DISCLAIMER: This information is based on my experience and will not guarantee you a UK Spouse visa. I am not a solicitor or visa advisor. I am just a person who went through the UK Spouse Visa process and sharing the information I gathered through my experience with those who need more information for their own application.
So in an attempt to streamline the whole process of applying for the UK Spouse / Marriage Visa in 2021, instead of having to hand in thousands of pieces of paper including your application form, the UK Gov and Home Office are now requiring you to fill all your details online through their official UK Gov website and provide digital documents to be uploaded online through a third-party provider VFS Global.
Firstly, I’m gonna walk you through THE WHOLE online process, so you can see exactly what to expect when you start applying for a UK Spouse / Marriage visa ok? This will help you prepare everything you need!

Hi Sarah, I just wanted to leave a comment saying my wife finally got the spouse visa to come here to the uk thanks to your videos, and obviously extensive reading on the appendixes! Only took two weeks to get a decision (priority service) after the appointment at the visa centre. Thank youuuuuuuu once again
Well done for doing this. I have dreaded applying for years, even though we have money and tick all the boxes. I hired a solicitor and the process was over in just over 4 weeks which came as a tremendous surprise. For some who are unable to hire a solicitor this is very helpful.

About travel history your information is not correct. I think it depends on the country of nationality. For me as an EU citizen, they have asked only the two most recent travels to US or EU,.... countries.

A very beautiful and productive information. I am applying from Pakistan and on the gov web says a a criminal convection record. Do I need a police clearance from Pakistan? I am confused, would much appreciate to put your thoughts on it. Regards
Hi, I have just been looking at your video and it’s very helpful. Just want to ask one question, with the employment history section, is it talking about the employment history of the person as a whole outside of the UK? Because when I was filling out the application form, it didn’t specify employment history for the UK, it just said employment history.

Do I need to collect it in person, or is there an option where they can send it to my house? I ask that cause there's no VFS office where I live. Its about 8 hours driving. The applicant part is about the person abroad and the sponser part is about you (UK citezan), You put his details in applicant part.

Only pay slips and bank statements must be within 28 days old of the application submission time? All other documents, including employment letter, landlord letter etc. can be more than 28 days old? Please clarify.?

If you are married to your partner and she's not a UK citizen, then probably the partner dependent visa.

hi , regarding adding previous job within 12 months, as i have worked for different companies in the last 12 months so i'm combining all my incomes which are total 19200£, when i add my previous jobs there is a section which ask about total gross income, should i put how much i've earned from that company or how much was gross income i would have earned if worked for 12 months?

I only have my passport from 2016, and some of them does not even have entry / exit stamps! I.e Hong Kong, Australia. What should I do? Help!
Hi Samad, many thanks for your effort to share your experience and helping us to navigate through maze of visa process. I've got ILR (after being on Tier 2 General Migrant) and would like to bring my family into UK (wife and kids) and was told by agent to use UK Family route and there will be a requirement to supply adequate accommodation evidence. Have you seen it as a requirement applicable for you?

Yup. You can save it and the UK gov site will let you send an email link to where you last saved the application.

Hi @jom. That part where they ask “ do you have a degree taught in English?” And them they state that the degree must be equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree or above.,,, now is a diploma certificate eligible and when happens if you say NO? …..Please. Kind regards

Hi Samad, how can you change "current Status" (country you applying from). You can changed if you have visa or not in that country but somehow you can't change the country itself. & if the form is not submitted yet, is it possible to start a fresh one with same details but a different "current Status" (Country),? I started the form in one country but ended up in another and now can't change Current status. 😩
Is Spouse Visa same as dependent visa? I think spouse visa is for someone whos married to a uk citizen and dependent visa is for someone whos coming to uk basis his or her partners primary visa i.e. tier 2 or tier 5.

If they ask for applicants passport number, then they are refering to applicants
Hi Samad, in this video,( in the employment history) where there is a long list of profession, you ticked 'I have not worked in any of the jobs listed above' I am confused if they are talking about the applicant's job in UK or BACK HOME because it is not clear in the question. Where did you find this info please?

Hi there, thanks so much for doing this video! In the travel history section, you said that if you select 6 or more times, it will ask you to list all of the visits, but in my application it only asked me to list two most recent visits even though I selected 6 or more. Have I done something wrong?
That is for recent visits into the UK. "6 or more" is travels around the world.

If your children are not independent then probably tick Yes but explain that they are British citizens?

There is an important question if you could answer for. Being international student can we apply uk spouse visa from the country where we live or it is compulsory to go back to the home country and apply from there ?
I think you can apply to switch visas but it's a diff procedure. Best to search in home office gov website
Hello, once you started the online application did you have to complete it in a certain amount of time or could you start it a couple weeks prior to paying the fees and booking a biometrics appointment?
You can save the application and return to it. They will send you an email with a link to where you need to continue. There's no rush with it

Hello! for the convictions and other penalties - it says to only list if you have had 3 or more. I've only had 2 speeding tickets in my life, so would I still mention that in my cover letter?
Ermmm yeah I'd probably mention it in a cover letter. It's better to be honest in your application and show that you've paid your fines (if you have proof of the paid fines, you should include it). They do background checks on you so the more honest you are, the better and less suspicious
For the ownership status of your home: I am planning to select 'other 'and mention that it is owned by my father and our family lives together . Since I don't technically "own" it, I thought selecting other would be better. Would that be alright ? or does it not matter ?

Well detailed content! Please I was still filling my form then it took me to 'Pay' and then to another window for Immigration Health Surcharge. However, upon getting back to the application, I was no longer able to change some information in the application. Now I'm worried that i can't make changes to some information. Is there any way of making these amendments?

Hey, from what I see now they want this critera, "You have met in person and have lived together in a relationship akin to marriage or civil partnership for at least 2 years;". How would you get that if they can only come to the Uk for 6months at any one time?
That's for civil partnerships - you must prove you've lived together - I assume in this case the applicant would already have some form of visa they've obtained to live in the UK and are changing to spouse visa.

Basically I'm a US citizen who's engaged to a British citizen. My question while I'm here for that 6 months may I apply within the UK and would that be a marriage visitor visa or because I'm already here that we plan on getting married within this 6 months stay. Must I make an appointment for the marriage prior to applying to show those documents or can I just directly marry, and then apply for this spouse visa? If that makes any sense. If you want to get married in the UK, you'll need a fiance visa. You can't marry with the visitor pass, that's not allowed. You'll have to get married outside the UK and then apply for the spouse visa from your home country.

This is really interesting, I just want to say my process, I am from Colombia and actually I am with the visitor visa, we have a solid relationship( we’ve got marry in my country plus 6 years of relationship )
And we want to apply for spouse visa, but with my current visa is not possible apply within the UK, but we try to find the way to do it from here and something happened my country is in the red list, so we called the COVID immigration line, and they said that because this circumstances I could apply from here, the only thing that I need to do is just explain in a cover letter the circumstances.
I hope this could helpful, for people that is in a similar situation.

Hi sister, I got married in september 2019, i left bangladesh on November 2019. Haven’t seen my wife after that, but I always spoke with her on video and audio call and we chatted with each other on whatsapp also, i sent her money almost every month. But I can't apply for her visa untill may this year, that will be 2 years and 8 months after i got married. Do you think they will refuse my wife application for that reason, saying that its not a subsisting relationship?
