    I put pretty much the same levers on mine. I’ve got a 2022 SDR Evo. Love it. Going to fit a clear clutch plate cove r tomorrow. Looking for a decent exhaust next. Happy and safe riding 👍🏻

      Thanks. I’m more than happy with my Austin racing exhaust. So take a look at those or also look at SC Project. They have some pretty good looking and sounding end cans.

      @@Robbiemoto I watched your exhaust fit video, loved the pizza and wine combo. 🤣 Did you have to remap with that can or does it adjust on its own? Sounded awesome, think I’ll go for the same or SC project.

      Haha yeah I’m a classy guy lol. Mind you that was like 3 1/2 years ago. No remap needed for just an end can. Bolt on and ride away.

      I’ve changed it again since then as I spilt brake fluid on it and it left a little dark stain. I’ve now fitted the Evotech one.

    Nice, like those. Check your cruise control next time you're out, think the clutch side micro switch is linked to that too.
    Love the rubber topped working table! Where is that from please? Cheers.

      Cheers. I think some people just like to troll regardless.
      I’m really not a fan of Barend mirrors to be honest. I follow Shaun and have seen what he’s done to his SDR. I like some of the mods but not so keen on others.

      @@Robbiemoto ah thats great to hear, love mine too....torn on wether to get a tuono or 701 supermoto next year to partner (and play 2nd fiddle to) the 1290. Also still plan on getting the full akra for it soon

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's crossed my mind on whether to get a little supermoto but for now the SDR will suffice :-). The full akra looks and sounds the dogs goolies but it's one hell of a price and plus you're gonna have to mess around getting the indicators to work after it's been flashed.

  • @tcdz01

    Ugh! Every video of these lever replacements leave out how to get that cam out. Did you punch out the bushing? I've not gone crazy on it but it didn't want to come out with a good amount of force. Other than leaving out the one never before revealed step, good video. Thanks

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks.
      Yes you’re correct. I used a small 8/10mm socket, can’t recall which one now and hammered out the bush.
      I did mention it in the video on what I did but didn’t film it. My bad on being a complete amateur with filming and spannering at the time. Once I decided on how I was going to to push the bush out I forgot to record it.

    Levers have different fittings because the brakes are Brembo and the clutch is Magura

    Do that little fly screen work? Hopefully someone will make one that suits the bike. The blinkers that came with the SDR are they LED? Here in Canada we have the antiquated

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fly screen doesn't do much to be honest apart from makes it look a little better at the front. Yes I believe the indicators here are LED.

    I have powerparts levers that I want to install, and mine seem to miss some of the parts you have on your levers. That part you had to pull out; is it possible to retrieve the whole part (rocker coupling I believe it's called), not just the small pin, without damaging it?

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you referring to the brake lever ? If so I believe so. To remove the pin as you call it I had the use a socket and press the bush out so the whole rocker piece comes away from the main lever. I used a socket just small enough in diameter and a hammer to push it out. Not the best way but it worked well for me. Hopefully I've explained this well enough.

    • @simplyriding1199
      @simplyriding1199 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Robbiemoto yes, I was about to do some smashing myself with a socket and a rubber hammer. I stopped midway though because it felt like I was going to break it. I figure I might as well buy a new rocker coupling and all the necessary parts so that I can keep the original levers intact. I like your description of your “how to videos”. You describe yourself as someone who definitely is not a mechanic. I am just like you but 10 times worse. I often find myself doing way too complicated things that leads me to breaking things.

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@simplyriding1199 Thank you.
      I am fairly confident in doing some basic mechanical things but obviously not in a professional way. There are far too many people on here who like to criticise and pick fault with things. As long as you get the end result you are wanting then who cares how you got there. I only knew how to change the levers by looking at someone else on here do it. It's all about trial and error and a learning process on the way. Have fun.
