Deep Mud Ruined Our Plans-Cycling the Congo Nile Trail in Rwanda-Part 4

  • Cycling in Rwanda is dreamy. The landscapes are stunning, the roads are safe, and there's always a pack of jolly kids chasing you down. I'm riding the Congo Nile Trail which runs along the shores of beautiful Lake Kivu. It's 280km long (170 miles). In this episode, we from Tyazo to...the end of the trail, kind of. Let's just say that a little bit of mud foiled our plans, but lead to something even greater.
Here's a really cool interactive map of the Congo Nile Trail: bit.ly/35T7ZoE

Ryan, you are amazing - your positive attitude and huge heart make the world a better place. It was a pleasure to meet you in Seattle and hear about your adventures - and my wife and I can't wait to ride our brand-new 600's. You inspire so many people to "get out there"! Come ride the Palouse to Cascades trail with us sometime! - Roberto

Calixte you are the man, and Duzer and Priority, what a story. This was one of the best stories ever. I am thinking what I can sell right now to get my Priority 600x, soon to bring one to Minas Gerais, Brazil. My Treks and Specialized will never have the same magic. Duzer and Calixte, keep the bike love alive, mud or no mud. Ride on!

This series has been so wholesome and inspiring. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Always happy and thinking positive.
I would absolutely love to do this one day. Such a beautiful country. The people seem so joyous, generous, hospitable, helpful, polite, and so much more.
Callixte is a wonderful guide, an even better person and an overall exemplary role model and ambassador for his country and riding bicycles as a whole. The planning and development of the Congo Nile Trail is a great achievement and a testament to his character, determination and hard work.
Couldn't be anyone more deserving of the 600x 😊
Additionally, can we just take a moment to appreciate the collective responsibility and care taken by so many Rwandans in the natural conservation, stewardship and goal to keep the country litter free. Sooooo many countries could learn a lot from them and this should become a model to follow the world over.
Thanks for another great video adventure series. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦 Salama ✌🏼

I just seen ur channel and I love it, coming to our continent is even sweeter. This is pure love and joy it's about happiness. I'm fixing or will try buy a new comfortable bike, u have inspired me. Going back to the customs, that's what happens to most African countries, people dont work, no reason that bike should stay over two weeks let alone not knowing where that bike was. I work with customs here in Tanzania and its pain in the backside, they keep ur goods and still make u pay storage. I wish our governments could change this kinda behaviour. In all I'm glad my brotha got the good bike, I'm hooked on ur channels...keep spreading Love. Stay blessed.

This has been a fantastic series! It's great to know that Callixte is gonna be tearing it up throughout the mountains of Rwanda using the 600X. It was made for that!
