state's political and cultural, as well as behaviour changes for 40 years... It's all because of these unethical narrow minded people from film and political background... Deep in our villages the culture is preserved only because of these God-fearing people... Jai kisaan

@@जागृती-ध8झ idk which one you're asking about, but here's a brief: From Keerthi's podcast, I learn more about the parts of our Indian History that have not been taught so well by our present education system. From Ranveer's podcast, I started watching due to the spiritual leaders from different walks of life, and I learn a lot about spirituality, history, and of course current geopolitics. Now if your question was genuine, then I hope you got the answer you were looking for. But if your question was sarcastic, then my question to you is- why bro? Have you really got that much time on your hands?
Ranveer, More podcasts like this are needed, that can help connecting our different states together. Being a North Indian living in Singapore I know a lot of Tamil friends and they are well cultured, deeply rooted to their traditions and have a beautiful language. It should be us learning their language too. The reason being Tamil is lot more complicated than Hindi, and has some wonderful literature, some of their words we cannot even speak properly and their passion towards their language is something to learn for all the North Indians who sometimes feel ashamed in talking in Hindi usually on a foreign soil.
That’s because hindi is not a language of North Indians as well.. its a modern languages imposed on north states.. every northern state has it’s own language many of which are not constitutionally recognised and taught to kids.. like Keerthi mentioned some languages are lost.. one example is languages of Bihar.. when Bihar agreed to accept hindi as state language people stopped talking in their mother tongues..

About the school discipline she spoke of not allowing girls to wear Payals, Jhumkas, flowers etc is everywhere I think. Being from Tier 2 city in Maharashtra, same happened to girls in many schools in my city. I absolutely agree with Keerthi here when she says, that such imposition from childhood itself are killing our culture.
I think ,metro or big citys going towards more western.......we are from UP...I don't know about big cityes convent schools ..but in my City...you can go to you school by following your culture...like ,chandan ,on your forehead.....these big schools , its not like teaching but rules us like east India company...we should rais our voice....
I disagree. In schools, not everyone can wear 'cultural ' things. Many cannot afford to. There should, therefore, be certain decorum/ uniform in schools. Moreover, kids may not be capable of keeping the valuable things. Let them be free to do their schooling. It will be safer.
i don't fully agree, there is a reason why kids wear uniform in schools, in schools everyone should be the same irrespectively of the back group, teaching kids that everyone is the same is very important for the unity of the country. There can be some exceptions like a head cover for muslims, because you know why, but other cultural dresses and stuff can be worn outside of school and expressed but within a school it should be kept equal under the kids so no "groups" will be formed in the name of religion or other things and every kid gets in contact with eachother and learns from each other.
Ofc there are many. Sri Krishna Deverayalu Garu, Tenali Rama Krishna, Bezavada Kananka Durgamma, Tirumala Venkateshwara Swamy, Srisailam? Kalahasti, so many more. AP/Telangna are also great!!
your are always welcome, i think everyone travelling should keep an open mind, even if you have superstitions about a state, when you approach people try to put those aside, same for south indians who go to north

