Don't worry Mike. The best of the story is still to come, it really just keeps getting better and better. By the end of Season 4 you'll have completely forgotten Robb and Cat ever existed.
@ I read the book counterpart on my lunch in high-school. The Red Wedding in the books is somehow worse… your reaction to this pretty much sums up how it felt. 🥲 My brother stopped watching after Robb died. It’s a PAINFUL one.
Watching people go through the emotional frustration of the red wedding for the first time is always fun. Most of us had to go to work the next day with that being the last thing we saw and it was a struggle.
The wedding was the "oh this show means it" point for me, wiping out an entire storyline instantly. I prefer it that way, knowing plot armor isn't always there.
That image of Robb with Grey Wind's head on his body is so horrific. Still haunts me. Also theres a GOT mod for crusader kings 2 and 3. That would be a fun stream lol
Rob promised to marry one of his daughters and didn't do that. These are savage times he should've known this wouldn't end well. On rewatching you see so many missteps people make and so much foreshadowing, it's so good.
1:12 fun fact....speaking about Captain Jack....that guy that cut Jon off is an actor in Pirates of the Caribbean as the guy that has the wooden eye...lol
52:46 Uh, no. He did that bc Robb said he'd marry his daughter in exchange to cross the bridge. He crossed and still broke his oath. Love dont mean 💩 during war, and Robb thought he could get away with it. It is very obvious to him now that he could not, in fact, get away with crossing his bannermen and breaking their oaths. That's not what a king does.
“The Lannisters send their regards!” 😱. And it wasn’t just Walder Frey. Roose Bolton was the one who murdered Robb Stark and its the Bolton army along with the Freys who murdered the Stark army. Walder Frey and Roose Bolton are equally responsible for The Red Wedding and all on Tywin Lannister’s orders. Roose Bolton is now Warden of the North. He was given the North by Tywin and he was also given Winterfell for killing Robb. The Freys got Riverrun, Catelyn’s Tully’s (Stark) family home. Tywin plays the Game of Thrones like a chess player. Everyone else, playing checkers.
In the books the wedding is even more tragic because we see all Rob's Lords fighting to their deaths to protect him. Like that guy who had his finger bit out by his wolf dies with his son trying to get him out of there
It's funny you mention Jack Sparrow in relation to Orel (the wildling warg) coz he played 'the pirate with the eye'- the eye he constantly drops, in Pirates of the Caribbean! Also gotta say we all shouldve known shit was up when Rob's man, Roose Bolton, got Jamie & sent him back to Tywin without any communication with Rob & then when Jamie told him to tell Rob "the Lannisters send their regards."! Either way they already had all of Freys men since season 1 ep7, I believe. When Catelyn secured their crossing & agreed to all the stipulations Frey said he's sending all but 400 of his men (to guard the bridge) to fight with Rob!!!😮 Love your work Mike, & appreciate all the hard work it must take! Thanx for the best GoT reactions man! Much love from Australia! 🥰💚🇦🇺💛 🤩
This is my favorite series on youtube right now & i love your other movie/show reactions!!! I never comment but i love the stuff lately, keep up da good work Mike!! :D
I've seen the Red Wedding scene so many times and although it's brutal and I remember being floored the first time I saw it, it still doesn't even rank my top 5 most shocking Game of Thrones scenes. I'd probably rate it 7th or 8th. Still a great scene though and the acting, directing and writing are top tier. Robb was never really one of my favorite characters, especially looking back at all 8 seasons, he was really just another cautionary tale like so many in this story and Catlyn warned Robb not to betray his oath to the Freys because she knew Lord Walder was not a merciful man and there would be repercussions, what neither of them foolishly didn't realize is that the Boltons and the Freys had already made a secret pack between them and the Lannisters to take out "King" Robb once and for good but all of this couldd have been avoided if Robb had listened to his mother's advice and married the Frey girl instead of Talyssa. As Cersei wisely told Ned Stark in Season 1 that's just how the game works...you win or you die, there is no middle ground. Besides, if you really think about it, it makes perfect sense that the Lannisters would eventually win, especially with Tywin commanding the Lannister forces, Tywin is a master strategist and he's been doing this shit for over 50 years and never lost a single battle. Robb was a great commander for his age and managed to inspire the Northerners to name him King and march on Casterly Rock but the Lannisters are always 2 steps ahead and had far more resources and influence than Robb. Robb was never going to win this war, he was young and naive and blinded by anger and a thirst for vengeance, but Tywin was just way more cunning and ruthless. This was also Catelyn's fault though, as releasing Jaime cost the Starks their only bargaining chip against the Lannisters. Once Jaime was released, it was game over for Robb and his army.
Daenerys is a symbol of magic coming back after a century in the world, she's a vessel of power and battle that's why people keep pledging to her. Dario Naharis is a crazy sick mother* in the books XD There's a point we learn that he goes out into the city of Mereen to kill someone for sport and comes back everyday. And she has all these crazy mercenaries as well like this gigantic fat mf called Strong Belwas and the little kids that Barristan Selmy starts to train in knighthood. They cut all out that on the show :(
You just survived the Red Wedding. That's the moment you stop being a "sweet summer child" as some people call it and of course the reason reactor channels started in the first place. Keep watching. The north remembers. Winter will come.
Still so angry they cut Lady Stoneheart from the show (In the book, Lord Beric Dondarrion raises Lady Catelyn from the dead and she becomes Lady Stoneheart, a being obsessed with revenge against the Freys. She's a parallel to Arya in her search for revenge.) The end of this is so anticlimactic without the that reveal. Like... Arya gets on a boat. Wow. What a twist.
I remember my husband once he was done watching the red wedding he didn't react the whole time and once it was over he said very calmly, "I sware I won't watch of Tyrion dies"

