Ducati Streetfighter V4S test ride.
"Hey everyone! Just got back from an incredible test ride on the Ducati Streetfighter V4S from Coventry Ducati www.ducaticoventry.com and I have to say, this bike is an absolute powerhouse. The acceleration is mind-blowing, and the handling is razor-sharp, making every corner a thrill. The V4 engine roars with intensity, yet the ride is surprisingly smooth thanks to the electronic aids and suspension. From the aggressive styling to the insane performance, this bike truly lives up to its reputation. If you're looking for a machine that combines raw power with precision, the Streetfighter V4S is definitely worth checking out!"

Good afternoon friend, I have a 1390 Super Duke R Evo. Is this exhaust suitable for my motorcycle and where can I buy it? Thank you.
Yes I believe it is. It’s from a company here in England called Austin Racing. You can order directly from them.
Your videos are better that great. Thank you heaps mate.

Hi Robbie, just seen this video and noticed it’s 3 years old. How did the rack & top box work out for you long term? Rack strong enough? Any high speed stability issues? I see SW-Motech U.K are now selling kits, including same rack, plus mounting plate and their own top box, so was considering for my Speed Triple.. would you recommend?
@@benthomas8250 in all honesty i rode with it once but never toured with it. I had plans for several trips that just didn’t happen unfortunately. I left the rack fitted for quite while and occasionally bungeed things to it but ended up removing it and now sits on the shelf. The short ride I did with the top box it felt ok.
Thanks for your reply.. I travel a bit on my Speed Triple with Kreiga bags strapped to the pillion seat but I get so fed up with packing everything up each day! Thanks again 👍
I’ve toured France and Belgium with the very same box on my old 2011 Z1000 and it was great. Obviously they’re not the most prettiest things on a bike especially naked bikes but it did its job and did it well. No messing around strapping down soft luggage etc. plenty of room in that Maxia. I think it’s 55L.
👌
I usually never comment on any video but feel obliged to thank Robbie for the video, fitted my tail tidy earlier this week and was super easy following this video. Subbed also mate, hope you’re okay after your crash the other month 🙏🏻
Thank you. Comments like this make my day. And thanks for the sub also. I’m doing ok after my crash slow but sure.

When you say 'turned it on and off' do you mean just the ignition key, ie the display on and off? Or actually firing up the engine itself?

