I had been stuck on for an embarrassing amount of time. For ages kept signing in cause couldn't see the store from backup on sign in. Such a terrible UI but thanks for saving me alot of hassle ❤
if some one not take backup from old device, and try to login to new device for microsoft app authentication not able to login so what to do, kindly help some of my frieds stuck in new device
this is correct, but pointless, as you still have to scan a new QR code for each Office 365 MFA account that was added, thus negating the whole point of the exercise...
Sorry about your experience. It happened because you skipped a part of the steps. If you did backup initially (on the old phone) and on the new phone, you select 'Restore from Backup,' all your accounts will be restored automatically. Thanks for sharing your experience still.
That happened in your case because... it's either you had skipped backup (from old phone) OR on the new phone, you didn't select 'Restore from backup.'
The app provides a poor user experience when transferring data to a new phone because the restore from backup appears in the same place as the sign-in process.
Yes... It's still possible. 1. Sign Out 2. Go to phone settings, Apps, Microsoft Authenticator, Storage/Details, Clear Data. 3. Go back to open the app follow my instructions in the video. If you don't understand the above step, simply uninstall the Authenticator app, and then reinstall it.

I have deleted the app in my old phone without backing it up. What to do next please?
Hopefully you will have printed the emergency backup codes for each app/website if you haven't then you will never able to get into your accounts.
I accidently click on sign in , can I able to recover my account

Great 👍 You are welcome here!
I hate the authenticator such a stupid thing. Now all my old shit is lost forever on this new phone
Moral lesson from this story:
NEVER FORGET RULE NUMBER 3 = "In all you do, always remember to do Backup, because nothing is permanent forever."
