"Power resides where men believe it resides. It's a trick, a shadow on the wall... and a very small man can cast a very large shadow." GODS THIS IS WRITING
I forgot how much goes down in just this one episode! Lots of great scheming and loyalties tested. Our introduction to Margery and Brienne. It's a doozy.
In the ancient ironborn tradition known as "the drowning".... When one has paid the iron price they must be baptized in the waters of Pike... By allowing themselves to Literally DROWN themselves they in a sense become one with the SEA itself... "for what is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger"
I love the end of this episode, but I hate it too. Yoren is one of my favorite characters, and one of the few people who does the objectively right thing every time he has a choice. His lines are top-notch too. His defiance to Amory Lorch here is right-on for his character too. The show doesn't explain it, but Lorch is one of the most evil people in Westeros for how he killed the Targaryen children in Roberts Rebellion.
Theon was baptised indeed. The Drowning is done when a boy becomes a man, and since Theon was taken as a ward (or rather, hostage) when he was still a young boy he never did the ceremony. Another reason why the Ironborn look down at him.
I love Tyrion's little ploy, but it's not quite as clear-cut as it seems at first. He told Pycelle he was trusting the Small Council with this secret... so, there's no reason why he couldn't discuss this major development with, say, Varys. Except, when he approaches Varys, he says a different name. Varys immediately clocks on to what's happening, and reveals the plan to Cersei... but with the name he heard from Pycelle, not the name he heard from Tyrion. It would also be awkward if there were more than one mole on the Council. Cersei would get conflicting reports from two people, she'd gather the three of them together to figure out wtf happened, and then there would be a whole new anti-Tyrion conspiracy that he'd have no idea about.
Btw the conversation with Arya is a call back to Robert Baratheon who cant remember what Lyanna looka like but every night he kills Rhaegar. Also the Nights Watchmens death is far more interesting in the books as he's killed "off screen" by an Axe to the head which his backstory is so full circle but what makes this crazy is its a similar Axe that Arya hands over to Bitee when she releases the men in the cage
Idk if you guys saw my reply, but HBO-MAX does have a "Behind the scenes" after every episode. It's at the very end after the credits & previews of the next episode. Every HBO show has a behind the scenes... even the new Dune Propechy
I just wish you guys would pause when you start talking. I don’t mind the talking, hearing thoughts is part of what makes a good reaction, but when you are talking over dialogue and not paying attention to scenes, that’s… for lack of a better word, frustrating
Then watch a different GOT reaction? Make your own? Or don’t watch it at all. You could have decided to not cry your fn eyes out about something that affects you zero but you chose to do it anyways. Yikes.
@ I’m not crying. You are way more bothered than I am. I just stated a criticism. And it’s not that big of a deal, and I’m not going to stop watching, or commenting.
Wow well done not mixing up episodes 3+4 woo fuckin hoo. The peaky blinders fans are absolutely not amused by the shitfest you have created on your channel. Bla bla bla we guess it's fine by now, you absolutely don't care 😮😮😅😅😂😂

Gwendoline Christie, the actress who plays Brienne of Tarth is indeed a model, like you guys said
And while it’s not really uncommon for models to be relatively tall, she certainly takes that up a level or so.
He looks really pretty in Wednesday, they made her look weird here but that book accurate

Even the subtitles say "point of view of the Woof?" 🤣
I love that you committed to calling Varys the "Tea Master" 🤣🤣
The Tyrion/Cersei scenes in the first few seasons are incredible. Riveting and revealing.
Omg these lines. The midnight barber.✂️
For the night is dark, and full of scissors.
The midnight barber that's wild xd

Alfie Allen(Theon) is the best actor in the show. This is non-debatable.

Its interesting to see which details you unnecessarily hone in and focus on vs which scenes/dialogue you completely talk over and ignore
Lmao every time without fail
What did they talk over and ignore?
It's also interesting that it bothers some people so much, how strangers choose to watch a TV show and when they want to speak.
Arianna didn't accept that she was a what until 22? I don't get what she was talking about.
A Muggle. Basically non magical
I replayed it three times. I couldn't tell you.
