  • Our Sales Director, Dale Chapman, noodled with the Eventide H9000 and checks out a few of the presets. He is using a Gibson Les Paul DC into a Kemper on a super clean setting (which you can hear at the very start of the video) straight into the H9000. The audio for this video is straight from the desk. Listen on the highest quality through studio monitors for maximum effect!

    I've already scene videos of the H9000 hooked up to synthesizers that have meager sounds. Basically, the H9000 makes a $500.00 synth sound an orchestra of synths. Hearing what it can do with guitars... well... my mind is blown again.

    Was thinking 'Where the Streets Have no Name' even before you started playing it. Quite the toy box/tool the H9000 clearly. Bought the H3000 Plugin which is great. That just looks immense though.

    Thanks for the nice demo!! Just wondering if the presets you are using here have an equivalent in the H8000 unit? I have the H8000, but I never found such kind of nice chords sounding. Probably this is the extra power of the H9000 over the H8000? It would be great if you could descibe the effect routing of the sound, let say the one at 2:13 or the one at 2:23... thanks!!

    • @sxproaudio
      @sxproaudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suspect that the presets shown here aren't available in the H8000 - i'm not sure it makes sense to make a new unit that does the same thing and sounds the same!

      SX Pro The preset library has carried forward since the days of the H3000, with new additions each iteration, some specific to the unit such as the GTR4000. Vai, Satriani, Clearmountain were some of the contributors during this era. The 7000/7500/Orville era Eventide improved functionality and added VSig editing capability, the 7600/8000 series connecting directly via FireWire included some of Italo’s fresh creations. Italo has a website offering library updates for Eclipse/Orville era, as well as updates for the 8000 series, stunning patches similar to your demonstration. However, the 9000 series is effectively 8 H8000fw units in one, capable of multiple patches feeding one another in complex routings, so no need to run stems back out an AUX, it’ll do it all at once. Wonderful units, all of them. There are no lame Eventide units, even now still the most capable line level effects processors available. Nice to see us enter a new era where everyone from Fractal to Line 6 entering the foray of line level processing, with the power of PC’s opening the door for everyone at various price points. Kind Regards.

      Nothing like an AXE FX at all. The Axe FX is an excellent guitar preamp simulation with excellent effects included. This is more a dedicated FX unit, capable of surround FX and many other things the Axe FX can't do - i'd say the two units are not comparable and very much compatible.

      Stuart, this is not A(1 channel) processor. It can be used simultaneously over multiple tracks. Consider a producer/mix engineer like myself who earns his living mixing, this 7000$ is quite reasonable for the number of simultaneous channels and many different colors this unit can bring you. This is like a UAD Octo with 10 times the power and 100 times the sound quality.