Hello, I had the same thing with my Insurance company no surprise tbo small print BS, HOWEVER all is not lost. You can claim via the other persons Insurance however the outcome who's at fault needs to be 50% 50 decision split or higher in your favour. I would get a solicitor to fire some letters into your Insurance and more importantly their Insurance. Get all medical reports done your solicitor will request all info witnesses etc.. Even if you get the wrong outcome from your Insurance and you feel what a load of BS you can take it court IF YOU WIN YOU WILL GET ALL COSTS COVERED!!
Thanks. I’m looking into things.
Are test rides allowed?
Most dealers will let you test ride for an hour or so. But some have age limits and I’ve heard of some ask for a deposit which you get back if you buy the bike. But this dealership was totally fine.
The reason the KTM loses so much money is because everyone knows how unreliable they are ( including dealers!), I loved my SDR 1290, but it only lasted 500 miles before i had to have it picked up by a recovery truck, lost confidence in it so got my money back
That’s a real bummer and sorry you had that but sorry I have to disagree with labelling all the same. Many people have owned them like me and have had very few issues if any. Like a lot of manufacturers if you go on their respected forums, fb pages people are only gonna post about the issues. Yep KTM has had issues but for eg so has BMW with GS drive shafts and exploding 1000rr engines. The main reason for devaluation is the 1390 and KTM dropping the prices so hence previous models are gonna take a big hit. I do hope you’ve had better luck with the replacement. Take it easy and ride safe.
Lucky enough to own an SFV4s in grey nero. Best bike I’ve ever owned. Stupid amount of power. Literally a naked Pani. I may have opened it up to 275kmph, on track, was still pulling, I chickened out. Wind surprisingly good, no issue unless doing stupid speeds (way over speed limits) , just tuck like a sport bike. Such a comfortable bike. 6 hours easy a day in saddle. Agree re stock exhaust, plenty bloody loud.
That’s amazing. I like the grey. Although they didn’t have one on show and also said it was more expensive.
@@Robbiemoto yep, you’re paying for the Ohlins suspension. Nutty Money. But life is short. I can always make more 😂
@@markholmes5695 Totally agree. So feel free to throw some my way 🤣🤣
I have had both bikes 1290 and street V4S, The Ducati is just better all round and makes you a better rider, its just more forgiving getting the power down!
I have to say it felt good for the brief time i had it.
how much more slack/comfortable is riding position vs the regular V4?
I’m afraid I don’t know. This is the first one I’ve ridden.
Exactly the same. Only difference is the suspension. Source: I have one
I have the evo sdr...love the way it adjusts/hankers down in a blink of an eye on how you ride it with the auto adjust. I personality couldnt justify 4k just for an exhaust let alone the full system. My evo sdr does it all very admirably well. As for the pegs and bar reach on the sdr.....its perfect for me. The Ducati looks the muttz, sounds good in std trim but heck to the finance difference for what your actually getting. Thats alot of spare cash for playing with on the sdr. Good to see you back out on a bike, top man.
@@paulpaterson992 Thanks pal, I appreciate it. You’re totally right it’s a big chunk of change and the SDR ticks all the boxes for me too. If the pound notes had of been in my favour I’d have wanted a longer ride on it. An hour isn’t enough. Especially to play with the settings. But as I say in the video it had me reeled in.
@@Robbiemoto I will watch this space 😆....be good to see how you feel when you swing the leg over your sdr when it's fixed.
Haha. It’s not gonna happen anytime soon, unless SDR’s go up in value and V4s’s drop like a stone. I think by the time I get on my 1290 it’ll be like riding a new bike again.
@Robbiemoto ❤ be reacquainted with an ol friend.....not a bad thing tbh. Ride safe, take care of that pelvis as slow n steady wins the race while healing.
rip bug
🤣
Typical dealers, want top dollar for their bikes but give you nothing for yours. I don't deal with them anymore they are rip off merchants. Buy and sell private now. Im over the obsession with horse power now. Those bikes are unusable on the roads these days. Love my Triumph scrambler 👍
Love the look of the scrambler. Cracking bike. I wouldn’t say they are unusable but agree 150- 200hp isn’t needed and you can’t really wring the necks of them on the road but my 1290 can be rode like Miss Daisy all day long.
Cool vid Robbie. I’ve just seen my 2 Pani’s in the workshop. I always send my bikes there, JHP Coventry is probably the best place you can take them in my opinion
Thanks I appreciate it. Hopefully I didn’t get your reg plates in. I did try to edit most out. The place was full of two wheel eye candy. 😁
@@Robbiemoto no man, it’s fine was just a pleasure to see them 👍🏻
Cool. You now put stickers on them saying as seen on TV 🤣.
BMW M1000r 🤔
Ive never ridden one but would sure like to.
I wanted to ask how come not moving from 1290 to 1390 but V4S is on another world: it's a V4, looks better and is faster...and holds better it's retail value than a 1390. P.S. Thanks for the 60fps, much smoother for the eyes. 👌
Thanks. I think I just liked the idea of a different bike. For me there’s not much difference in riding between the 1290 and 1390 to warrant a move. I hadn’t planned at looking at a different bike. It was just by chance that I was filming the panagale and saw the V4s sitting there. I then just started talking to the sales team about prices.
@Robbiemoto Hopefully, soon you'll be the owner of that beast, my friend... Stay safe.👍🤙🚀
Lol, soon as I hear "three or four grand just for the silencers" I'm straightaway 'Money hooring fks can do one'. Just no, not ever, am I going to allow myself to be so egregiously rinsed.