I'm from AP and we love Kannadigas. I have traveled to Bangalore, Mysore, and Hampi and received the best hospitality there from the best people. Thank you for being amazing people.
Omg!! this was amazing, so many things about tamil culture that I myself as a Tamilian did not know how to articulate and it definitely helped me self reflect and realize how much of a cultural identity I carry as part of me. Loved this!!!! ❤❤❤
I am from Tamilnadu, living now in Karnataka. Understand both the cultures. Keerthi is right in 99.9% about the tamils. However, the influence of Dravidian parties aspect is huge. When I came from Tamilnadu to do pursue my college in Karnataka, I had a huge pride and I was always arguing with all my Kannidiga friends that Tamil is the most old language and Kannada emerged from that. The proud kannadigas spoke against that, but they were never fanatic about that. This helped me to come out and look at the culture and the language(Kannada) openly. I stopped myself stating that Tamil is superior than other languages. However Kannadigas, the filmdom was also not so famous then, hence they listened to lot of hindi songs, than tamil songs. They never had a problem accepting hindi, like the tamilians. I slowly came out of that vicious thinking of not learning a language like Hindi. I could learn Kannada in 1 to 1.5 months, due to the similarity with Tamil. However, that time there was only doordarshan and I learnt hindi from it and listened to lot of hindi songs. Then I understood, how foolish I was to resist a language without any basis. Though I love tamil, now I became open to the beauty of Kannada and Hindi. Made my life far better, beautiful and loved the hindi and Kannada songs. Being a bridge between Tamil friends and Hindi friends in my higher studies became easier and became popular in both sides. I found lot of sanskrit and tamil influence in varying percentages in Kannada, telugu & malayalam. This made my mind so open and starting understanding the dubious culture of the dravidian parties(especially DMK). Karnataka is a very open minded society than Tamilnadu, in acceptance of others, though they have equal pride about being a kannadiga, like tamilians. Lot of things in learn from them by Tamil guys. However, as discussed, the richness intellectually is good in south india. North India has its own charm, though I have been very little to north. Knowing Hindi really helped in my Bhutan trip, as everyone understood hindi. Even in Odisha. If Tamilians stop listening to the Dravidian politicians, they will learn and grow much more faster. As in Mumbai, there are plenty of tamilians who has learnt Hindi very easily and live a good life. Great podcast, though a little it looked like two teenagers, eyeing each other and talking more about love. May be I found that part a little off my limit, due to my midlife(age), found the conversation very interesting. Never wrote such a big comment in youtube till now
I agree with him. I am kannidiga can speak Telugu and understand Tamil. The culture is same in Karnataka like Keerthi said they girls should be back home by 9 and guys is 11. you should respect other languages and learn language to understand and communicate with people.
Your comment is long but lovely to read...hope more tamils thinks like you ...we need more tamilians like you ...being a North Indian I have immense respect for southern states and their culture, languages....
And one more thing. I want to add because of local politics south Indian people feel that they were descriminated by north people. So they don't show interest to learn other languages like Hindi. Learning hindi is so important when you travel outside of the south India. We strict to only our language, because of that students Lossing some opportunities as well. Tamil hindus and malayali hindhus don't know Hindi then Muslims living in both the states. I felt it's a game play. When you go out to do job in other parts of India, definitely they give priority to the Hindi known language applicant. Why I am putting this is because I faced the same challenge.
Not as a South Indian But as An Indian South India not exist You can say Southern, eastern, western, northern then north west & We can Create so Many Directions.
I'm a Tamilian. You need to redo this interview with someone who actually understands Tamil culture and history deeply. A random college student from the street would know more and articulate it better.
Yes please. I'm tamilian and don't think this is a true and unbiased representation. She also needs to update her language. Please stop using 'to be honest' and 'pissed off'.

I'm a 21 year-old from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I think Keerthi grew up in an interior part of TN so her views are different. 80% of what she said is absolutely true but the scene is completely different in a city like Chennai. Tinder and Bumble are not so prevalent but people are certainly into casual relationships, especially teens and college students. TN is very progressive but at the same time conservative even amongst the other south Indian states in aspects like dressing and grooming. I'm a Political Science graduate so I found the interplay between films and politics that Keerthi discussed very superficial as there is much more to it. And finally, to all the non-Tamil guys reading this, don't think you can woo Tamil women by just showering them with compliments lol
Exactly... Also in Tamilnadu only politicians speak of ethism PPL of tamilnadu follow regions , hinduism too. but historically tamil PPL faced the ill of castism so they detest that part of the Vedic hindu culture.

Im from Delhi and staying in Chennai from last one year. I must say that Tamil people are so good. Due to cultural and language difference there will be some delay in understanding each other but with time Tamil people will prove out to be your best friends.
As a core dravidian ideologist, who has studied this ideology for past 20+ years, I am from TAMIL NADU and will try to summarise the ideology into its core basic structure consisting of two major world-views : Dravidian ideology = Humanism (+Plus) Scientific temper Strangely one of the fundamental duties of Indian constitution captures dravidianess inadvertently in legal terminology : Article 51-A(h) : “To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform” This is the crux of Dravidian ideology. Periyar in a Tamil nationalistic conference : in front of DMK leaders, Tamil nationalistic leader clarified much to the embarrassment of leaders who invited him. “He has no deshiabimanam or bashabimanam only Humanism with scientific temper” Everything else is derived from these two worldviews only.
Reservations are against "scientific temper". The entire concept of social justice is against scientific temper and the entire notion of Tamil being the oldest language also is against scientific temper. Stop spreading lies here

I haven’t come across a single child talking or understanding Kumaoni pahadi basha as much as the elders only converse in Kumaoni .. south i Indian household we keep our languages alive , that’s how culture and tradition glides generation
Interestingly, Kumaoni is among the most endangered languages lists established by UNESCO. North Indian peoples must do something for their own cultures... Hindi/Urdu or Hindustani is definitely a major language of Northern India and all of Indian subcontinent in fact. But it's native only to Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The thing is hindi is not native to any of the indian states. In up we has awadhi bhasha. So it's not native to anyone. It was made I dont know when to communicate
@@snehasahoo1718 Lmao..The avadhi bhojpuri all are dialects of Hindi.. they're not different from Hindi.. though hindi is newer than other Indian languages

Completely agree with you. I m also a Kumaoni and people here are reluctant to their native language . Modern parents are speaking english to their children and don't want them to learn kumaoni... This really disappoints me 😢
Without your hindu identity, your language based identity doesn't matter. Both of the people from West Bengal and Bangladesh speak Bengali. But the cultural difference is huge between these two places. Nowadays if you go to Bangladesh, it seems that you have reached to Arabia. Same thing applies for indian Punjab and Pakistani Punjab.