Never jumped to a video so fast… this is always the best part of the series to watch a reaction to.
I can see why lol
@ I read the book counterpart on my lunch in high-school. The Red Wedding in the books is somehow worse… your reaction to this pretty much sums up how it felt. 🥲 My brother stopped watching after Robb died. It’s a PAINFUL one.
lol same 😂
"Oh he's chill like that? I thought he'd throw a bigger fit." Best line of the video tbh
He did, in fact, throw a "bigger fit"
Watching people go through the emotional frustration of the red wedding for the first time is always fun. Most of us had to go to work the next day with that being the last thing we saw and it was a struggle.
bruh I work at night. I went into work like 30 minutes after the show ended. There was a group of us that watched it and we were all in shock
"Don't you want to teach little Ned Stark how to ride horses?"
SCREAMS INTERNALLY 😭😭😭😭😭😭
"there is toast, toast is good" made me laugh so much lmao
Same lol
The wedding was the "oh this show means it" point for me, wiping out an entire storyline instantly. I prefer it that way, knowing plot armor isn't always there.
ah man, I truly appreciate when that is the case is shows/books
@@narkybark then comes season 5-8 🤣

gotta love the flip in allegiance towards Theon after these episodes, cant help but root for someone in his situation
Rob promised to marry one of his daughters and didn't do that. These are savage times he should've known this wouldn't end well. On rewatching you see so many missteps people make and so much foreshadowing, it's so good.
The craziest part is that the actor who plays Ramsey Bolton almost was cast as Jon Snow lol
That would have been the worst decision ever.
Honestly, it's one of those "every time I get out", some reaction channel starts S1E1 and I'm "they pull me back in" just to wait for S3E9...!
😂😂😂
1:12 fun fact....speaking about Captain Jack....that guy that cut Jon off is an actor in Pirates of the Caribbean as the guy that has the wooden eye...lol
We’re out here doing warlock shit. 😂
I LOVE WHEN YOU QUOTE WALKING DEAD lol it's so funny
"I'M A BETTER FAHHHTHER THAN YOU MAN"
"TAINED MEAT!!!"
lolololo
it only gets better

Yay my algorithm is blessed 🎉 I asked and you served as always 😂 Something for me to toke to 😊
Catelyn’s shrill “NOOOOO” still fucking haunts me to this day
cersei looking extra cute at 0:01
hold up
Facts ❤
Cersei ass always lookin fine and she has the second best costume designs in the show after Daenerys

Tywin also hates tyrion because he is a drunk party animal and goes to brothels. You would understand him if you played CK3 and had a looser npc heir.
Funny you mention Jack Sparrow given that that wildling is Ragetti the one eyed pirate
I always smoked a joint before watching GOT. It made me feel like I was there with them for the good and the bad 😅
In the books the wedding is even more tragic because we see all Rob's Lords fighting to their deaths to protect him. Like that guy who had his finger bit out by his wolf dies with his son trying to get him out of there

You don't mess around with Walder Frey.
Urban Ranger here! For the algorithm!
YOOOO
The screeching “NO!” from you…yea

People in the middle ages actually had realtively good dental health compared to later with sugar, and then processed foods and chemicals
Mike that was my exact reaction to the red wedding I thought I was getting pranked cuz wtf, poor Sansa and Arya lost their parents and older brother.
I’ve been waitinnnng on this
Felt absolutely sick to my stomach when I watched red wedding. To this day I’ve never had a scene give me such a visceral feeling …
Still so angry they cut Lady Stoneheart from the show (In the book, Lord Beric Dondarrion raises Lady Catelyn from the dead and she becomes Lady Stoneheart, a being obsessed with revenge against the Freys. Yeah I haven't seen past this point I LOVED them. I only watch if reactors I enjoy do but I will never get HBO again.
Aside from battle tactics, Robb and Catelyn made all the wrong moves in the game of thrones. They deserved the red wedding.
Teen wolf Reactions!!
