Love your videos John. You do it the right way. I'm watching the comments waiting for someone to say to just use double sided tape on those extractors. That will made us both cringe.
cant wait for the finial fit out! pleass record as much as possible because this is my favorite part of the build, going from a blank canvas to a fully functional car.
I have yet to paint them and do the undercoating, I am going to try a new undercoating raptor bed liner hoping for a better finish. The rattle can stuff just isn’t what it used to be.
The ones I used for this car and are my preferred at this point besides originals. See if this eBay link works. www.ebay.com/itm/226291943884?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=OVeqmp56Tvy&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=BN_aheTVQma&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Going that little extra to make these birds correct and show winners, is why VVG is a must for us to watch. Learning every episode. 👍
So nice of you, i learned so much of this the hard way and only hope
To save headaches
For others.
I knew it was going to be ok, but I held breath when you opened the door! LOL. Excellent work.
You and me both! I like to run tighter gaps which means need potential issues to modify to fix
Another great video Jon. Details, details, details. Makes such a difference. Excellent work as always!
All these little details add up for a fantastic finish.

🤦♂️ I hope not, I have seen it done and they don’t stay, the flange around the outside rim isn’t large enough to make a bond.

Will do. I just finished painting the hood and cowl today. It’s
Going to look like a car with those back on.
Great job and thanks for the tips.... looking forward to seeing more...thanks...🔧🔧👍
You bet
Good job John ,everything is coming together very nice.
Thanks! Seems every car I do comes out better and better.
The car looks great! Another excellent video.
I am loving how this car is turning out.
Justin amazing John!!!👍🏽
lol. Thanks
Great job buddy and I love the RTV idea you are a genius
Thanks 👍 it keeps them from working loose
Man those gaps are close!! Great fob
Yes they are! I run a little closer then factory spec, just my preference and looks better to me
Awesome! I never knew there was black paint behind the extractors.
It’s a detail that gets skipped a lot.
Very nice detail work
Thank you!
I chuckled as you were painting, it sounded to me like you were spraying to the theme of Mission Impossible.
That’s funny, wish I was actually doing that.
Good job Jon!
Thank you!
great content! I am very interested to see how all the windshield and post trim goes together for the convertibles. Not much out there on that.
Thanks for the idea! And I will
Make that happen
👍
Thanks!
Id love to have the rusty one in the picture
everyone likes something different, i would agree for the most part with you though.
I would love to have that rusty fender too
👍👍👍👍 Nice
Thanks
@@VinylVillageGarage my son found a shifter knob for a Trans Am, now I just need the rest of the car 🤪🤣😂🤣😂
@@milesunderwood2380 LOL. I know the feeling, I have the horn button for a 1969 trans am formula style steering wheel I just need the rest of the car.
Another great video! The car is looking fantastic. One question? Where are the fender wells? Keep up the great work!
I have yet to paint them and do the undercoating, I am going to try a new undercoating raptor bed liner hoping for a better finish. The rattle can stuff just isn’t what it used to be.
💪😎
Thanks
Great video on the side extractors, but in which previous video did you reference the source of the extractors you used on the Mockingbird?

Looking great! Which re pop T/A hood have you found to be the best?
I have used oer and AMD and so far both worked out well with minimal mods.
Those blobs are not overkill. They are major vibration dampers.
Yes Indeed that is an excellent way to look at it. I have had pieces work loose over time and this seems to prevent that.
I like the pics at the end. Is that Transmorrado hood?
Yes it is. Good eye. That was a time consuming mod but worth every minute.
That gap is to close with new paint for my liking
Down sides of running tighter gaps then factory
👍
Thanks