I am a north indian and i want people to know that no north indian wants to impose hindi on South India. Most people are busy in their day to day activities busy fending for themselves. They respect every states language and culture. People are mischeviosuly trying to a create a divide. Together each state's rich culture can contribute to India's civilisation and can make India a global power that's the reason why China sees India as an enemy because it knows that only few countries can claim to be old civilisations in Asia.
..and in addition i am yet to meet a southie who does not want to learn hindi. We love north, anything that is north , be it culture, language, movies, temples, tourist places, ppl everything.
You are nice. And I am sure many are like you. But I have personally had a person chide me bcz my toddlers didn't know hindi (tuluva in Bengaluru). I had all the intention of teaching kids kannada, hindi, and hopefully other indian bhaashas. I have heard this complaint from cab drivers. Seen north indian girls yell at bus conductors for speaking in kannada. This kind of aggression is a turn off. Same for any regional bhaashas. They should not be aggressive to make migrants learn their language. Aggression is not the way. Mutual respect is🙏
It's not people,it's political parties with a north Indian base, the old Jan Sangh ,Congress and the present avatar BJP, why do they want official communication between central govt offices in Hindi, and also you can attempt civil services exams in Hindi, giving North Indians a huge advantage.

Mumbai has Bollywood and all national institutions wether private or public have their headquarters in Mumbai. So you can't expect Mumbai to be as much Marathi as any other city in Maharashtra.

Few things to mention if at all you get to this comment
1. Tamil people respect and promote modesty ,humility and humbleness that being said you’re not penalised for the contrary - most celebrities own materialistic things that indicate status and it’s not frowned upon
2. Parents are very involved in their children’s lives
3. Alcohol, smoking , partying , night life is generally societally frowned upon
4. Curfews are big thing - even as a 25 year old professional parents expect their children (yes the 25year old is still a child in their twisted mind ) to be home on time or be well informed if any delays
5.Hindi is hated as it’s forced upon us - given the choice people will take it up
6. Political awareness depends on the person and your upbringing - I personally like to think it’s a rationale choice
Tamil channels were pioneer to promote soft porn in their local domestic channels. Perhaps, the 25 year old kids are too naive for it too understand

Being a North Indian living in Singapore I know a lot of Tamil friends and they are well cultured, deeply rooted to their traditions and have a beautiful language.

As a core dravidian ideologist, who has studied this ideology for past 20+ years,
I am from TAMIL NADU and will try to summarise the ideology into its core basic structure consisting of two major world-views :
Dravidian ideology = Humanism (+Plus) Scientific temper
Strangely one of the fundamental duties of Indian constitution captures dravidianess inadvertently in legal terminology :
Article 51-A(h) :
“To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform”
This is the crux of Dravidian ideology.
Periyar in a Tamil nationalistic conference : in front of DMK leaders, Tamil nationalistic leader clarified much to the embarrassment of leaders who invited him.
“He has no deshiabimanam or bashabimanam only Humanism with scientific temper”
Everything else is derived from these two worldviews only.
Dravidian ideology = Humanism (+Plus) Scientific temper
Reservations are against "scientific temper". The entire concept of social justice is against scientific temper and the entire notion of Tamil being the oldest language also is against scientific temper. Stop spreading lies here
She is a Great "intellectual" and Historian ❤️🇮🇳

Hahahaha..u know tamil!!
Kudos to her ! She is very straight and very true to her opinions
As a South Indian I can tell u one thing if u want to win the south indian heart just be genuine we don't like artificial thing we see intentions behind any thing once we got confidence we will keep u in our hearts
We know how genuine the elections of dakshin bharat are😂😂 full of corruption and votes for cash. TN, Karnataka, Andhra, Kerala etc.
But keeping politics aside, I don't feel any difference between people.
True... Rajanikanth Dhoni stardom in TN is an attestation to this...❤
Im making notes for future girlfriend 😂
We Tamils language is our religion 😊
@@shrisuryarathinam97 I completely agree with Keerthi language is not just about communication it is the basis of any culture...Tamil language is the custodian of the great Tamil culture...huge respect for ur commitment towards it...👏👏🙏🙏

This is same for the raveer show , because I started watching TRS for my spiritual development because I was in very very phase in my life because things that are going in my college ( the indian engineering students in the phase of depression😂), at that time I eventually saw the episode with DR. Radhakrishnan sir , its old episode . That was my life changing for me as a college student ,Thanks ranveer for that . Even I recommend your channel to many of friends. Even I watch our hindi episodes. A big thanks from my side 🙏.
Love your beautiful spontaneous conversation. Both of you are youthful, energetic, sweet and inspiring. Somehow, listening to the both of you I feel youthful and energised. Far cry from my 59 years of age.
