DISCLAIMER: This information is based on my experience and will not guarantee you a UK Spouse visa. I am not a solicitor or visa advisor. I am just a person who went through the UK Spouse Visa process and sharing the information I gathered through my experience with those who need more information for their own application.
So in an attempt to streamline the whole process of applying for the UK Spouse / Marriage Visa in 2021, instead of having to hand in thousands of pieces of paper including your application form, the UK Gov and Home Office are now requiring you to fill all your details online through their official UK Gov website and provide digital documents to be uploaded online through a third-party provider VFS Global.
Firstly, I’m gonna walk you through THE WHOLE online process, so you can see exactly what to expect when you start applying for a UK Spouse / Marriage visa ok? This will help you prepare everything you need!
In this specific video, I'll give you a walk-through of the part in the UK Spouse Visa Online Application involving payment of the IHS Surcharge, which allows applicants to access the NHS while living in the UK, and the payment for the visa fees.

I have a quick question in regard to IHS surcharge, I cannot find any answer anywhere. @ 2:00 minute you have an option where it says
Are you applying to join or remain with a person already in the UK?
I selected +Add this persons details (as my husband has Indefinite Leave to Remain and he is not a citizen yet)
But
When I continue on the next page to add more info it then asks for his Visa route (it does not state ILR anywhere in that but it does state Tier 2 which was his previous visa before ILR.
So I am confused either to select that?

Where Digit 4 at the end refers to total number of videos and Digits 1, 2, 3, 4 show which part of video we are at.

Hi Samad, at 1:58 why would you not select 'Applying to join or remain with someone already in the UK' as spouse visa would join someone ? I am an ILR holder and my wife and childreen are applying as dependents so should they select this option and enter my details as the person joining in tge UK ? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

So you don't need to upload online any payslips P60 or employer letters or other documents ect??

That was automated and I couldn't alter it. But seems to be ok, no issues making payments even though it showed husband instead of wife.
@@foodngems Got it thanks. The same thing happened for my wife she couldn't change it so she went ahead and made the payment so we go a little worried but hopefully it shouldn't be a major issue.

Hi Samad, did your husband send you the financial docs (payslips etc) for you to scan/present at your appointment in KL, or is there a way the sponsor can upload/present these documents in the UK?
You can just provide pdf of payslips and financial documents. You need to upload all these files in VFS Global website.

Hi, great videos, I’m going to apply for a spouse for my wife in Ukraine in a few months, so just a few things that aren’t exactly clear to me, so after you pay the health sur charge, and then the visa application charges, then do you need to go back to the application, and submit all your evidence and your documents on VFS global? And also, is VFS global the official site for all countries to use to submit our documents?

My solicitor said IHS is £1500 and over but you said £600 why is it not the same amount

After submission, pay for visa and IHS as soon as possible. You can choose the available dates for your biometric appointment
Hi, it’s a very nice and spot on video. I liked it. I just have a small query. When Me and my wife was applying for visa together from inside UK, It was only giving me(main applicant) link to pay IHS Fee.
I couldn’t find option or link to pay IHS for my wife. Plus when I clicked IHS link and filled up the form, it was showing I don’t have any dependent. But I clearly added dependent and it was showing in my applications. Can you help!

Upload on whatever website your country uses for UK visa applications (like VFS). Yes you need to upload everything before his appointment.
Hello, and thank you for the video. I wanted to ask you something. I am applying for a student dependant visa. My wife did not get her visa approval yet. The person you’re joining or remaining with in the UK
Add their visa expiry date
You need an IHS number of the person you're dependent on ie if your wife has a visa approved, she should have an IHS number. If she doesn't then you can't apply for a dependent visa.
Which documents your partner needs to submit if he living in Europe? ( some people saying if partner living in europ doesn’t want the English certification and his taxes etc)

I was applying for a student-dependant visa but I am getting a unique error while applying for a visa I paid IHS fees successfully and I returned my application to pay Visa fees when I clicked on the "Continue to World pay" option to pay Visa fees I am getting an error that page cannot be displayed I reached out to UKVI it's been 46 days no proper response they are asking me to reach out world pay or suggested to take a refund of IHS and reply fresh application and I followed suggestion n started a second application and paid Ihs fees again, to pay Visa fee I am facing the same error again. I am not sure what to do. It's a humble request if possible could you please help me with this?

You'll have to pay it in whatever currency it shows up. You can use a UK debit card to pay.

I'm French but settled in UK and my partner is in india. Is that the same procedure? I heard that as I'm from Europe I don't need to pay but just the application fees which is small amount.

I am in pakistan and my wife is in UK who is the sponsor, my solicitor advised me last night that now thy pakistan is off the UK's red list i can choose to select the "APPLYING FROM WITHIN UK" Option. I don't know how that makes sense. Can you pls help if that is viable.
Why would you do that if you're applying from Pakistan?

Hello, You are videos are very informative and excellent. I am planning to come to the UK with my wife. I completed my visa application and paid the IHS surcharge. In my wife's IHS surcharge payment details there is an option to provide the visa expiry date which I cannot provide as my visa is not issued yet. The payment cannot be completed without entering this detail. If you can provide some information on this IT would be a great help. Many thanks
If your wife hasn't been issued a visa then this option shouldn't appear, based on my experience (th-cam.com/video/iu7b0Uvj4c0/w-d-xo.html). You just need to pay for it. Best you enquire with Home Office if there's any abnormalities.

I applied for my husband's UK spouse visa and paid extra for the priority service however, the results of the visa is not here yet. Do you have any ideas why that is? We had the last visa application rejected in Feb 2021. This time, we applied at the end of July and we're still waiting for the results.
Priority service = 25 working days (this doesn't include weekends) after your biometric appointment. If it goes beyond this then you can email asking for a follow up. If it takes longer, I speculate that it might be because it was rejected beforehand and they're doing further investigation. Just follow up after 25 working days.
@@foodngems thank you, I’ve tried to call them but they are not answering my calls. I was on hold multiple times for 2 hours at a time over the last 3 days. Next best thing is to email them I guess. This is all very stressful. 😟

@@jiatariq2518 yes, my husband’s visa did get approved. The results came literally on the last day of the priority service waiting time. It stressed us out so much but yeah sometimes they give Results in the last minute. It’s very frustrating.

Can anyone tell me about the new laws is true that uk home office has changed the rules about the wage slips Do we have to show them 12 months wage slips instead of6 ?
@@maham4647 yeah that is but this rule is for those who's working in two areas...if you're working in one place you don't need to show them 12months payslip and yes if you are working in two places then you have to show 12months payslips

I just submitted supporting documents by pdf for spouse visa, then it’s gave me the option to preview the document, when I previewed the document didn’t show me the full pdf that I uploaded. For example, I attached 7 photos on a pdf, then when I previewed it only showed me first photo nothing else. Is that normal or it didn’t upload my pdf documents properly? Please help I’m worried 😟
Booking the appointment with VFS Global is so frustrating. Their customer service is impossible to contact. They are the worst third party company the UK government has been in business with.
