The words she said to her mother about Arthur at 0:04 IDK is it historically accurate or not, but in fact Arthur died in the young age was so heartbreaking. Imagine if that really what she said about Arthur and her hatred towards her own baby inside her belly, but when she started to love him until he grew up and Arthur died absolutely broke her heart.. 💔
Don’t worry it isn’t historically accurate. I doubt she loved the guy that had her two little brothers “disappear” because he wanted their throne.

Yes, and it would help him keep the crown. If they legitimized Edward's marriage (his brother) then Lizzie would be in line for the crown, but many York nobles did not like the idea of a female monarch so that would solve the issue, Lizzie would be Queen Consort and on the throne. Since Richard died about 4 months after his wife the marriage never took place.
This just threw me right back into my feels. Aneurin and Freya did such a great job they made you want them to be together... Will they ever let me go?

What a coincidence. Yesterday I finished The Reluctant Queen: The Story of Anne of York by Jean Plaidy. We could say that the period when Anne and Richard became King and Queen was one of the saddest, especially when their boy died. I feel pity for Anne as well as I feel for Margaret of Anjou.
Posibly but also it was very dangerous like now becouse was inces. I think the reality of this was a slander to Richard III: like in Shakespeare. He murdered her brothers, poison Anne, married his nice, he personaly killed Henry VI.
Jodie Comer is AMAZING, her role as Villanelle is just briliant. But I don't know why I prefer Freya Mavor to play Lizzie, she's a Princess/Queen Material

Unfortunately it is, but it's all incorrect and overturns all the careful job Aneurin Barnard did to show Richard's death as accurate as possible.

Is there any evidence that Richard III and Elizabeth were in lust? I had read he was trying to win the hand of a Princess of Portugal. Or is that just a figment of Philippa’s imagination?
Historically Richard and Elizabeth were never lovers. At best rumors said he wanted to marry her, but now this is definitely disproved (if not by logic) by the Portuguese double marriage, which Gregory careful ignores in his novel.

May I respectfully suggest that the words of the song being displayed on the screen are an unnecessary distraction from the scene itself, which I feel is spoilt by having words written across it. It's so much easier just to listen to the song and enjoy the beautiful clips. Just a thought.
Hi ! Thank you for your thought :) When we started this channel (and this video was from long ago !!) we weren't as fluent in english as we are now, so we assumed that putting the lyrics on the screen would help for comprehension, as a lot of TWQ's fans are from different countries !

The real Henry VII imprisoned her nephew Edward, Earl of Warwick when he was 10. Henry kept Edward "Teddy" uneducated and alone only to execute him years later so that his son Arthur could marry Catherine. Perkin Warbeck was executed along with him and Henry is rumored to have had an affair with his wife, Katherine. Henry VII killed her uncle and her nephew. He also kept Elizabeth away from her mother, which is the first thing an abuser does. Henry VII's treatment towards women is most likely the cause of Henry VIII's brutal treatment towards women later on. Despite what Tudor propagandists would have people believe, Henry VII was obviously an abusive husband.
I'm not a Tudor specialist but from what I've read about them, I can hardly disagree with your comment ! We make these videos for fun but still we know the TV shows are made to please on a large scale, that's why The White Princess focuses on a love story which did not take place in real life. We're well aware of these inaccuracies. Thanks for your comment, that's really important to keep all of this in mind !
Perkin Warbeck was hanged and Edward was not, they were not executed together. You literally just wrote down everything Philippa Gregory did in her fanfiction.
The execution of Eduardo "Teddy" was a demand from the Spanish kings for Catherine to marry Arthur. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London because he was the main threat to Henry VII's reign (it wasn't the first time a king had done this to a possible claimant to the throne and rival, so it was to be expected). A child even appeared pretending to be Teddy and fought against Henrique. He was a prisoner until 1499, when he became involved (willingly or not) in a conspiracy to escape with Perkin Warbeck. Afterwards he was tried and executed. Did you research and question why Elizabeth Woodville was imprisoned? The reason is not 100% certain. But the biggest theories are that she was involved in conspiracies with some York against Henry Vii or she herself chose to remain a recluse and dedicate herself to religious life. You believe in a lot of fanfic. There is no evidence that Henry had extramarital affairs. Regarding Katherine, there are records of several gifts to her and Henry's wife, Elizabeth, really liked her too, that is, they both liked her. So, it wasn't strange that those present had a good friendship with her. Do you base Henry VII's personality on rumors?

Catherine Valois and the grandfather of Henry VII were married, the thing is his claim descended from his mother who whas from the Royal House of Beaufort. A house that was banned from the line of succession by a previous king. Yorks as the Tudors slayed a king for the throne ( which is very common in all monarchies ). The thing is they hadnt the right to slay Henry VI like that : his Queen and his heir who were totally sane :they killed Edward of wesminster prince and heir to the throne !
Both families were killers. Henri VI himself told Henry tudor when he was just a little boy that he was the lancastrian Heir who will become King one day.

That was her granddaughter. The colouring came from the Tudor side. Jasper and Henry's father, Edmund, were red-blonde. Henry VIII was also.