Sorry to hear. Banks and such never will show mercy on you. In fact the game play is to have you make an mistake. All they want is free money and no responsibility.
Thanks. Exactly right. And I unfortunately fell into the lair regarding the excess claim. I knew they wouldn’t show me any sympathy but you have to ask. As the old saying goes, you live and learn.
Hi Rob, without doubt that V4 engine is something the KTM can’t compete with but on looks I personally think the SDR wins. Also the exhaust sounds well enough but looks like a squashed wheelie bin 😂. I’m guessing they offered you sub 10K px but even with the wobbly tooth indicator switch you can’t give up the SDR for that. Stick with the BEAST my friend, take care 👍
Haha. Never looked at the exhaust like that. It does sound damn good though for a standard can. They offered me exactly £10k. Both bikes have their plus’s and minus’s. I’d need to ride the V4 for longer than an hr really to properly get to know it. But after just an hr yes I would have swapped. But as said a longer time on it may have changed my mind.
We have a couple of Ducati V4’s in our rider group and one thing that is very evident is that they are really thirsty. I would say they are 25% less fuel efficient than the SDR, but I guess that’s the price of the extra HP. I’m sure that when you get the Duke back you will remember that awesome character which sets the SDR apart from the other super nakeds. 👍
I recall watching a review video on the V4 and yes they are very thirsty. I think it was said when you get playful with the throttle it’s around 100 miles to the tank. That was a factor on my mind too. And you’re totally right when the 1290 comes back it’ll be like riding another bike. I’ve become quite used to the 690.
Go team super duke! 👍 all we really need now is some bloody decent weather to be able to ride them 😂
For me a fixed pelvis so I can ride for longer than an hr without stopping lol.
Where can you get GT ones
These were from MCN Grafix but I’ve seen they’ve changed ownership so not sure what’s happening with them.
Hi Robbie, I done just that, traded my fully loaded SDR for a V4SP and all I can say is WOW! I liked the KTM but this is different class in every respect! When I leave it in town there is always admirers around it and people commenting when I return. Now that just didn't happen with the KTM nice as it was. Keep wishing mate.
Nice one and fair play to you. I have to say I’ve had the opposite with my SDR, especially when I first got it as it was one of the early gen 3’s around. Proper head turner at bike meets. Amazing having the SP. Proper jealous lol. I think my sub count needs to go up a little along with some extra views to enter that League. 😁. Enjoy.
You did it then ! 👏 😂
I did and loved it. The down side is my wallet didn’t 🤣
@@Robbiemoto 🤣🤣 I rode my SF V2 to work on Monday … due in at DC for a service … dropped my key … straight through engine bay and onto red hot exhaust …. Oh mate that’s a bummer. Most bikes are too much For most people. My 1290 for sure is. No one needs a bike that’s 180-200bhp. It’s just a Willie waving thing to have a big CC bike 😁
@@Robbiemoto Bummer indeed ! Could have been worse … I have a pal who had the v4 off DC at same time as I had mine and he loves it … I’ve just fallen for the V2 version that’s all 👍🏻 be safe mate

Great video, thanks! Are the turn signals now integrated into the headlights?
Hi and thank you. Great question. I never really noticed that you couldn’t see them at the front, and I was looking over the bike for quite a while lol. I’ve just zoomed in on a couple of photos and it does seem that way. Right into the top corner of the headlight. I may be wrong but does look that way.
What mount you using under the chin vent for camera ?
I don’t recall the make I’m afraid but it is one of those ones that is shaped to the helmet. I bought quite a while ago.
Hi Robbie, i've chopped my SDR for the SFv4S and it's the best move i did, it's on another level.
That’s interesting to know. What differences do you feel when riding. So many people have said the SF’s power is more top end unlike the SDR when it’s lower down. I really like the look of the SF.
@@Robbiemoto I find it easier to ride to be honest. The power is just phenomenal especially when you get past about 8000 RPM its blurry fast. Roll on in any gear and it will leave the SDR standing and the best bit they do a lowered seat for it which is 20mm lower, happy days.
Lowered seat ….I’m sold lol. I was looking at them online earlier. V4 and V4s. Wasn’t sure what the difference is between them. Two downsides for me are no fuel gauge and no cruise. Which is a little surprising. Not sure if that’s a common thing with Ducati. Must admit to not knowing much about them. Also saw a new finance thing. 50% down and nothing to pay for two years. Mmmm 🤔
@@Robbiemoto V4s has got Ohlins electronic suspension. The fuel gauge issue is apparently the design of the tank because it goes under the seat and cruise control is a big faux pas.
@@markellison4875 Thanks. I guess you can live with just a fuel light. As I do with the 690. Cruise control though is something I used alot on longer rides on the 1290. I think I may take another trip to the dealer and at least sit on one.
What a cool shop. And with a suspension & motor room none the less!!!!
