These videos were created for Small Blacks TV; aimed at 5-12 year olds. The players were asked to demonstrate tricks and skills these young children could learn themselves...
@rossinator11 i'd like to inform you that it's really difficult to learn how to crouch and leave the back completely flat, that's one of the most complicated skills for a scrum, because it helps you not to fall down and push properly.
@rossinator11 i'm more interested at his feet look at the position of his left foot, that's the key of the feint, not the push imho (that's come second) he throw off balance the defender, then pushed when the center of his weight was off
Ive been practicing all of these for the 3 years ive been playing rugby ( dont worry its not the only kind of rugby practice i do haha ) ive got all of them nailed apart from the freakish flick that mccaw does at around 0:09 seconds
@ROB2935 I am saying that your comment is untrue. Rugby originates in England, at Rugby School. When William Webb Ellis picked up the ball, during a game of Football, 'with a general disregard to the rules'. Therefore, your reply to my origional post, apart from being incorrect, was also pointless. Why you would post it in the first place astounds me. Please do not reply to this as you seem to not have a clue. I'll also correct your grammer for you "have had" and "off". Have a nice weekend.
hauauh.. ok man but you have to agree that it isnt the hardest things in the world! one week of training and you would be doing all of them! this is nothing compared to tricks footballers do, even with a rubgy ball!! you can say im a bloody brazilian that only cares about football... but i found rugby some months ago and im so stoked on it.. and by the way, rugby isnt about tricks anyway... thats what makes it the greatest!
Im ganna have to disagree mate. As a Wing its more 65% Skill and 35% Fitness, I mean yes you have to be fit, but if your a wing you automatically dubbed fast and in-shape, and wings we tend to have to cut and juke the most so we reside on skill.
that thing that byron kelleher does at the start where he spins the rugby ball like a basketball, i can do that but much better. i can keep it going too. takes a hell of a lot of practice!
@ROB2935 It doesn't make any sense? So are you saying Rugby football doesn't come from Britain and Ireland? I think you have has to many days of school.
@6048733993 The name All Blacks came when a commentator made a slip up many years ago and said all blacks instead of all backs during a back-line move. The name stuck & the rest is history. It has nothing to do with the color or race of the players.
of corse they don't look hard, rugby 'tricks' are about effectivenes....not flair(usually, the rest are just for the laugh)..doing them isn't hard at all.... selling them to a defender is...they look slick if you do them right on a pitch... especially the pick-ups... and the dummy passes...
Hey shreyashb, American football is lame, and I am american, rugby is a far better SPORT but we seem to love sports where we only compete against ourselves. Rugby is the second most popular world sport, get with the times Shreyashb.
6048733993 The Name All Blacks has nothing to do with race. The name relates to the uniform not the players. This is just another example of ignorance. Reading and asking questions will help.
christ they are really bad tricks for Pro players. i only played u 14s and i can easily do every single one of them, now i know the dummies are hard to pull off during a game but feckin hell... they´re pros who play the game day in day out. spinning is about the most technical thing they tried and tha was pretty bad. surely there is better out there
Second most popular is Basketball fuu. Maybe you're Mexican or something man. But American football is best. I have not even seen once Rugby in TV in America in 10 years.
Most 12 year olds can do these tricks. NZ (classic underachievers) need to concentrate on winning a world cup folks! If you are Under 21 and from NZ you have never been world champions! I'm surprised these Kiwis didn't choke in front of the camera.
its aweeeeeesome!! thank you for this mate!

Fair enough. I feel that you are probably right on this one.
mccaw has the greatest skills in this ad

Awesome!
The year was 1973 . . . Justin Thomas Wilson was hunting the fallen with an axe and a shotgun. Will you Join the Hunt?

u mean soccer or Gridiron
Cuando algo resulta divertido, es un juego de niños, hasta para los tiarrones
@ROB2935 Rugby football=Native to Britain and Ireland.
@samluke8121 your comment makes no sense. A few too many sherberts?
