History portrayed him as a monster (Shakespeare), although many say he must've been a great king because he ushered into law the presumption of innocents until proven guilty, and opened up the literary halls to the common person so they could also become educated. Not a saint by any standard, but far better than history painted him I'm sure. Just found out last spring that I'm related to him.
The actor the who played him was hot
The actor that played Richard III was excellent in his portrayal. I may be 65 years old but I know a goid looking man when I see one. Even the older generation of ladies admire the eye candy that flits about our TV screens. Reign is another series with lots and lots of eye candy. Oh, to be young again! Maybe I could adopt one or two of them so they'd come visit and I could fix them dinner just so I could stare at them while they eat! Lol
Shakespeare painted him to be this monster, exaggerating his features with a ridiculously prominent hunchback and a withered arm to make him appear more venomous and dangerous. Before that, Tudor propaganda did exactly the same by blaming the prince's deaths on him. Whilst that will always be one of Britain's biggest mysteries, I do believe other people had more cause than Richard. Margaret Beaufort would've stopped at nothing to make sure her son had a clear pathway to the throne without obstacles in the way, and Anne Neville, Richard's own wife was a bitter, resentful woman who resented any obstacles in Richards way as well. Not to mention he was appointed guardian by Edward to his nephews and he had always stayed loyal to his brother, hence his motto. I think Richard has been wrongfully misjudged through the centuries and his name thrown in the mud unceremoniously. It's a real shame because he is a really interesting historical figure and I believe he was a good man who was betrayed by those he loved.
Aneurin did very well in portraying the king. Him playing Richard III made me really interested in the latter.
I really liked their take on King Richard as a victim of a lot of gossip and not just a wicked vile man
The last line came from Henry VII in “The White Princess” which was lackluster compared to “The White Queen.” In it, Henry VII said that Richard was beaten and buried alive. That was not true and I don’t know why they added that crap. Especially when Richard was clearly killed and his body paraded around on a horse.
Richard was made out as a monster by a Tudor monarchy. Most of what is 'known ' is from Shakespeare.
Richard himself is to blame if he had kept his word he would not have died like this

Ugh even though I knew the ending I was still hoping that it might have been a different ending...wanted Richard to win 😭 down with the Tudors 😒
BTW, the actor playing him was in "thirteen" the BBc mini series with Jodie Comer. He has matured in his looks and grown even more handsome. Later, Jodie would be in the White Princess, playing Elizabeth of York, Richard's niece. Thirteen is well worth watching if you haven't.
