    Thank you so much. My 3d pen is arriving today and I can't wait to get to practicing. I did make the mistake of watching well pros, lol, making amazing things and making it look easy. Your videos address helping me understand that much more was going on that they were not showing. You have a sub for life here. Keep them coming. The pen I ordered SCRIB3D P1 3D Printing Pen with Display is probably the most beginner pen I could find with temp and speed control. Let me know if this is decent I know I will be advancing as I get better but thought this was a good cheap start.

One thing I need to ask: I am unfamiliar with wax paper - it's not prevalent in my part of Australia - I have obtained some but I don't know which side is used for the projects. important tip, don't buy a very cheap 3d pen for practicing before buying a good one.
    i bought one that cost 8$ and that included a lot of filament.
    the pen "works" but only have 2 speed settings.
    really fast and insanely fast!
    also, it has no temp control.
    but the worst part is the constant need to preheat it. even while using it!
    every time i pause for more than a second, i have to wait 20-40 seconds to reheat it.

    • @PotentPrintables
      @PotentPrintables  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for sharing this. Adjustable temperature settings and a button/slider that can change speed settings on the fly (and provide more than just 2-3 defined speed levels) are a must have for me, on any pen I buy now.
      Pausing like that also sounds like a complete deal breaker. Can you share the manufacturer and model of pen, so people (myself included) know to avoid it?

    What’s the difference between unbleached wax paper// parchment paper? I mean do I have to buy the wax one?

      I tested both and found that PLA sticks better to wax paper. I think that is because it melts the wax a little and that provides a nice grip.

    2:21 This man is a god, not only with his videos, but with his bare finger cleaning off the nozzle which you can see is at 175 degrees celcius.

    I love that instead of editing the titles in, you just used a piece of paper with the title on it.
